Gunman arrested for Philadelphia mass shooting that left 5 dead is BLM activist who wore women's clothes
By: Emily Crane (New York Post)
The rifle-wielding suspect who donned a bulletproof vest before allegedly shooting dead five men and injuring two children in Philadelphia has been identified as a Black Lives Matter supporter who shared gun-toting memes on social media.
Kimbrady Carriker, 40, was nabbed shortly after the bloodshed in the city's Kingsessing neighborhood Monday night, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported, citing sources.
Cops haven't yet publicly disclosed the suspect's identity.
On his Facebook page, Carriker posted two pictures of himself wearing a bra, a women's top and earrings with his hair braided long in March, three months before the alleged shooting.
He also regularly posts about supporting Black Lives Matter, including supporting workers who protested in the Strike For Black Lives in July 2020.

Police said the 40-year-old male suspect was armed with a rifle, pistol, extra magazines, a police scanner and bulletproof vest when he fatally shot four men on the street and then chased and killed a fifth man inside a home.
A 2-year-old boy was shot four times in the legs, while a 13-year-old boy also suffered gunshot wounds to his legs, according to cops.
The gunman had fired at police as they chased him for several blocks before he eventually surrendered in an alley, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said.

Carriker also described himself as a computer engineer, and showed an interest in guns, posting pictures and memes of people with firearms.
One image featured a person holding a pistol with the caption: "Wherefore art thou opposition so I may slide upon thine block and runneth down on thee."
Another one of his posts showed footage of several kids firing off rounds from a rifle.

In May 2020, Carriker also posted a video to his Facebook of a burning Philadelphia police car that had been daubed with grafitti including "ACAB" — an acronym for "All coppers are b—-ds" — and captioned it: "I was there; where were you? #we matter." However, It is unclear if he had filmed the video himself.
The shooter, who was taken into custody without incident, didn't have any connection to the victims prior to the shooting, Outlaw added.
Carriker's old roommate, Tina Rosette, 49, told the Inquirer she was shocked to learn of his involvement in the shooting.

"I didn't even know he had a gun," she said.
Rosette described Carriker as "really smart, intelligent, creative" and someone who loved computers, but said he had "an aggressive approach to some things in life."
She recalled him teaching young people how to fight "purportedly" in self-defense — but he failed to give them directions on when to stop.

Rosette's daughter, Cianni Rosette, 24, who also lived with the alleged shooter, said Carriker had flashed a handgun several times.
"He was trying to get me comfortable around guns and stuff like that," she said.
The mother and daughter said they lived with Carriker in 2021 but moved out about a year ago.

The elder Rosette said she believed he'd been in a "dark place" of late but she didn't know why.
Carriker had been arrested in 2003 and charged with possession of a weapon without a license, carrying a firearm in public and drug possession, according to Philadelphia court records.
He eventually pleaded guilty to having a firearm without a license and the other charges were dropped.
He was placed on three years' probation and made to pay over $1,000 in costs.
Carriker had at one point appeared to start his own company, LDS Frameworks, writing software and developing computer games, but it had been inactive since 2019.
At the scene of Monday night's shooting, officers said they found dozens of shell casings strewn across eight blocks.
"You can see there are several scenes out here," Outlaw said.
"We're canvassing the area to get as much as we can, to identify witnesses, to identify where cameras are located and to do everything to figure out the why," Outlaw said.
Cops have since identified the slain victims as Lashyd Merritt, 20, Dymir Stanton, 29, Ralph Moralis, 59, Daujan Brown, 15, and Joseph Wamah Jr., 31.
Keep it on topic. Keep it civil. Personal attacks will be removed.
Such an upstanding member of society.
Other reports show other arrests:
He had a criminal record. Didn't his daughter know he shouldn't have access to any firearm? Why didn't she report it to the police?
Snitches get Stitches.
Aiding and abetting should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Especially when staying silent results in a mass shooting.
As these parents in MI are finding out the hard way.
I am so sick of the excuses. There is enough death and violence; w/o letting a completely preventable mass shooting from occurring.
Yes, two or more things can exist at the same time in one person to varying degrees. This (homosexual) person is wrong for shooting anybody and 'up' the city.
It is a very sick, evil ideology.
Not one of those shootings the left wants to obsess over.
Of course they won't. This guy falls in one, if not two of the lefts victim groups.
You can not label this a "victim group" shooting, unless you have evidence that such groups, plural, solicited and funded the harm done. Where is the proof or are you just jumping to conclusion and trying to frame a narrative against victims?
1. I'll label them how ever I want. That's the nice thing about the 1st Amendment. And on top of it all, I don't have to care about your feelings.
2. The left and democrats have played these 2 groups as perpetual victims to EVERYTHING. The sad thing is, they are gullible enough to go right along with it.
You can mislabel them anything you want you mean; but facts are facts-eh?
Now lets get on with these "feelings" some conservatives imagine a world they are living in is 'short' on; again, facts are facts. In fact, ignoring facts (on this matter) to be "mean" is a feeling some conservatives are exploring pervasively these many years. That is a fact.
As for victims, in this world, we're all victims of. . .well, being born in a world full of feelings, facts, and assorted distortions and illusions.
I'll stick with fact. And judging by the rest of your comment, you have an inability to seperate fact from feeling. Come back to me when you can make that separation.
I'm sorry. Name a relevant set of fact/s you have, starting with how BLM caused this foolish individual to shoot that day and oh where is BLM support for the shooting (not support for the individual). Go!
If you can't do that then I think it is you that are reacting with passion.
So he is a gun nut. Not a surprise at all. Most mass shooters who have social media pages express love and fascination for guns.
No John he is a criminal who never should have been in possession of a firearm.
When are we going to see the trans shooter's manifesto?
Glossing over the fact that he's part the ideology much of the left have supported. Why is that?
Is 'he' the proper pronoun?
Been there, done that.
Next up, recidivism.
So ideology does play a role in these shootings?
Read em and weep Vic
If you go by what was on his social media, he supported both Donald Trump and Black Lives Matter. Disliked Biden and was paranoid about guns being taken away.
This person was mentally disturbed. Black lives matter has nothing material to do with it. He shared a post from Black Lives Matter and he shared a post promoting Donald Trump.
Those are the available facts, Newstalkers and twitter hysteria notwithstanding.
So your ONLY basis for this is he's a Trump supporter.
You really need to try harder.
Supporting a group like BLM, which sparked the 2020 riots speaks for itself. A fondness for guns goes hand in hand with that kind of violence.
Read that and weep
According to Heavy.com he posted (shared) social media supporting both BLM and Donald Trump, and disliked Biden.
Heavy.com is always a go to source after a mass shooting.
Stick your fingers in your ears when Trump is brought up . That'll work.

We remain standing tall, straight, and unwavering!
Vic, you are applying common sense to this. You know that kind of thinking is rejected by those who are trying to deflect this to something it's not. Like in 5.1.1
[DELETED]
Heavy.com has a better reputation than the New York Post, the source of this seed does. And the New York Post is allegedly a major newsspaper.
That is flat out embarrassing.
The source is not the topic. Only warning.
We're keep working hard on it. If we dig deep into into the psyche of this country eventually we will (all) reach truth over error.
[DELETED]
Yes.
Common sense is now regarded as "extreme!"
Plan on doing it anytime soon?
You left out the part where he's a BLM supporter and possibly a member of the alphabet club. Aren't those the lefts perpetual victim groups?
So your ONLY basis for this is he's a Trump supporter. Nothing about taking part in riots supporting BLM.
You really need to try harder.
Please acknowledge that being this shooting is not because of BLM (support) or of Trump (support) of this sad case with a gun running around killing people. There is a third OPTION: Seek-n-Speak to that issue.
Did you miss the part of the article where he has a violent history as well as illegal possession of weapons and drug charges? Acknowledge his history with BLM isn't a contributing factor?
Sorry, not going to happen.
What do you feel motivated him?
Ask the investigators or wait for them to 'input' to the media. I have no idea. What I won't do is launch out into "BL(a)Me City" and cast aspersions on non-sequitar groups or individuals.
This was an entirely preventable mass shooting.
If the daughter had just said something to authorities about her father having a hand gun. Criminals are not allowed to have them. He has been charged twice with illegal possession. Seems that the justice system let down innocent law abiding people again.
We can waste time arguing over whose side he is on; or we can try to fix the justice system that didn't charge him to the fullest extent of the law. Gave him probation- and then didn't check on him to make sure he was adhering to the law. Charges should also be brought against his daughter for not going to police about her father being in possession of a firearm illegally.
All this demonstrates (regardless of the partisan rush to judgment) is that it remains way too easy to access deadly weapons and that background checks with stringent requirements must be federally implemented and effectively enforced.
It's not just the federal level. The laws are not enforced at ANY level. This was 100% preventable. He obtained the firearms illegally with 4 other drug and firearms charges.
You think he honestly purchased the guns legally?
There is no way that the weapons used in this shooting were acquired legal. Not with those charges
