This waitress doodles on a receipt. When she opens Facebook 2 hours later, she almost faints.

Tim Young and Paul Hullings from New Jersey are hearty firefighters that live for their work. They once worked tirelessly for 12 hours to clear out a fire. After which, being completely exhausted, they went to a diner around 6 am to request the strongest cup of coffee the diner could muster.
Their waitress that day was Liz Woodward and she just happened to overhear the two firefighters discussing their tiresome battle. Eventually, when Tim and Paul went to pay, they were quite surprising. Instead of their bill, they were given this message.
Just a Feel-good Friday article.
Here is the receipt :
Thanks, Pat. I could read stuff like that every day.

Very good Pat! It makes you feel good when you read something like this.
It's even better when you do it.
Once a month, the wife and I take breakfast at the local IHOP, (International House of Pancakes) the one we go to is located right off I-5 about three miles north of Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Invariably you usually see a uniform alone with two or sometimes three young kids doing what kids usually do in a pancake house. (making a mess)
The Wife and I know the manager so we call him over and pick up the soldiers tab, no matter what it is. And he is not allowed to tell him who did it cause they always ask.
The looks you get from them are just are a sight to see, just standing there scanning the crowd hoping to get a glimpse of who did it. (we actually saw a grizzle haired Master Sargent break down. He didn't cry, (but he would have if he was alone) they usually scan the room until the fact hits that they won't find out, and they have a slight smile and a very humble look when they leave.
It's a small bit of appreciation for those who seldom receive any thanks.
Everyone should be doing it.....
Great story!
Sort of restores one's faith in the fact that people appreciate that which is done for them by others.
NM.......That is awesome! Good for you and your wife for showing your gratitude! I'm sure it gives you and your wife a great deal of pleasure to know that you brightened someone's day !!
We don't see to many Military where we live, but, when we do , I'm going to remember to do the same. Thank you for sharing this!
Wonderful story Pat. Talk about paying it forward!
