Rick Wiles: Eating Meatless Burgers Will Lead to "A Race of Soulless Creatures" | Hemant Mehta | Friendly Atheist | Patheos
I heard Impossible Burgers were good. No one told me they were THIS good.

End Times broadcaster and anti-Semite Rick Wiles , last seen explaining how pro-choice people would be eternally aborted by demons in Hell, said on a recent episode of "TruNews" that meatless burgers are part of a Satanic plot to turn people away from God.

His logic — and I use that word very generously — is that a plant-based alternative to meat is subverting God's Master Plan to have us eat His other creations. Therefore, if you're eating these vegetarian patties, you're actually rejecting God.

"God is an environmentalist," Wiles continued. "He takes this very seriously. He created this planet, he created the universe and he's watching these Luciferians destroy this planet, destroy the animal kingdom, destroy the plant kingdom, change human DNA. Why? They want to change human DNA so that you can't be born again. That's where they're going with this, to change the DNA of humans so it will be impossible for a human to be born again. They want to create a race of soulless creatures on this planet. "

As a vegetarian, I was eager to try an "Impossible Burger," but knowing that they're leading to a godless soulless existence? Damn. It's a twofer! I hope they don't charge more for the bonuses.

Apparently, eating your veggies like your mama told you will change your DNA so that you have to go to Hell.

It's science!

Well, it's official. I am going to hell. I ate my veggies "religiously" when I was a kid. I think that's when I lost my soul.

However, I have it on good authority that Lucifer will hand me his throne when I arrive.

Me, too.  I even like a meatless burger now and then.

If you get Lucifer's throne, can I have a spot somewhere nearby?  I want to secure some good, fun company and intelligent conversation for the afterlife.

Do you want a comfortable seat at the bar? I will be making changes when I get there. You can have anything you like, but you can't have my throne

I like a meatless meal a few days a week, but I've never had a veggie burger and too scared to try one. My taste buds are sensitive.

How about a sofa in front of the fireplace, with the bar in easy walking distance?  I hear Hell has an awesome fireplace to warm your toes beside.

I've had several good black bean burgers.  I tried Burger King's Impossible Burger, and it was so-so.  It had lots of toppings, and I felt like those were there to hide the taste a bit.

Done! But I will get you one of my minions to serve you drinks so you don't have to leave the couch

I don't really like black beans but if it's mashed into a burger and then grilled with Worcestershire and my favorite seasoning salt I could be talked into it

Everything tastes fabulous with Worcestershire sauce and seasoning salt.  Throw in a little onion powder and damn near everything becomes filet mignon.

This is too funny. I had no idea that eating veggie burgers changes your DNA. It must be like this episode from "Lost in Space":

I highly recommend smoking a fatty before watching.  Now that I think about it, just watching it made me feel like I just smoked a fatty.  In the interest of clarity, was there a talking carrot, and were there varying film speeds and psychedelic imagery mixed in throughout the clip?  If not, I'm in deep shit.

Your synopsis is correct.  You did not inadvertently and unknowingly smoke a fatty before watching.

Unless I did, too.

Why are we trying to make veggie burgers taste like meat?  jrSmiley_26_smiley_image.gif   Personally, I'd prefer veggie burgers tasting like chocolate cake.

Rick Wiles isn't talking about veggie burgers, though.  Wiles isn't talking about plant based meat substitutes so the author of the seed has engaged in deliberate misinformation.  Wiles is talking about cultured meat protein that is produced in a factory rather than on a farm.  Wiles is really talking about genetic science replacing nature with artificially produced living tissue.  Genetic science is trying to replace and surpass God.

Rick Wiles is arguing from the basis that God gave man dominion over the earth.  What is refreshing is that Wile's argument is that dominion over the earth means man is a caretaker of the earth.  The idea that man's dominion over the earth is to serve as caretaker is not new but it's good to see that interpretation is becoming more mainstream in Christian thinking.

Oh, well, that totally convinces me that Wiles isn't crazy.

This stuff is indefensible, and it's sad to see anybody trying to do so.

I don't care what you think about Rick Wiles.  I'm only pointing out that Hemant Mehta (the author of the seeded article) is spreading misinformation.

Wiles is spreading misinformation.  The only way you can defend his misinformation is by splitting hairs.  That says a lot about how desperate you must be to defend Wiles' misinformation.

I've never heard of Rick Wiles before this seed.  I watched the video and the video doesn't match what Hermant Mehta wrote.

Mehta lied.
