It is so refreshing to be with likeminded individuals today. I’m not always in the presence of so many people who agree with what we live by on a daily basis, but that is why I’m here,” she said.

“God wants to be involved in the affairs of government. God cares about the affairs of man and government and there are some unjust things that are taking place that God wants to make right. He holds the king’s heart in his hand and he directs it whichever way he desires. But He’s going to use His church. He’s going to use His children to infiltrate these people because we understand, the book of Isaiah says arise and shine for the glory of the Lord is upon you. It said that darkness will cover the Earth and deep darkness the people. How many of you are seeing that right now?” she asked while lamenting how people are being deceived and don’t even know it.

“You don’t even know that you’re believing a lie," she continued. "People are trading the truth for a lie. I serve in the United States House of Representatives, and I’ve been on the House floor arguing that a boy is not a girl. I have these conversations with adults.” 

Christians, she said, need to be involved in government because “there are important conversations being had at tables that you need to be seated at.”

Politicians are hypocrites, for sure. But if you really need the example of a politician to convince you that face masks are useful for preventing the spread of germs, then you’re an idiot.

I wear one when it’s required but I’m not sure how useful they are. Put one on, pinch it tight around your nose, put on some glasses and walk into a cool area. The glasses quickly fog up because breath escapes the mask. Then factor in how some people wear them, over their mouth but under their nose, or not pinched tight around their nose, and i really don’t think they are very effective. 

I agree.  I only wear them where required and I have to or need to be there.  I don’t believe them to be of any real value.  Just virtue signaling by wearers and power and control by those mandating them.  I won’t shop in businesses that make wearing one a condition of entry.  

Then why do these democrats wear them only for the cameras for show and then disregard them the rest of their daily routine?  Boebert was right to publicly shame them and call them out.

Well I can explain it to you. 

The virus is expelled within respiratory droplets.   This happens when we speak, worse when we cough and even worse when we sneeze.

So while virus particles would (on their own) easily pass through the mask material, they are traveling within a vastly larger droplet that (depending upon the mask and the intensity of the respiratory action) will often be caught by the mask.

To wit, masks do indeed cut down on the number of infected droplets reaching other people.   And it is the number of virus particles that are critical in infecting another human being.   The more particles, the more likely an infection.

So, putting this all together, masks filter out a lot of the droplets.   Those droplets that pass the mask are filtered by the environment and gravity (ergo social distancing).   And, ultimately, if one is inoculated, they have antibodies ready to fight off infected droplets that invade their bodies.

Ok well then let’s start by dispensing with a mistaken assumption. The virus does not pass through easily.

Now to be sure, the mask is not 100%. Neither is the vaccine. But each offers substantial protection far beyond what you have without it.

It’s actually ok if some virus gets through the mask because there is a minimum viral load required to cause an infection. It is much harder to get to that load level when people wear masks.

Above, TiG talks about droplets, and those are still important, but the most recent science reveals that aerosols are a bigger problem. Aerosols are much smaller than droplets and they are created deep in the lungs, whereas droplets pretty much come from the mouth, nose, and throat.

You might think the larger droplets would be more of a problem than the smaller aerosols, but because the aerosols are generated in the lungs - where the infection thrives - there is more virus in a small volume of aerosols than in the larger volume of droplets. Here is the science:

Overall, fine aerosols constituted 85% of the viral load detected in our study.

To make matters worse, while a droplet will fall to the ground in a short distance, aerosols can circulate in the air for hours.

So to get back to the point, are masks effective against aerosols? Absolutely! Here is a link to a recent study that talks about problems with the limitations of masks, but also reaffirms their efficacy against aerosols:
