Greg Abbott: Biden 'knowingly importing COVID-19 at extreme rates' via infected illegals
By: Bethany Blankley

I’ve been saying this here and now it’s being openly said by high elected officials who are now engaging the federal government and the justice department in a series of court cases that could lead to a constitutional crisis or even the impeachment of the homeland security Secretary and President Biden who is knowingly admitting tons of covid positive illegal aliens in order to perpetuate the crisis and engage in controls that will risk the existence and future of our constitutional republic. Governor Abbott needs to pursue this to the fullest extent.

Greg Abbott: Biden 'knowingly importing COVID-19 at extreme rates' via infected illegals
Texas governor warns of 'constitutional crisis' amid escalating conflict with U.S. AG Merrick Garland over feds' release of unauthorized, COVID-positive migrants into general population.
A legal battle and war of words between Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and the federal government over COVID-positive migrants being released into Texas communities escalated over the weekend.
The U.S. Department of Justice sued the state of Texas Friday over an executive order Abbott issued restricting the transport of infected immigrants who entered the country illegally being released into the general population.
"The Biden Administration is knowingly admitting hundreds of thousands of unauthorized migrants, many of whom the federal government knows full well have COVID-19," Abbott said in response to the lawsuit.
"While the Biden Administration is openly pondering looming shutdowns and mandates on U.S. citizens to control the spread of COVID-19, at the same time the Administration is knowingly worsening the problem by importing COVID-19 at extreme rates," the governor said.
The lawsuit was filed by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland a day after he sent a letter to Abbott threatening to take legal action if the Texas governor didn't rescind his "dangerous and unlawful" order.
"The Biden Administration has created a constitutional crisis between the federal government and the State of Texas," Abbott replied. "This stems from the Biden Administration's refusal to enforce immigration laws and allow illegal immigrants with COVID-19 to enter our country. President Biden has a duty and a responsibility to protect and uphold our nation's sovereignty, yet he has long-since abdicated his authority to do so.
"As the Governor of Texas, I have a responsibility to protect the people of Texas — a responsibility that grows more urgent by the day while the Biden Administration sits on the sidelines. I have the authority, and duty, under the constitutions of the United States and of Texas to protect Texans and our nation. I also have the authority under long-established emergency response laws to control the movement of people to better contain the spread of a disaster, such as those known to have COVID-19. My duty remains to the people of Texas, and I have no intention of abdicating that."
The Biden administration should "stop admitting migrants who are not authorized by Congress to be admitted," Abbott said. "That would substantially reduce the importation of COVID-19 while also fulfilling the federal government's role to faithfully execute the laws of the United States."
Merrick is now asking a federal judge to block Abbott's order, arguing, "In our constitutional system, a State has no right to regulate the federal government's operations," adding "this restriction on the transportation of noncitizens would severely disrupt federal immigration operations."
"It is clear that the Biden Administration fundamentally misunderstands what is truly happening at the Texas-Mexico border," Abbott said in response. "It would be of some solace if the federal government were conducting appropriate COVID-19 testing and other mitigation strategies, but to the contrary, we hear too many reports of the federal government recklessly failing to do so and instead admitting into the United States — and Texas — migrants from over 150 countries, many of whom are testing positive for COVID-19.
"In short, the Biden Administration is jeopardizing the health and safety of Texans on a daily basis by refusing to follow the law. And it's not just Texans; these irresponsible policies and actions by the Biden Administration are endangering the lives of many Americans as well as the unlawful immigrants themselves."
The lawsuit was filed after bipartisan members of Congress called on Biden to halt the administration's open border policies, led by Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar, whose district includes border communities. It also comes after the border city of Laredo sued the Biden administration in July, hoping to halt its policy of transferring into the city several hundred people a day who have illegally entered the U.S. through the Texas Border Patrol's Rio Grande Valley and Del Rio sectors.

There have been occasions and periods when Texas has had the highest rate of covid infection in America, and that was when Trump was still president. Abbott has been lax about protecting the people of Texas from the beginning. He had their restaurants open when most of the rest of the nation did not. He removed mask requirements long before other states did.
A lot of people think he is quite dumb too.
Yet he is Governor and Texas is doing quite well. I wonder if the same can be said for California, or Illinois, or New York, or New Jersey.
Red states are doing better and have been since 2017. The ones that had few or no lockdowns are doing better now as well. I’m in a blue state but our local area is red and locally we pretty much did what Florida did. The state was going to crack down on us last fall when we got hit with our first wave of it but before they could the coastal urban areas got the 2nd wave so they could not. Our unemployment rate is closer to Florida and Texas than the rest of California.
I have great empathy for the "red" areas of "blue" states. They try to be rational, independent and responsible, but the other areas drag them down.
I'm off now. The wife and kids are FINALLY ready to head to TN to visit with my daughter and her family. Hopefully, by the time I get back on-line, some sanity will have visited DC and the Democrats. Yeah I know, 'Who am I kidding'?
Be well and stay safe.
Have a great trip! I was born in Tennessee. My parents won’t to college in Tennessee, met there and got married and I was born before they settled in my moms home town here when I was an infant. I got to go back as an adult and found it to be a beautiful state. I really liked Nashville. It and Lincoln, Ne. Where I went to college are two places I’d like to live in or near if I didn’t live here. I’m sure there are red areas of places like Illinois and New York as well as Oregon and Washington that are having the same problems we have here in Ca.
Melugin has done a very good job reporting on Biden's border crisis.
Yes, he has. I’ve been both impressed with his reporting and angered by what he’s been reporting on because of Biden.
A lot of people think that other people are even dumber, because those dumbasses were photographed maskless - Pelosi, Murphy, Lightfoot, Newsom, Whitmer, Cuomo, Bowser ... to name just a few.
The democrat imperial condescending arrogance of “rules for thee but not for me” pervades their thought process.
Covid positive illegal aliens in Texas? Never happen, well except when it does.... Screw the American citizens and legal resident aliens.
And as many know it's not just "Northern Triangle" illegals coming.
If Biden and his entourage of merry progressive Marxists don't want to listen to the average citizens of America, maybe they'll listen to a Democrat Congressman form the area? Hell no, they ignore him too. He's not on the same sheet of flood America with illegal aliens music that the administration is playing.
I wonder what the Biden administration response would be if the CITIZENS of Texas in the Rio Grande Valley area stood up and protested by BLOCKING ALL ROADS into their towns and cities refusing access to all buses carrying illegals from the border? Would the Federal Government demand Texas Governor Abbott call out the National Guard to clear the roads?
I got ripped by some others here earlier for maintaining that Biden was deliberately importing covid into the USA through that border and resettling it in communities across the country and here’s the proof.
Texas Rep. Chip Roy calls for impeachment of President Biden, DHS Secretary Mayorkas
Customs and Border Patrol have encountered more than 1 million migrants so far this fiscal year
Texas Rep. Chip Roy is calling for the impeachment of both President Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over their response to the flow of illegal immigrants across the southern border over the past six months.
"Over the past several months, President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas have blatantly and consistently refused to do their constitutional duty to take care that the immigration laws be faithfully executed, as required by Article II, endangering countless American and foreign lives in the process," Roy told Fox News Tuesday.
After conservative radio host Jesse Kelly described the border crisis as "more impeachable than Watergate" Monday, Roy retweeted the message and wrote "Co-sponsor. #ImpeachBiden #ImpeachMayorkas."
Then on Tuesday, he retweeted Fox News’ Bill Melugin’s reporting on Border Patrol buses releasing hundreds of migrants in McAllen, Texas.
BIDEN ADMINISTRATION RESUMES FAST-TRACK DEPORTATION FLIGHTS FOR MIGRANTS DENIED ASYLUM
"The Border is in total chaos," Roy wrote. "#ImpeachBiden #ImpeachMayorkas #Title42 #BidenBorderCrisis."
Title 42 refers to a Trump-era health rule that allows for the expulsion of arriving migrants due to coronavirus concerns that the Biden administration has been accused of flouting. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention extended the policy Tuesday, but many migrants are still being released from custody into the U.S.
Melugin reported that buses and vans were pulling into McAllen at regular intervals, releasing hundreds of migrants and leaving Border Patrol "overwhelmed."
Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene had a similar response Monday, noting that the surge was continuing amid Democrats’ domestic calls for renewed coronavirus restrictions.
BORDER PATROL UNION OFFICIAL WARNS COVID-POSITIVE MIGRANTS BEING RELEASED INTO US ‘DAY IN, DAY OUT’
"Biden and Harris have created a national security crisis & they are making you pay for it, while telling Americans they have to mask up, vaccinate, and prepare to lockdown again," she tweeted.
Over the weekend, Melugin shared drone footage showing hundreds of migrants in Border Patrol custody under the Anzalduas Bridge in Mission, Texas, near a common crossing of the Rio Grande...
