A House hearing Tuesday descended into chaos when Chairman James Comer (R-KY) threatened to have Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) forcibly removed for calling President Donald Trump a "grifter."

During his speaking time, Frost called Trump the "grifter-in-chief" and accused both him and Elon Musk of using their positions to "enrich themselves to the tune of billions of dollars."

"So if we wanna look at waste, fraud, and abuse — which I'm down to do — why is there complete silence on the other side of the aisle about looking at the complete grifter that is the President of the United States," Frost said, "and the richest man on the Earth, which is looking into things like social security and different things like that? Why don't we investigate the real corruption?"

After a brief period of multiple committee members talking over one another, Comer restored order and asked Frost to "revise" his prior remarks. Comer also said Frost "improperly" identified Trump.

In response, Frost doubled down by calling the two men "President Musk" and "grifter-in-chief Trump."

Again, this resulted in more cross-talking as other members of the committee — Comer included — took exception to Frost's characterization of Trump and Musk.

Frost somewhat relented, calling Trump "President of the United States Donald Trump, who's engaged in grifting of the American people."

Frost was again interrupted as Comer said there was "pending motion for disparaging the president." The Florida Democrat, however, continued to accuse Trump of grifting.

"I can say that Trump is grifting!" Frost said. "What I will withdraw is calling him 'grifter-in-chief.' That is what I will withdraw."

Comer then ordered that the words be "stricken from the transcript" and barred Frost from speaking for the rest of the hearing.

When Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) was called on to speak, she attempted to come to Frost's defense before her voice was immediately snuffed out by more shouting.

"Insulting people's appearance, as well as trying to fight them, isn't a problem," Crockett said, "but we're so sad that our little leader-"

Comer then yelled, "Skip her!"

"Go to the next one!" he added.

Later in the hearing, Frost was again given the opportunity to talk. He called it "despicable" that committee tried to "silence" him.

With his microphone cut off, Frost continued to speak as he gathered his belongings and started to leave the hearing.

"Mister ranking member, I am going to have the sergeant at arms remove him if he doesn't refrain!" Comer said.

I would love to see Maxwell Frost debate Donald Trump.  That would be the mismatch of the century.

Trump has been found liable in court for business fraud.   That is a definitional description of grifter.

I hope Frost is not arrested in the middle of the night and thrown in a dungeon.

The Democrats response to Trump is always to try and out Trump him.   Congrats Maxwell Frost, you embarrassed yourself and broke the rules of the House.

And naturally, the people who claim Trump to be such a danger will cheer on the rule breaking.

Every committee Comer runs is an embarrassment.  Frosts contribution here is to remind people of Trumps actual nature.  He did nothing to embarrass himself or the Democrats.  Trump supporters are pathetically deluded.

He broke the House rules acting like a buffoon and you cheer him on.  It's why  the left's denouncements of Trump ring so hollow.  The rules never apply to them and can always be broken by with the anti-Trump excuse. Just two sides of the same coin.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Boebert were yelling "Liar" at Biden during his last State of the Union address and no one pulled them off the floor either.  So, it's Ok for Republicans to hurl whatever insults they want, but forbidden for Democrats.  Got it.

Hmm. No one was pulled off the floor and Wilson didn't violate the House Rule that Frost repeatedly did.

And naturally, you will continue to excuse the rule breaking as long as it is Trump that is breaking the rules.  How fucking pathetic.

House Republicans only pretend to support freedom of speech.

Ain't the rule when the Dems/Libs wanna impeach someone or hold months long hearings on protests done by Repubs.  Hell, the Dems/Libs impeached Trump twice with absolutely little to no assistance NOR SPEECHES from the Repubs.

And, also 'member that Comer was the head of the FBI that said Missy Clinton wasn't guilty - no matter what the proof/substantiation was given by the Repubs - of which there was plenty.

How soon we forget that the Clinton and Biden crime families are the real grifters. The left wing grifters and thieves are being exposed, and they're scared shitless
