This is another test of techniques and touches. Let's see what happens. An article that posted photos inspired me to get off my butt and take a drive. I live in a densely populated area on the north end of L.A. County, I am also minutes away from the Angeles National Forest and the Cleveland National Forest. I have lived here for 12+ years and never entered these domains. Almost criminal. I...

By: Coral Atlas • default • 1 comments • 12 years ago
Time is a real problem for me and I'm sure for many others ... I work online on the internet yet I also relax and enjoy the internet ... it's rare that someone can do that in life ... but I've worked hard in the real world to now enjoy my virtual world.Having been away for a while I can more adequately draw a contrast and some comparisons to NV ... while I realize their are a number of...

Benghazi Attack: Why didn't the President take action. What action?1. Grabbed his Pilot jumped on Air force One?2. Directed the rescue attempt from the situation room?3. Told the Generals what to do?There is nothing the president could do he had not already done. The president told them to take what action that was needed. Atthat point the Generals had to do their job.The Generals had control...

So here I am when I was a candidate for City Commissihinor. My niece captioned this photo "Bobby Means Business" that I used on my flyers along with "Think Bobby" I had a lot of great catch phrases but lost to big money.I'm still involved in city politics and right now we (the people) are fighting a proposed 276 unit apartment complex. The only exit would put a lot of pressure on a road that is...
Newsvine is Hemorrhaging!
By: bitemore Gfotwo • default • 14 comments • 12 years ago
It's almost funny, if it weren't so sad. But, since 10:28 last night (EST), I count 24 new members here on NewsTalkers... the vast majority of whom I recognize from the Vine. Quite possibly all of them are Vine refugees - and I predict that we'll be seeing more and more and more. Newsvine is, to put it bluntly, a disaster. What makes it so frustrating is that it doesn't matter what anyone says....
"New" Newsvine
By: Belle42 • default • 1 comments • 12 years ago
Has anyone noticed there's a backdoor method to keep "Old" Newsvine (yes, I still lurk there, haven't posted since I "left") -- if you have more than 15 groups/nations, the pop-up asks you if you want to leave some of them or just ignore...on the left side though, there's an option to "go back to classic" -- so today ISN'T D-Day for everyone...

On the day before, the decorations for the Spring Dance had been arranged by the oldest members of the council. Fresh cut spring flowers, the first to poke their green stems out from the still snowy ground had been gathered ceremoniously along with green bows of spruce and hemlock and arranged in special patterns and bouquets. The windows that ran along the tops of the walls had been...

After Temon finished sorting the threads for the days weaving, he headed for the house and readied himself for the meeting to be held in advance of the nights festivities. The town was located at a convenient hopping off point for hunters heading into the mountains for game and for sport. Consequently, the towns only inn was large and prosperous. A crowd, or at least what would be considered a...

Each according to the dictates of his own conscience.Norman Rockwell, et al.The world reeled on its own course, heedless of the thoughts or actions of the people who thought they ruled. Long after Gaea was conquered for the umpteenth time, the last final leader anointed by his gods high hand, Gaea still circled the sun; still the third planet; still the living mass of rock; still except for the...
