Seems like this ship is more reminiscent of the NCC 1701 refit or the NCC 1701-A rather than the TOS Enterprise. I have four of the Star Trek Shipyards series of books that are fair reference books on the ships of Star Fleet. Just ordered the one on Borg vessels.
I prefer the exploration stories of traditional Star Trek (and TNG, Voyager, etc.) to the situational stories such as Deep Space 9 and Picard. Looking forward to Captain Pike's adventures.

I think the ship is awesome. It's not an exact replica of the 1960s version, of course, but it retains the "feel", IMO.

I love the title sequence, and the "retro" feel of the ship.

I`ll give it a shot hopefully the stories are more Original or Voyager like than TNG or Discovery like
Shit, I'm now streaming Halo, Picard, Discovery, Outer Range and getting dinged for
Peacock and Paramount? on top of all the rest.
