Yet another school has decided to make the assumption that males are completely unable to control their libidos even long enough to pay attention in class for about an hour at a time without their ravenous masculine urges taking over. While Christians screaming about Sharia Law invading the United States seem to be ignoring this instance of something reminiscent of ACTUAL creeping Sharia,The Internet is up in arms over a photograph of a Kentucky high school girl wearing a slutty, revealing outfit that will surely guarantee her the hottest coals in Satans pit of nightmares.
According to Woodford County High in Versailles, theres something very wrong with this outfit. Do you see it?
How about now?
Still no? Now?
If your answer was anything but No, I dont see whats wrong with this; Quit wasting my time, please sit in the corner while the adults talk.
Stacie Dunn , parent of a 16-year-old student at the school, posted on Facebook that she was forced to leave work to deal with an issue involving her daughter specifically, that Stephanie Dunns sexy, sexy collarbones were too distracting for the boys at her school, which apparently exists within a time vortex leading to the 1940s. In a righteously angry post, Dunn vented:
So this is my daughter at school today. I had to come to the school because according to her school principal what she is wearing is out of dress code and inappropriate for school. When I got there I found a group of female students standing in the office due to being out of dress code also. This is ridiculous! WOODFORD County High School and the principle have been enforcing a dress code where as girls can not show even there collar bones because it may distract their male class mates. This is ridiculous! Parents are being called away from their important jobs and students are missing important class time because they are showing their collarbones! Something needs to change! PLEASE SHARE MY POST! Something needs to change!
Dunn also wrote:
There is a video of the principal explaining why the dress code is they way it is that I am going to get a hold of He basically says that boys are horny teenagers who cant control their primal instincts and so it is up to the girls to keep covered so the boys arent distracted!
Fortunately, Dunns friends helped her find the video, a documentary produced by students last year and principal Rob Akers is exactly as horrible as the furious mother describes:
In the video, Akers explains that at another school that had no dress code, they had a lot of sexual harassment. But he says that the girls were asking for it:
Unfortunately, it always comes back to what the girls are wearing. Its unfair, but its a reality that girls would wear certain things that may have beenrevealing or, um, may and it sounds like theyre, by wearing it theyre asking for it, which isnt what I want to convey, but certain outfits they wore, um, created a situation where guys would make inappropriate statements. And there was a distraction to the learning environment based on what some of the folks were wearing at school.
Nicole Blevins, another parent of a Woodford County High School student, said that her daughter was sent home for her slutty, slutty neckline, as well:
After social media backlash, Dunn says that the school finally agreed to meet with a group of students to discuss a more reasonable, revised dress code one appropriate for this century. She also apologized to members of the staff whose precious fee-fees were hurt by the understandable negative reaction to the schools draconian ideals:
Unfortunately, even if the school board approves the students proposed dress code, the principal of the institution still believes that females are substandard human beings who are the cause of their own suffering at the hands of overblown male libidos. This, of course, is another issue on which parents and students should focus.
Unfortunately, in 2015, women still must fight for equal recognition as human beings. In 2011, for example, Republican Florida state Representative Kathleen Passidomo who is miraculously still in office blamed an 11-year-old who was raped by 18 men for her suffering because she was dressed like a 21-year-old prostitute.
And her parents let her attend school like that. And I think its incumbent upon us to create some areas where students can be safe in school and show up in proper attire so what happened in Texas doesnt happen to our students, she added an argument very similar to that of our friend the high school principal.
Unfortunately, this attitude that women are to blame for mens actions is not uncommon. In 2005, an Amnesty International survey determined that one in three people blame women for being raped.Remember, if a woman or girl ishome cleaning and cooking like she is supposed to be, wearing her hijab, then no one would have the opportunity to say something awful regarding her posterior or breasts or violate her against her will.

We have been reading about this, my son and I. I can only agree that this was ridiculous, and that the principal's logic is flawed. To the max!
We are going up against this high school in marching band contests, and I only hope that my dear son isn't "tainted" with the view of a collarbone or two... /s
This is a pubic school, not a private one, located about an hour away from Louisville, and I cannot believe that the school system of Woodford County would waste their time and $$ on this! Just another example of a paternalistic society, which is alive and well, and gaining ground with all these extremists out and about.
Now THOSE are some pretty hot collarbones!
I see nothing wrong with what those young ladies are wearing.
That being said. The principles logic is flawed, but only in a general sense.
But I'm a worldly 60-ish gentleman. Some of what he puts forth is true. There are whole industries centered around ladies wearing socially inappropriate clothing for the situations they are in.
And yes unfortunately some of the clothing designed and available in the world are intended to invoke a sexual response.
What those young ladies are wearing do not fit that model though.
But in my research on this issue, I ran across an article, which I feel illustrates part of the problem. which is that some of those industries in seeking greater profit have conditioned young ladies into believing that they are adults.
Here is the link.
Youth dress codes and societal expectations leave kids with a contradicting understanding of appearance
It starts off with this statement...
6th to 12th graders (at least half of them) are certainly female, and by the time they reach the 12th grade they are physically capable women, and yes they are young.
But, they are NOT adults by any stretch of the imagination. As you read thru the article I linked to, take a moment to think about what is being said. that these 6th to 12th graders are learning to socialize and sexualize their relationships, and experimentation in clothing concerning sexuality is not only appropriate but necessary to proper development. Ie young women as young as 10, 11 or 12 (6th graders) should be able to wear anything they damn well like for the purpose of their socialization with males.
I guess that the industries concerned with making money off females have really driven the sense of self worth downward to the point where young females demand the right to sexualize themselves before their brains are even fully developed.
And people wonder why parents pull their hair out by the roots trying to protect their young. We live in a society where children are instructed in adult behaviors before they have the capability to understand the full ramifications of those behaviors.
Young ladies should not be ashamed of their growing accoutrements and what they represent, but modest apparel is not a hindrance to such. Besides, most young men will figure out the score anyway no matter what the young ladies wear. Lets not forget that they are under immense social pressure from the opposite direction also.
But all efforts as parents should be made to explain the ramifications of such choices and the consequences of incorrect choices.
Because there is one thing that principle got right. There are billions of dollars in industries designed around females stimulating the male sexual interest. And yes what a girl wears can draw unwanted interests and behaviors from males.
That is an unfortunate truth and there are laws that penalize such behaviors. But only if they are caught.
Is the thinking that she was asking for it by the way she was dressed wrong? ABSOLUTELY! Unfortunately, some business's have a vested interest in propagating such neanderthalic thinking.
And that will never change.
Besides, I don't know too many teenaged boys that think collarbones are all that attractive. They generally are looking elsewhere.
The Puritans are coming!!!!
We are going up against this high school in marching band contests, and I only hope that my dear son isn't "tainted" with the view of a collarbone or two... /s Poor Matthew would be scarred for life!!
Now THOSE are some pretty hot collarbones! PERV!! j/k
(thank goodness her elbows weren't exposed)
The principal probably has child porn on his computer.
The Puritans are coming!!!!
The closest I ever got to being puritan was those caricature plays they made us do every thanksgiving in junior high.
Everyone would hide cause they didn't want to play the part of the turkey...
As far as the principle? I think he has his birds confused with his bees...
As far as the principle? I think he has his birds confused with his bees...I think you're right...
IMO.....the best thing to do would be for ALL schools to have uniforms...
If I were this girl's mother,, I would put her in a different school.....
One in which the uniforms had exposed collarbones ?!
Of course!!
(thank goodness her elbows weren't exposed)
Now THAT would have been outright pornography!
I have often if the "Wal Martians" got paid to dress the way the do...
Darn, I was afraid you might see them!!!
( I have often wondered if the "Wal Martians" got paid to dress the way they do.) correction...
Now THAT would have been outright pornography! At it's best/worst!
Next step for the revival of the "Puritans", make all schoolgirls wear a Burka.
It wouldn't surprise me.
If a boy wears something too revealing he gets beaten up long before the authorities are notified .
but this is old school sexiam with a splash of body shaming. I wouldn't be surprised if the Principal has child pornography on his computer!
Or has a sexual fetish for female collar bones...
Or has a sexual fetish for female collar bones ... Or that too! Who could blame him, with so many females exposing their collar bones in such provocative manners.....
