It was a sad day for liberals when Joe Biden announced that those who have received the COVID vaccines would no longer be required to wear the masks that have become a powerful symbol of the Democratic party.
Following the latest revision of guidelines issued by the ever-shifting, thoroughly politicized CDC, Biden announced his new “rule” that only non-vaccinated Americans would be required to wear masks.
Whatever his intent, Biden’s decree essentially ended our long national nightmare of forced masking with it being unenforceable because businesses will not be able to easily determine who has and who has not gotten “the jab,” and unlikely to devote resources to demanding proof.
Sensing their ability to control those who they dislike politically slipping away, there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth from liberals including from MSNBC conspiracy queen Rachel Maddow who struggled to hold back tears in a particularly unhinged monologue.

“I feel like I’m going to have to rewire myself so that when I see someone out in the world who’s not wearing a mask, I don’t instantly think, ‘You are a threat,’” rambled Maddow, “Or you are selfish or you are a COVID denier and you definitely haven’t been vaccinated. I mean, we’re going to have to rewire the way that we look at each other.”
What Maddow really means is that the left’s license to bully people over masks has now been suspended.
The liberal dismay over Biden’s loosening of the mask orders spread to Congress where Rep. Eric Swalwell, who canoodled with a Chinese spy melted down in a foul-mouthed diatribe and then acted like he was a victim.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave the game away by insisting that masks would still be mandatory on the House floor with an inadvertent admission that it has always been about power and not health.
Twitter was awash with celebrities in denial:
Far-left activist and failed pillow salesman David Hogg is also reluctant to let the masks go.
The man who stands to lose the most if masks go away is Dr. Anthony Fauci, so he went on CNN to stake his hopes for prolonging his celebrity status by retreating to the nation’s classrooms.
Wolf Blitzer set the table for Fauci; “You’ve said that elementary school kids, young kids probably won’t get vaccinated until the end of this year. So, should kids still be wearing masks when they go back to school this fall?”
Fauci replied “First of all, the schools should be open, face-to-face, in-person classes in the fall. We absolutely have to do that. And in those situations, if the child, which obviously, elementary school kids are not vaccinated, they should wear a mask.” He said, “And I’d almost guarantee that most of the schools are going to say, you have to wear a mask if you’re in the school and unvaccinated.”
He added, “The only thing that’s changed is that people who are vaccinated, fully vaccinated can now not wear a mask, not only outdoors, but also indoors. What hasn’t changed is what’s going on for the unvaccinated group. And of the unvaccinated group of the elementary school children, nothing has really changed for them. I think that’s the thing we need to clarify.” Said Fauci.
Democrats have never had it as good as when COVID fell into their laps like a winning lottery ticket from the heavens and they aren’t going to easily give it up to return to the reality-based world.

No, I supported washing hands and social distancing as well as the production of masks, PPE’s, ventilators, and the feds sending in field hospitals and staffing them and the development of therapeutics and vaccines. We will lock down never again forever more.
I’d also like to thank governor De Santis for pardoning everyone in his state convicted of any covid lockdown/rules violation since this started.
