We The People: Securing Liberty in a Time of Tyranny
We must nourish our souls and inspire our children with the story of America, the story of God’s people, and the story of liberty as it has appeared throughout human history. When “We the People” take responsibility for our freedom — when we cultivate a garden of liberty, educate our children, worship God, and live according to the virtues that freedom requires — tyrants will have no power over us. We the People

We love the red, white, and blue! 🇺🇸.  God bless America, home of the brave, land of the free.  For now. Our American nation is an exceptional country.  It is blessed by God and founded by His divine Providence.  Our founders recognized him as the creator and the supreme judge of the universe whom we appealed to in the Declaration of Independence and prayer.  He is the source of our inalienable human rights.  We were given a constitutional republic with we the people in charge and government as our public servants. Our founders created an awesome form of government and adapted an awesome economic model.  They we’re great people worthy of honor and praise and being remembered with monuments and statues and buildings named for them.  Our nations Independence Day celebrates the beginning of our nation they created on July 4, 1776.  Those that followed the founders continued on building a more perfect Union.  That Union since Jan 20, has been in clear and present danger as those in power now seek to destroy all that came before us with national poison such as CRT and the 1619 project and double standards in justice.  We must defend the 1776 America we hold dear come what may and it begins in the home, at church, and at the local level.

The story of America is unique in human history. Looking at the millennia of civilization, we see people exchanging one form of oppression with another. Not long ago, slavery and oppression were the universal principle of government. Around the world, power was held by the strongest, concentrated in the elite.

To be sure, there were times that people revolted against oppression, but in all these cases the people traded one tyrant for another in the hopes of finding a more just master. Look at the change from the Senate to Caesar, Czar to Lenin, Lenin to Stalin, King Louis XVI to Napoleon, the Qing Dynasty to Communist China, Yellow Emperor to Red Dictator, Wilhelm II to the Weimar Republic, and the Weimar Republic to Adolf Hitler. In all these instances, people rejected one ruler and fell into the hands of another.

Something new and different happened in America in 1776. Instead of replacing a tyrannical king with another overlord, the Founding Fathers acted on the bold proposition that the American people can govern themselves. That is what Thomas Jefferson meant when he wrote “We the People,” and that is what the world understood when the Founders presented the Declaration of Independence on the world stage.

Instead of replacing the king with another all-powerful head of state, the American people accepted responsibility for their own freedom. “We the People” chose to “secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.” That is no small matter. We are not given the task to “try” to be free or to “hope” to be free. As Americans, “We the People” must “secure” liberty for ourselves and for future generations.

In recent years, we have seen threats to liberty increase and the very foundation of our nation is at risk. The tyranny we have fought to keep at bay for more than two centuries is encroaching through an ever-growing bureaucracy and government overreach under the guise of taking care of us. Just as the foundation of our liberty is within each human heart, the response to these new threats begins in the heart of every American.

If “We the People” wish to remain free and truly secure the blessings of liberty for our children and grandchildren, we must once again pursue the simple solutions on which the Founders relied. These solutions are simple, but they are not easy.  They require dedication, commitment, and consistency, but most of all they require a belief that they will work—that these simple solutions will, in fact, solve our complex problems and not only protect liberty but secure it for generations to come.

What are these liberty-preserving solutions? We know that liberty begins in the home and family. Strong, patriotic families will raise strong children who can resist the temptations of tyranny and accept the responsibility of liberty. The most important work we can do to preserve our nation is within our own home with our own family. The values we give our children through our daily life will determine the future of the republic.

One of the most important lessons we can teach our children is who we are. In a time when Marxist radicals are trying everything to undermine and distort the study of history, knowing our heritage has never been more important. In order to understand our liberty, we must know our history and understand that the foundation of our government is the protection of our God-given rights. We are not classes and identities but individuals who belong to the freest nation on Earth, and it is up to us to preserve that freedom.

More than anything, we know that stories touch the heart and pierce the soul like no other medium.

When we are tempted to fear and despair, we must all remember that the Good, the True, and the Beautiful remain at the heart of true freedom.

No matter the administration in power, these eternal principles do not change. These are the principles on which the Founding Fathers set our great nation, and they are the principles through which we will secure liberty if we have the courage to accept our responsibility.

The 'people' may decide who is their God, but God decides who is Her people. I doubt that She is enamored by Kimberly's hubris.

God allows anyone, anywhere, anytime to be a person of His.  God blesses nations that follow after Him.  That is why from our founding up to now, America has been a blessed nation.

Tell it to Central American nations or African Nations who have a higher percentage of followers.

Oh really ?

Congressional debate focused not on whether it was a good idea to abolish the trade but on what should become of any Africans imported illegally after the ban took effect. The final bill provided that smuggled slaves would be sold in accordance with the laws of the state or territory in which they arrived. It underscored, in other words, that slaves (even illegal ones) were property. Had the bill not done so, threatened one Georgia congressman, the result might have been “resistance to the authority of the Government,” even civil war. Although the debate over the slave trade did not fall along  strictly sectional (or regional) lines, sectional tensions never lay far beneath the surface in this era of heated partisan conflict.

In anticipation of the higher prices that their human property would fetch once the law took effect, traders temporarily withheld their slaves from the market in the months after the law’s passage. During the last four months of 1807 alone, sixteen thousand African slaves arrived at Gadsden Wharf in Charleston, where they were detained by merchants eager to wait out the January 1 deadline. Although many of these slaves—hundreds, if not thousands—died in the cramped, disease-ridden holding pens before they could be sold, merchants calculated that the increased value of those who survived until the ban took effect would outweigh the losses.

Not that January 1, 1808, brought an end to the international slave trade; a brisk— and profitable—illegal trade took over. As Justice Joseph Story noted in 1819, the slave trade “is still carried on with all the implacable ferocity and insatiable rapacity of former times. Avarice has grown more subtle in its evasions; and watches and seizes its prey with an appetite quickened rather than suppressed by its guilty vigils.” In 1819, Congress passed a law authorizing the president to use force to intercept slave ships along the African coast, but the small American navy could not halt the illicit trade in human beings."

A pastor I knew like to always use the quote, "The lord helps those who help themselves". He also said "Praying is not substitution for doing".

A lot of what is wrong with Central American and African Nations stems from too much praying; and not enough doing.

They only recently could say that.  We have been a Christian nation since day one and combined it with our Declaration of Independence and constitution to safeguard all of it.  Many here in America are walking away from our heritage at our peril.

This is not a seed about slavery.  It’s about the people of today and protecting our evolving more perfect Union and preserving our at risk existing rights, freedom, and liberty.

That Union since Jan 20, has been in clear and present danger as those in power now seek to destroy all that came before us with national poison such as CRT and the 1619 project and double standards in justice.

Just so we're clear..."people thinking differently than you do" does NOT....in any way... represent a "clear and present danger" to the United States.  It is, in fact, both why and how we exist in the first place.

For further clarification..."people thinking batshit foolishness like the 1619 Project" is included in this "thinking differently than you do" umbrella and does NOT....in any way...represent a danger to the United States.

Now...I realize that crazy housewives like Kim Fletcher like to imagine all sorts of threats that don't really exist.  My personal, unscientific theory is that their maternal instincts/hormones drive them to protect their kids, but their lives are already so sheltered there aren't any actual dangers around.  So they set off on a quest to joust windmills.

I certainly agree with your main premise in that folks who simply think differently are not a clear and present danger per se.

However, when they take that "different thinking" and try to shove it down other people throats that are not of like mind, the worm turns and turns hard.

That indeed is the difference here.  It’s the attempt at cram down that is the clear and present danger.  The President today is a prime example of clear and present danger via cram down.

The President today is a prime example of clear and present danger via cram down.

Y'know how that hysterical subset of liberals has spent the last 5 years making complete idiots of themselves by wailing hysterically every time Trump does anything?  You know....the ones who think he commits a crime against humanity by waking up every morning, or that he proves he's a racist because he doesn't drink black coffee?  Or scream about how he was somehow responsible for a Saudi journalist being dismembered on Saudi soil, like the Saudis didn't behead hundreds of people while Obama was in office?  My personal favorites are the fuckwits who talk about him being responsible for "600,000 Covid deaths"...like there would magically have been zero covid deaths in the US if Hillary had been president....because nobody in any other countries died or anything...  Seriously, these people are fucking imbeciles.

Don't be like that.

It's OK to let those people completely dominate the market on pathetic stupidity.

Biden isn't going to make you believe anything.  Guess what....he's not going to change anybody else's mind, either.

If every school in America started teaching CRT this school year, it would not move the needle one iota.  We are talking about the same institutions that can't teach anything else, why on earth do we think they'll somehow be good at this??  American public schools spend 12 years trying to teach people to read and write, and at the end of those 12 years, half of us don't know the difference between "lose" and "loose".

It's going to be fine.  The windmills are not actually dangerous.
