More big government dictating to locals and to businesses stupid policy over our valid objections. It was always a blatantly stupid and dumb idea to allow biological men/males into bathrooms and shower rooms designated for women/girls.  It was a get in free card for perverts and offenders to be able to be predators where females should feel totally safe. All we can say is:  WE TOLD YOU SO! And it’s no wonder that Antifa came to defend one of their own when the women rightfully protested this.  God made us make and female and we should leave well enough alone.

A trans-identified man who exposed his genitals to women and girls at Wi Spa in Los Angeles has been charged with five counts of indecent exposure for that incident after being allowed to enter the women's-only area despite being a registered sex offender.

More than two months after a video of a woman confronting employees at Wi Spa for allowing the naked man to walk into the women's only section went viral, The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Darren Merager of Riverside County was “charged Monday with five counts of indecent exposure” and an arrest warrant has been issued in his name.

The publication noted that “Merager has been a registered sex offender since 2006, as a result of convictions for indecent exposure in 2002 and 2003, according to the LAPD.”

The Instagram video of the woman's complaint has amassed over 188,300 views since June 24. “It’s OK for a man to go into the women’s section, show his penis around the other women, young little girls underage, your spa, Wi Spa, condoned that. Is that what you’re saying?” she asked, demanding a response.

When the employee mentioned the man’s “sexual orientation,” the woman asked, “What sexual orientation? I see a d***. It lets me know he’s a man.” She repeatedly told the employee that “he’s not a female.”

In December 2018, Merager was arrested for indecent exposure after he “exposed himself to women and children in the women’s locker room of West Hollywood Park.” The New York Post obtained a copy of an internal flyer sent to law enforcement agencies in southern California suggesting that Merager identifies as a woman for predatory purposes.

“Merager claims to identify as female so he can access women’s locker rooms and showers,” the flyer read. Merager has pleaded not guilty to all six counts of indecent exposure filed in response to the West Hollywood incident and is due back in court on Sept. 8.

In an interview with The New York Post, Merager denied all allegations of wrongdoing, asserting that “Everything about the Wi Spa was a bunch of garbage and lies.” According to Merager, “She never saw me naked. I was underwater with water all the way up to my chest.”

Additionally, Merager characterized the incident at Wi Spa as part of a “pattern of abuse” against trans-identified people who use sex-segregated spaces that correspond with their gender identity instead of their biological sex. He further argued that “people simply claim indecent exposure and you’re arrested.”

The registered sex offender also called for “an indecent exposure exemption” for trans-identified people who use spaces where they plan to be completely nude.

Merager indicated to the Post that he had been in contact with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office after becoming aware of the warrant and planned to surrender to authorities. In addition to facing multiple charges for indecent exposure over the years, Merager was arrested for the 2012 theft of $3.2 million worth of art, jewelry, wine and a car from the home of billionaire investor Jeffrey Gundlach. In early 2014, he was sentenced to four years in prison for committing the crime.

After the exchange between a woman expressing outrage at Merager’s presence in the women’s section of Wi Spa and one of the business’ employees went viral, another woman came forward to discuss a similar experience she had there more than a year earlier. She alleged that a “person with a penis and a beard got into the hot tub naked with my 6 year old daughter on Jan. 7th 2020.”

The woman was one of several people who attended a protest outside the Wi Spa that turned violent when the far-left militant group Antifa showed up to harass and assault people. She left the protest after the violence broke out and elaborated on the encounter in a YouTube video .

“The person with the penis sat down on the edge of the hot tub … with his genitals fully on display,” she recalled. “Me and the other women in the hot tub kind of looked each other in the eye and we just kind of made this face like ‘what the heck?’”

The woman explained that she was trying to block her daughter “from seeing the penis on the person with the five-o-clock shadow who was not trying to look like a woman at all.” She maintained that other women who requested that the man cover up said that he refused. Upon learning of what happened, Wi Spa staff apologized to the woman and gave her two free passes to the spa.

California is one of 17 states that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in public accommodations. The incidents at Wi Spa and the subsequent reporting about Merager’s status as a sex offender come as congressional Democrats are working to pass the Equality Act, which would implement such protections for trans-identified individuals at the national level.

The Equality Act states that “an individual shall not be denied access to a shared facility, including a restroom, a locker room, and a dressing room, that is in accordance with the individual’s gender identity.” The legislation has passed the U.S. House of Representatives in both 2019 and 2021 but has stalled both times due to opposition in the Senate.

Many of us pointed out the risk of this very thing happening with those ridiculous immoral rules 17 states including mine have adopted and they wouldn’t listen.  When the story first broke we were called bigots for siding with the real women there.  A “we told you so” is fitting here.

No, Greg, he should be treated to a mechanics version of a sex change.

Hook jumper cables to his head and his balls and rev the engine.

Make sure he is restrained and everyone else has government issued Bose helicopter headphones.

Be sure to video it.

As far as the women feigning offense, they have seen their old mans, brothers and sons penises enough times

and have never apparently been permanently injured,

but Merager?  No, he's a perv and a liar.

Lock him up!

Not the issue for us to decide.  There is no reason why in a designated female area to change clothing or to be naked in a hot tub, sauna, or shower that a biological man should ever be present much less naked.  It’s a privacy/modesty issue and there are female minors present as well as younger women who chose to keep their virginity into adulthood for whatever reason they have who don’t need to be and should not be exposed to this.

From a secular perspective:

Sex offending suspect claims transgender harassment in Wi Spa case

Andy Ngo

In June, a group of women complained that a person who identified as female exposed their penis at the Wi Spa in Los Angeles. The incident led to months of sometimes violent protests, with media outlets declaring it an example of bias against the transgendered, or even that it didn’t happen. Slate said it was a “transphobic hoax.”

But on Monday, charges of indecent exposure were discreetly filed against a serial sex offender for the Wi Spa incident, following an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Sources with knowledge of the case but not authorized to speak publicly say four women and a minor girl came forward to allege that Darren Agee Merager was partially erect in the women’s section of Wi Spa. Besides being a suspect in this case, Merager is facing multiple felony charges of indecent exposure over a separate incident in Los Angeles.

Merager, who spoke exclusively to The Post, denies the allegations and says that she is actually the victim of transphobic harassment.

On June 23, several women confronted staff at the Wi Spa in Los Angeles’ Koreatown over accusations that a person exposed male genitalia in the women’s section. Video of the interaction was posted the following day on Instagram by a woman using the name “Cubana Angel.”

“It’s okay for a man to go into the women’s section, show his penis around the other women, young little girls — underage — in your spa?” she asked the staff. “He’s a man! He is a man!” The three-and-a-half-minute video was reposted across social media and promptly went viral.

“Cubana Angel” spoke at a press conference on July 7 in Pasadena next to her attorney. “As I was walking, I noticed something that was really disturbing, something that caused me to feel that I was transported into the men’s locker room,” the woman said.

She said some women and girls were uncomfortable and began putting their robes back on. She complained to staff, where the video was recorded, but they legally could not do anything because of California law. “We as women have rights to be safe in public spaces and they are being violated by men,” she said.

Both “Cubana Angel” and her attorney, Marc Little, declined to comment for the story.

The video was followed by weeks of sometimes violent face-offs between right-wing and Evangelical Christian protesters at the Wi Spa, and Antifa and far-left counter-protesters. On July 3, after police formed a line to separate the two groups, 40 people were arrested.

The LAPD so far have confirmed few details about the Wi Spa incident. Inquiries sent to the department were responded with statements saying the investigation is “ongoing.”

Then, this week, a warrant was issued in Los Angeles County for the arrest of 52-year-old Darren Merager, of Riverside, Calif., based on five felony counts of indecent exposure in connection with the Wi Spa incident. As of publication, Merager has not been arrested.

“Everything about the Wi Spa was a bunch of garbage and lies,” Merager said in an interview. She says she is legally female in California and was in a jacuzzi in the women’s section when she was accosted by “Cubana Angel.”

“She never saw me naked. I was underwater with water all the way up to my chest.” Merager denies ever being erect or around children at the spa. She says she is actually the victim of sexual harassment by transphobic women at the Wi Spa.

Law-enforcement sources revealed that Merager is a tier-one registered sex offender with two prior convictions of indecent exposure stemming from incidents in 2002 and 2003 in California. She declined to comment on the convictions. In 2008, she was convicted for failing to register as a sex offender.

A law passed by California Democrats that went into effect this year replaced the state’s lifetime registration requirement to a tiered system. The law allows lower-tiered sex offenders to petition to be removed from the list. However, Merager is not eligible due to ongoing criminal charges. She also has a long criminal history in California that includes nearly a dozen felony convictions for crimes ranging from sex offenses to burglary and escape.

AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes

In addition to Merager’s new felony charges of indecent exposure, she is also facing six felony counts of indecent exposure over a separate locker room incident in December 2018. Los Angeles County prosecutors accuse Merager of indecent exposure to women and children in a changing area at a swimming pool in West Hollywood Park.

“Merager claims to identify as female so he can access women’s locker rooms and showers,” reads an internal flyer by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department that was sent to law enforcement departments in southern California in late 2018. Merager has pleaded not guilty to all six counts and her next court date for the incident is on Sept. 8. Merager told law enforcement she’s transient but bail was set at $150,000 in early 2019, which was paid.

Merager says her open cases involving accusations of indecent exposure show a “pattern of abuse” from a state and society that punishes transgender people. “You allow [trans women] to go in there [women’s spaces] and then people simply claim indecent exposure and you’re arrested,” she says.

Merager says she is speaking with progressive California lawmakers, like state senator Scott Wiener, in the hope that they change state law to better protect trans people.

“If you go into an area where you’re expected to be nude, there has to be an indecent exposure exemption,” she says. Merager says she may file complaints or lawsuits for the discrimination she says she has been made to suffer by law enforcement and women in the Wi Spa. She says she has been in contact with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office since learning of the warrant and plans to turn herself in.
