President Joe Biden went on a bizarre rant on how former President Donald Trump and other Republicans are people you want to "smack in the ass" at a campaign event in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

On Saturday, the commander-in-chief spoke to members of a local carpenters' union in Scranton, Pennsylvania in support of Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz in their campaign.

As the election nears it's final days, polling shows Trump and Harris in a tight race in the key battleground state.

During his speech, the president called out Trump and Republicans, implying that in his old Scranton neighborhood they'd have resorted to violence against people like that.

"There's one more thing Trump and his Republican friends want to do. They want another giant tax cut for the wealthy," said Biden, then connecting that to being macho somehow. "Now, I know some of you guys are tempted to think it's macho guy."

"I tell you what, man, when I was in Scranton, I used to, we used to have a little trouble going down The Plot once in a while. From Green Ridge," Biden told the audience, gritting his teeth as he added, "But I'm serious, these are the kind of guys you'd like to smack in the ass!"

The president's Saturday remark evoking a physical confrontation comes days after the controversy over his infamous "garbage" remarks, which comic and pundit Bill Maher on Friday said are a much bigger deal than Democrats realize.

Biden also claimed Saturday that the former president would repeal the Affordable Care Act along with the CHIPS acts if he regained the White House. The president insisted Trump's tax policy would only benefit the rich, claiming he would cut Social Security to cover tax cuts for the wealthy.

Another example of the both sidesism from the media that is bringing the politics of our country to the brink of ruin.

Biden should have explained it as doing the "weave" and be done with it.

His "rant" was not bizarre, it was just a tad jumbled, like 90% of Trumps rants are.

Then the article says Biden hinted at violence. You mean like Trump does 3 or 4 times a week?

The election is over and our media's failure to do the right thing is baked in at this point.  It has been disgraceful.

At this point, you have to wonder why they allow him to campaign?...

Both sidesism? From Mediaite?.. lol

Of course , Mediaite has some right leaning writers. But not only that, you are making my point.  A site that is supposedly "left" makes a weak argument that Biden did something wrong here. Why?

That Trump is running at the mouth, and, as you admit, Harris isn't.

I'm certainly not the first to notice. I've seen plenty of articles about her conundrum with expression....

Let us put it in context:

"I tell you what, man, when I was in Scranton, we used to have a little trouble going down the plot once in a while. These are the kind of guys you'd like to smack in the a**."
