Bill Maher Says He's a 'Hero at Fox News' Because Liberals 'Have Their Head Up Their Ass'
he is willing to call out liberals who have shifted further to the left. "It's not me who's changed, it's the left, who is now made up of a small contingent who've gone mental. And a large contingent who refuse to call them out for it. But I will," Maher said. "That's why I’m a hero at Fox these days," he continued. "Which shows just how much liberals have their head up their ass, because if they really thought about it, they would have made me a hero on their media.

I have no doubt that I just might piss off a lot of people with this post.

Liberals, mostly.

"Real Time" host Bill Maher ripped the left during the most recent episode of his late-night program, saying that Fox News has praised him as of late for criticizing woke liberals he claims "have their head up their ass."

Maher, who has frequently slammed Fox News in the past, spoke about the recent appreciation coming from the conservative news outlet during a segment of his show Friday night.

He played a clip of Fox News host Dana Perino suggesting he run for president as a Democrat. The comedian said, "In the space of 20 years, Bush press secretaries have gone from telling me, I need to watch what I say," referring to comments former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer made in the early 2000s, "... to wondering if I should run for president."

Perino previously served as White House press secretary during the George W. Bush administration from 2007-2009.

But the HBO host explained that Fox's admiration of him is not a result of his political beliefs moving toward the right but because he is willing to call out liberals who have shifted further to the left.

But that can't happen in this ridiculous new era of mind-numbing partisanship where if I keep it real about the nonsense in the Democratic Party, it makes me an instant hero to Republicans."

He went on to highlight that it is not just the Democratic Party who left behind one of their own for criticizing those with huge influence within their party, noting Republicans' hatred of Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney over the last year.

"The same thing happened in reverse to Darth Vader's daughter, Liz Cheney, who is now a hero to liberals simply because she recognizes Biden did not steal the last election. What a sad commentary on our politics," Maher said. "Where simply acknowledging reality is now seen as a profile in courage."

The comedian also explained that he did not always call out the left as much as he does now because they previously "didn't give me so much to work with," adding that "the oath of office I took was to comedy."

"It's not my fault that the party of FDR and JFK is turning into the party of LOL and WTF," he said.

Maher then listed some moves from the left that he suggested were easy to criticize, including Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) calling for rent and mortgage to be canceled, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) demanding an end to policing and incarceration and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) declaring that "capitalism is slavery."

He continued, "canceling Lincoln and Dr. Seuss, teaching children they're oppressors and math is racist, making Mr. Potato Head gender-neutral and now an emoji for pregnant men."

I think Bill Maher has found himself a gold mine of comic material AKA the indoctrinated morons on the far left.

Is BLM off topic?

I’m sure Maher has criticized their excesses too so go for it.  Progressives are not used to criticism like this like we conservatives are so often subjected to, so some may get their panties in a wad over the reporting of what Maher said. I watched it on HBO last night.

BLM is a fascist and domestic terrorist organization.  They are one of the reasons liberals need to reign in the far left progressives as Maher suggested

It's listed as a non-profit with Obama's IRS, yet it's founders absconded with millions.

Where is the accountabiltity?

Where is the accountabiltity?

I saw a story last week about a news organization (obviously conservative, BLM is off limits to the MSM) that attempted to obtain basic paperwork relating to it's status as a charity. It, of course, hasn't been filed.  Nor does BLM maintain an actual office as it listed a false address on other paperwork.

But the MSM pushed the "charity" and it led to millions in donations. The only result was millions in property purchased by the director.

Liberals do have their head up their arse.  Had any president pulled a stunt like 'The Man Who Now Dwells In Mar-a-Lago' at Helsinki, he'd been quartered at Fort Leavenworth the next day and still be there for the next 20 years.

Trump dealt much tougher with Russia than let’s go Brandon is doing.  Trump stopped the Russian natural gas pipeline and Biden gave it a thumbs up because Trump sanctioned it.  Putin didn’t threaten to invade Ukraine when Trump was our President. Impeach #46!

But he’s made a great diversion away from the excesses of the left Maher was calling out to another “but Trump” side show.  The thing is that Maher never liked Trump and yet can still as a liberal democrat call out the kook fringe that is his and their progressive far left.

Indeed it is.  A lot of allegations against Trump based on lies and foreign propaganda Clinton colluded with to get, that were proven false and yet still SOMETHING had to have “happened” in  Helsinki.

Maher’s not wrong, although this madness didn’t spring up out of nothing overnight. It’s been building for several years. Fringe ideas like canceling rent or defunding the police have always been out there, but in those cases we were usually talking about wacky notions held by 1 in 10,000 people.

These days, more and more people go along with those concepts, but I can’t believe it’s because they genuinely think these are good ideas. It’s just the weird solidarity required of modern, tribal politics.

Perhaps worse than the fringe bandwagon is the way politicians completely flip-flop on major ideas for the same tribalism. For example, and just off the top of my head, consider the way Democrats who for years endorsed strong immigration enforcement or retaining the filibuster now treat both of those things as evils akin to white supremacy. Like only a nazi would want secure borders or bipartisan legislation.

There are far more of them on the left than on the right.  That’s why democrats seem so extreme on all the key issues and why a liberal is calling out progressive extremism here.

Bill Maher is one of the most vehement anti-Trump commentators in this country, and here he is being hoisted up on the shoulders of one of the most pro-Trump members on this site.  This is evidence how shallow the mind of a Trumpster is.
