The YouTube movie of Wally is sort of like the Emperor's clothes for me. We have a fairly new member called Wally, but no relation to your favourite feline.
If you look on the front page, you will see this article and a small box that says it comes from this group in both the articles and the comment section. People who are members will be able to see when action is going on in the group, and those that are not, can now join the group in order to comment.

This is one of the featured of the new functions that I really like. It lets members know right off if the comment is a Group response or FP article/seed response.
However, unlike the FP discussions, Members will only be able to reply to the Group comments if they join the noted Group in which the comment is made. But, it can let Members see what is going on in the Groups and whether or not they would like to join that Group, whereas before the comments posted in Groups were not visible to the FP.
This should bring some new life into the various Groups they might like to participate in. Another great idea for NT!
Thank you. I hope it will have a greater effect to draw interest and comments than my attempt at challenging members to take a shot at "Continuing the Story" - I even pointed out that there are many movies about politics and religion (which seems to be all that fills the minds of a lot of members) but then I should have known that it takes a little bit of creativity, inelligence and writing ability to take part. I should do an article not about what movie you LOVE, but what movie you HATE and maybe there will be responses.
I waited a long time for this to happen - maybe even YEARS. Let's see if it works. I still think that there should be a Front Page instruction for members on how to adjust their settings, especially group message notifications so that group administrators can EFFECTIVELY inform group members about new and interesting articles. When one sees how many members have not even bothered to create an avatar - the standard hats proliferate - it's a sign that so many members either don't know what to do or just don't give a damn (with apologies to Rhett Butler).
I agree with your idea of Member instructions on the FP. I wonder how many have read the article on the new Group function and its features, or how many Group owners have even assigned a Group Moderator.
It appears that some Members don't care about how many great functions and features have been added to NT over the past few years to upgrade the site for better Member enjoyment. Instead, they choose to endlessly complain about how bad the site is, how unfair it is, and what it doesn't have, instead of appreciating what it does have that they whine and pule how it is not like NV.
Hopefully, more Members will take advantage of the new function that had been provided for them at the great efforts of TiG andappreciate enjoy what Perrie and TiG have worked hard to provide for all members.
I bet if you were treated unfairly you wouldn't say a word..
Wrong. You don't know anything about me personally. If I was indeed treated unfairly I would not be afraid to speak up for myself. However, before I did so, I would take a look in the mirror to see if I myself have done something that caused my being punished or reprimanded. I have stepped across the line a few times and know I deserved what I got, and a also few times without thinking, but, still deserved what I got. I have also been suspended twice back-to-back, both times due to my own mistakes. I also got 11 tickets in one month's time, 4 that did not count as CoC violations, but, all of them my own fault. I did them, so I more than deserved what I got.
I am not a child, so I have no problem admitting my mistakes or wrong doing. However, if I see no reason for the action taken against me, I have no aversion to letting my voice be heard. But, I have yet to be wrongly accused here on NT.

Since this has become more of a cat article than a movie one, I may as well join the crowd. This is a photo, that if it ISN'T one of my cat, it's a dead ringer of him.
He was given to me as a kitten by a friend, actress/singer/songwriter (We'll Sing In The Sunshine) Gale Garnett, who lived around the corner from me. He was my buddy, I even took him with me when I stayed for weekends up north, and he lived with me for 17 years, including the time both before and after I was married. I loved that cat. I'm not ashamed to say that I cried longer and harder when he died than I did for either of my parents.
They do indeed. I had a Tuxedo kitty named Dandy. And he lived up to his name. Especially, when visitors came to the house. He would prance around the room where we were sitting to make sure that everyone saw him, then sit on the back of the couch were everyone could see him and delight in the sweet-talk he got for a while before prancing off to another room, leaving everyone with a high tail good-bye. (grin)
So let's see if this does something
It does something for me. I love seeing adorable Wally anytime.
Wally says the same about you and says to post Yoda Girl!
Here's a picture of my Yoda Girl just for Wally. My partner in crime at the computer. (grin)
Anytime I can open up a thread and see 2 beautiful cats is a good day.
Wait.. this is a movie group.. so let me add a movie of Wally playing fetch!

Now that I think of it, I DID do an article about "What Movie Do You Hate" and got LOTS of responses. LOL
Wally is one cool dude!!
Thanks Uppy!
Wally is the cat's meow.

Buzz...your kitty is adorable. I love his little 'Tuxedo' that makes him look so dapper, and like a great movie star.
I love bi colors! The have such good personalities.

That is one freaky kitty... what did you do to him? Nair?
That is one pussy that no one would grab.
