‘LET THEM DIE’: Virginia NAACP Member Wishes Death on Parents Who Oppose CRT in Schools
“The argument that ‘critical race theory isn’t in K-12 schools’ is officially dead.” It is important to read the nature of the NEA agenda, which is transparently political. Among the agenda items is to defend the academically discredited 1619 Project; coordinate with the marxist group Black Lives Matter and the Zinn Education Project, named after known communist Howard Zinn; as well as ‘fight back’ against anti-CRT rhetoric.

Yet another outrage in the marxist secular left in their attempt to indoctrinate our kids and others and literally eliminate all opposition to their fascist ways.  The mainstream media, big tech social media and the Union education establishment have created an unholy union of evil in which they can indoctrinate the young with CRT, Zinn, 1619 project and other unpatriotic Anti American ideas.

‘LET THEM DIE’: Virginia NAACP Member Wishes Death on Parents Who Oppose CRT in Schools

by Kyle Becker about 3 hours agoupdated 4 minutes ago

A Virginia NAACP member unleashed a heated diatribe against parents questioning the appropriateness of Critical Race Theory being used to indoctrinate children in America’s schools.

Standing up before a group of community members, she rattled off a list of epithets to describe those who do not want racially divisive rhetoric in

schools.

“So, let us meet and remain steadfast in speaking truth, tearing down double standards, and refuting double talk,” she said. “Let’s not allow any double-downing on lies.”

“Let’s prepare our children for a world they deserve,” she continued. “Let’s deny… people who are anti-education, anti-teacher, anti-equity, anti-history, anti-racial reckoning, anti-opportunities, anti-‘help people’, anti-diversity, anti-platform, anti-science, anti-change agent, anti-social justice, anti-healthcare, anti-worker, anti-LGBTQ plus, anti-children, anti-healthcare, anti-worker, anti-environment, anti-admissions policy change, anti-inclusion, anti-‘live and let live’ people… let them die!” she railed.

According to the Post Millenial, the woman in the video is Michelle Leete, a federal employee who is also Vice President of Training at the Virginia state PTA, Vice President of Communications for the Fairfax County PTA and First Vice President of the Fairfax County NAACP.

The NAACP member’s tirade was met with applause. And of course, parents who believe Critical Race Theory is a political agenda more than an academic discipline have nothing to be concerned about, according to its defenders.

In early July, theNational Education Association, the largest teacher’s union in the United States, approved a plan for Critical Race Theory to be implemented in all classrooms nationwide.

The agenda was adopted after the 100th NEA Assembly, which was held at the Washington Convention Center and was livestreamed as a virtual meeting. Both President Joe Biden and Jill Biden spoke to the educators in a reportedly “mostly empty” hall in Washington.

Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and activist against Critical Race Theory, reported that the agenda item was adopted.

“The nation’s largest teachers union has approved a plan to promote critical race theory in all 50 states and 14,000 local school districts,” Rufo reported. “The argument that ‘critical race theory isn’t in K-12 schools’ is officially dead.”

It is important to read the nature of the NEA agenda, which is transparently political. Among the agenda items is to defend the academically discredited 1619 Project ; coordinate with the marxist group Black Lives Matter and the Zinn Education Project , named after known communist Howard Zinn; as well as ‘fight back’ against anti-CRT rhetoric.

“The union has also approved funding for ‘increasing the implementation’ of CRT in K-12 curricula and for attacking conservative groups who oppose CRT indoctrination,” Rufo continued. “The teachers union has made critical race theory its #1 priority—and want to implement it nationwide.”

“The NEA represents 3 million public school employees in all 50 states,” he continued. “They have a $350 million annual budget and an army of operatives in 14,000 local communities. They have now declared war on parents who oppose critical race theory—and parents must fight back!”

The NEA’s website reinforces the openly political nature of the educators’ agenda.

“Through interactive workshops, sessions, panels and plenaries, attendees have the opportunity to access information, resources, plan, strategize and engage on issues that impact educational opportunities for communities of color, LGBTQ and women,” the NEA website states. “In the process, we: Build local power; Look to the future; Center intersectionality; Build community.”

“In our daily work and through the conference, we fight to bring racial and social justice to all communities,” the teachers union states. “Racial Justice: The systematic fair treatment of people of all races that results in equitable opportunities and outcomes for everyone. Social Justice: A society in which the distribution of resources is equitable, all members are physically and psychologically safe and secure, and individuals are self-determining and interdependent.”

The teacher’s union is going so far as to organize counter-attacks against those who question the educators.

“NEA will research the organizations attacking educators doing anti-racist work and/or use the research already done and put together a list of resources and recommendations for state affiliates, locals, and individual educators to utilize when they are attacked,” the measure reads on NEA’s website .

The NEA President Becky Pringle called pushback against the CRT agenda “ senseless fearmongering ” and argued that teachers must “present to students the good, bad, and ugly of our past so that they can build a better, brighter future.”

Pringle brazenly pushes the nonsensical talking point that parents who oppose CRT are advocating to “ignore racism.” She also accuses states that are passing laws to keep radical activists from politicizing the public school agendas as seeking to ‘rewrite history’ and ‘censor teachers.’

“Today, more than 25 states have introduced or passed laws to censor teachers from speaking about race and racism and deny students the right to a truthful and honest education,” Pringle argues.

“These dangerous attempts to stoke fears and rewrite history not only diminish the injustices experienced by generations of Americans, they prevent educators from challenging our students to achieve a more equitable future.”

Teachers are accountable to school boards, parents, taxpayers and state governments. There are academic and ethical standards that must be abided by, which are not tantamount to ‘censorship.’

Slavery, Jim Crow laws, and the civil rights movement have been taught in intellectually honest fashion for over 50 years in the United States. CRT has nothing to do with teaching such topics in balanced and honest fashion. Critical Race Theory is an offshoot of neomarxist Critical Theory , which is a radical project to weaponize the culture to promote the marxist agenda of destroying capitalism, the nuclear family, and religion.

Indeed, teachers around the country have begun teaching CRT with ‘struggle sessions,’ which shame white children for their skin color and accuse them of being the ‘oppressors’ of the ‘oppressed’ black people. There is no real recognition or explanation of the progress made in the United States, which resulted in a two-term black president, a black female vice president, and multiple black Supreme Court Justices.

Instead, the teachers weaponize past racial injustice by wielding a potent technique called the ‘ pedagogy of discomfort. ‘ It is a teaching tactic consistent with Megan Boler’s method of provoking emotional distress and fostering disorientation among children in order to make them more receptive to radical ideas.

“In most humanities courses, students are challenged to subject their own self-image, beliefs, and values to investigation,” one blogger summarized. “This self-reflection lends itself to emotional resistance in the form of ‘defensive anger,’ ‘fear of change,’ and ‘fears of losing our personal and cultural identities’ (Boler 176). As Stenberg and Winans both observe, emotion has the potential to derail critical inquiry when not treated correctly, particularly in courses that focus on racism, sexism, and other forms of inequality.”

As a critic put it: “I believe it [the pedagogy of discomfort] is not only theorerically wrong, but immoral, because it subtly inverts the moral universe of the classroom. And I believe, takes advantage of the student’s lack of knowledge and experience. Therefore, any educator who uses this pedagogical approach is not involved in education, but in deception and manipulation and indoctrination.”

CRT follows in the vein of such programs as Paul Freire’s controversial “ pedagogy of the oppressed ,” which sets out to create a Manichaeistic narrative of “oppressors” and “oppressed.” It is a reimagining of the Marxist “proletariat” versus the “bourgeoisie” narrative that has been used to usher in social revolutions, and invariably, authoritarian governments that dictate all economic means of production and social relations.

Parents who speak out against such political manipulation and social indoctrination of their children are being targeted by the hard left. The real thing that should “die” in this country is the Marxist indoctrination program of America’s “educators.”

Howard Zinn, “Outed” As A Communist And A Liar

Posted on July 31, 2010 by TMH

Howard Zinn , the prominent “progressive” historian who died early this year, has been “outed” as both a communist and a liar.

HowardZinn.jpg

Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media writes:

The prominent “progressive” historian Howard Zinn, whose books are force-fed to young people on many college campuses, was not only a member of the Moscow-controlled and Soviet-funded Communist Party USA (CPUSA) but lied about it, according to an FBI file released on Friday .

The file, consisting of three sections totaling 423 pages, was made available on the FBI’s website and released in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from this writer.

Zinn taught in the political science department of Boston University for 24 years, from 1964 to 1988, and has been a major influence on the modern-day “progressive” movement that backed Barack Obama for president.

Although Zinn denied being a member of the CPUSA, the FBI file discloses that several reliable informants in the party identified Zinn as a member who attended party meetings as many as five times a week.

What’s more, one of the files reveals that a reliable informant provided a photograph of Zinn teaching a class on “Basic Marxism” at party headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, in 1951. A participant in the class said that Zinn taught that “the basic teaching of Marx and Lenin were sound and should be adhered to by those present…”

Zinn was included on the “Security Index” and “Communist Index” maintained by the FBI. The “Security Index” was more ominous and included individuals who could be detained in the event of a national emergency.

Frank Marshall Davis , the Communist Party USA member who mentored the young Barack Obama , was also on the “security index.”

The files confirm Zinn’s membership in the party from 1948-1953 and one says he was “believed to be a CP member as of October, 1956.” However, he denied membership in the party when interviewed by the FBI in 1953 and 1954 and claimed to be just a “liberal” or “leftist.” He did admit involvement in several CPUSA front organizations, the documents say… In 1961, it says, Zinn “attempted to recruit students to attend 8th World Youth Festival [a communist-front gathering] and was described as pro-Castro in 1962. He publicly protested United States demand for withdrawal of Soviet missiles from Cuba.

After WW2 service and an education on the GI Bill, Zinn taught at the all female, all black Spelman College in Atlanta.

According to one of his pupils, far left author Alice Walker , Zinn shocked an audience from a local white college by declaring: “Well, I stand to the left of Mao Zedong.” – this at the height of the communist takeover of China.

Forced to leave Spelman because of his radicalism, Zinn went to teach at Boston University from 1964 to 1988.

On April 28, 1966, Howard Zinn was a sponsor of the Herbert Aptheker Testimonial Dinner. The dinner was held on the occasion of Communist Party theoretician Herbert Aptheker’s 50th birthday, the publication of his 20th book and the 2nd anniversary of The American Institute for Marxist Studies.

It was held in the Sutton Ballroom, The New York Hilton, Avenue of the Americas, 53rd to 54th Streets, New York City. Most, if not all, of the event’s sponsors came from the Communist Party’s intellectual elite.

As at February 28, 1969, Howard Zinn was listed as a sponsor of the Communist Party front Massachusetts Committee to Abolish the House Un-American Activities Committee .

By the 1980s, Zinn had apparently switched his allegiance to another Marxist group.

At the Boston Democratic Socialists of America Socialist School, Fall 1989, Howard Zinn taught the “History of Socialism.”

By the mid 1990s, Zinn was mixing with ACORN , Democratic Socialists of America and the Communist Party breakaway group, Committees of Correspondence .

With these people, Zinn was a founder of the radical New Party – later made famous by one of its most successful members, Barack Obama .

On September 20, 2001, 500 people gathered at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City to remember the life of Democratic Socialists of America member Richard Cloward – originator of the infamous Cloward-Piven strategy, since utilized by sections of the US left to deliberately wreck the American economy.

Speakers at the event included Cloward’s widow Frances Fox Piven , Barbara Ehrenreich , Cornel West (later a member of Obama’s Black Advisory Council), Gus Newport – (all members of Democratic Socialists of America), New Party founder Joel Rogers , future Obama supporter and ACORN defender Miles Rapoport and Howard Zinn.

In January 2002, a group of San Francisco leftists, mainly involved with Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM) or Committees of Correspondence, and including future Obama “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones , founded a national anti-Iraq War newspaper – War Times .

Endorsers of the project included Howard Zinn.

In 2004, Howard Zinn was one of 100 “prominent Americans” who signed an October 26 statement circulated by 911Truth.org calling on the US Government to investigate 9/11 as a possible “inside job.”

A decade ago, Loudon first made major headlines by publishing arguments for why he thought President-elect Barack Obama was secretly a communist. Though the evidence given against Obama was described by The Washington Post as “ranging from the absurd to the merely questionable,” that didn’t stop Loudon’s conspiracy theory from traveling like clockwork through the circuit of online message boards and Facebook groups until being picked up as a common slur against the president by the far-right radio show circuit. Being repeated by the likes of Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh, it eventually gained enough traction to begin getting presented as fact on places like Fox News to millions of Americans.

...

According to entries from his blog [https://www.trevorloudon.com/2006/02/trevor-loudon-replies-to-russel-norman/], he had previously spent at least six years studying as a student of the “Zenith Applied Philosophy.” This philosophy was created by combining the teachings of Scientology, aspects of Eastern mysticism and the philosophy of the right-wing John Birch Society.

The core idea behind the philosophy is that some people are born on “higher dimensional wavelengths,” and if those people pay the Zenith Applied Philosophy’s founder John Dalhoff between $860 to $1,900, he will give them a personality test. If someone passes this test, they could attend classes in which Dalhoff would preach about his supernatural powers (such as his ability to stop earthquakes) and warn about dangers of “communist space aliens” who secretly rule the world through their human disguise as Jewish bankers and who are out to get Dalhoff and his followers.

Loudon has communist on the brain, but apparently nothing much else up there. Sorry, but Loudon is 51 cards short of a full deck.

Good move, it's impossible to. When the defense is "well,  you can't prove, he was a card carrying  communist" than it's not much of a defense. It show's how far gone our education system is that a zealot like Zinn can be so influential, because of the defense that he wasn't a "real communist." There's no way  a similarly situated Nazi sympathizer who enthusiastically joins Nazi front groups could attain such an influential position in our schools. Imagine trying this argument :"you can trust his history of the US to influence kids, he only works for Neo-NAzi's groups and parrots their line, he's never really paid dues"

Yet we have a propagandist for an ideology that's slaughtered tens of millions of innocent people who exercised  wholly disproportionate on our educational system.

Out of curiosity I typed "was howard zinn a communist?" into a Bing search.  I was not surprised that a lot of articles showed claiming that , yes, Howard Zinn was a communist. Neither was I surprised that all of them were from right wing web sites. I thought I saw one that was not, because it had the somewhat neutral name KeyWiki, but a quick look at the page revealed it to be a site dedicated to exposing "left wing corruption" , and Key Wiki is fronted by, well, Trevor Loudon. I saw 25 or 30 sites that claim Howard Zinn was a communist, but none of them were what I would call objective sites. Well one, the History News Network had an article saying Zinn was a communist, and the History News Network is for the most part an objective site featuring the opinions of history professors. In this particular case though the author was a conservative professor with an obvious ax to grind.

I have a great deal of skepticism about questions that are answered in the affirmative on internet pages that are one after the other far right websites.

Howard Zinn was a self admitted leftist and socialist. The guy in the HNN article complained that Zinn wrote about immigrant ditch diggers and union organizers in his famous book, but didnt give any background to the lives of Alexander Hamilton , John Jacob Astor, or Louis B. Mayer (presumably Zinn neglected them because they were capitalists.)

Don't "leftists" get to write US history books if they want to?

Those descriptives no longer carry the weight to spread fear hence the attachment of 'radical' to drive the point home and even that is slowly being dropped to 'communist'. I fully expect that KeyWiki will classify Liz Cheney as a communist by the end of the year.

Slavery, Jim Crow laws, and the civil rights movement have been taught in intellectually honest fashion for over 50 years in the United States.

This is not true at all, no one learns the horrors of slavery, if they learn about it at all -- Some states explicitly call for teaching about aspects of slavery throughout a student’s K-12 education, while others refer to it in passing or not at all.

Critical Theory , which is a radical project to weaponize the culture to promote the marxist agenda of destroying capitalism, the nuclear family, and religion.

This is not true at all. A tradition theory tries to explain and understand things. A critical theory critiques things with the intention of rooting out oppression so as to move moral arc towards justice. Critical Theory is an anathema for conservatives because conservatives want to maintain the status quo, so any examination is a not good. Feminism is a critical theory which conservatives used to hyper-ventilate about. It's purpose was simply to achieve equality for women, which they oppose.

Indeed, teachers around the country have begun teaching CRT with ‘struggle sessions,’ which shame white children for their skin color and accuse them of being the ‘oppressors’ of the ‘oppressed’ black people.

This is over-the-top, 'struggle sessions' were a torture mechanism used by the Chinese to shame people. The only people referring to discussions of CRT as 'struggle sessions' are conservatives hyper-ventilaring about the latest thing they were instructed to hyper-ventilate about.

There is no real recognition or explanation of the progress made in the United States, which resulted in a two-term black president, a black female vice president, and multiple black Supreme Court Justices.

This is also false. Everyone acknowledges that the Civil War and the 1965 Civil Rights & Voting Rights Acts moved us massively towards justice. It is simply still the case that the outcomes for people of color are still poor when compared to whites. Why is it so awful to try and discover why?

CRT at its base is an evil ideology using methods that trample upon the self worth of its victims while dividing the country.

'..an evil ideology ... methods that trample ... dividing the country. '

Some might contend that this aptly sums your participation here. But what do I know?

Seems Other Lives Don't Matter to her.  " let them die!” she railed."  referring to those who disagree with her while being a big Black Lives Matter supporter.

Thanks for a post on the topic of the seeded article.  You are right.  The hypocrisy and double standards of her positions in organizations and her words spoken are clear to objective observers. I wish BLM thought the lives of shooting victims in Chicago matter.  Clearly the lives of CRT critics don’t matter to her no matter their race.

That is a dishonest take on what she actually said.

I agree. Racism, sexism and homophobia can die...

Intolerance and ignorance and hatred should die!

Those taking personal offense at that have issues.

'"...let them die!” she railed.'

Yet PM Johnson makes a statement identical in its material import [let the bodies pile high], and he is a hero for Western Capitalism. Perhaps it matters to no one if anyone other than themselves and/or their 'pod' and/or their ideologically reflection lives or dies. Behold what we become.

"Yet another outrage in the marxist secular left in their attempt to indoctrinate our kids and others and literally eliminate all opposition to their fascist ways"

The 'personal content' with which you introduce Becker's screed may be the most vacuous and ignorant posted in Newstalkers' existence. I say so since to know anything about Marxism is to understand that it is a system of political economy in which the means of production and distribution of goods and services are owned and operated not privately but socially.

Since the article title line your words introduce refers to Critical Race Theory, one who knows nothing of Marxism might be forgiven for assuming that Marxism is somehow connected with race. That returns to the point that to know anything about Marxism is to understand it as a system of political economy.

It is also noteworthy that like its parent, post-modernity, 'critical race theory' and racialist theorists evidence -- contrary to their best intention -- unintentionally serve reactionary ends. This is why you yourself, outstanding reactionary that you are, have more in common with racialist theorists than Marxists.

To be Marxist is to stand in a two-sided fight against both the bourgeoisie [the 1% which is the GOP base], and the petty-bourgeoisie [the Next 9% which is the Democratic Party base].

Forgive those who actually do have measurable understanding of Marxism for concluding that you reside in that part of the population which understands nothing of Marxism.

Apparently, that also matters more than having a clue of what one says. I note that Becker repeats the Black Lives Matter 'Marxist' nonsense. Black Lives Matter is a petty-bourgeoisie tendency. I'm guessing that you are not in the top 1%; that's another trait you share with Black Lives Matter.
