The reflection is spectacular even if the coloring is too bright for my tastes I'm always taken by the depth of your work and more importantly the varied methods you apply. Please take no offense if a particular shot doesn't appeal to me. I always come back for more!!
No offense taken, Lynne; the saturated colors are "correct" for "poster prints". A so-called "fine art" or "documentary" presentation would "require" a more "truthful" rendition and/or black and white.
The words appearing in quotation marks are as such to indicate the inherent subjectivity when it comes to the perception of art; My Fine Art Masters thesis was entitled … "The Role of Presupposition in the Perception of Art."
What a viewer brings to any work of art, literature, music, theater, etc., is "who he/she is at the moment in time." Presupposition and "taste" are ultimately along for the ride.
In retrospect, although I'm happy with the image, I actually regret not having tossed a pebble into the pond at the approximate center of the reflected architecture … a few concentric ripples would have made the shot "better".
I shoot all pictures in RAW File Format … the camera's processor makes no "decisions" as it in fact does when shooting in JPEG or TIFF file formats. Digital cameras (unknown to many shooters) will make modifications to shots before recording them to a memory card; I prefer to make all processing decisions myself which is why I use the RAW format.
Lovely picture....I once took a 35mm photo at the family place in the Adirondacks on a perfectly calm and sunny morning. Later when I developed it, the reflection was so clear I couldn't tell if it which was the top or the bottom of the photo. I'll have to see if I can find it.....

Very nice photo - would look good on the Creative Arrs group but I can understand that you would prefer that more people would be interested in seeing it if it's on the Home page.

Buzz,
I have many more Disney and other previously not posted images for the Creative Arts Group which I will be posting regularly (not just on the Thursday/Friday feature).
I still do not receive e-mail notifications and wonder if other members are having the same issue; that concerns me in terms of "traffic" at the Group. Hopefully, members who see the Photography articles from the Home Page will join the Creative Arts Group.
If a viewer doesn't particularly care for this image, it's no reflection on the viewer … rather, it's a matter of taste.
A Mac
What a magnificent photo - a great example of grabbing the beauty nature makes available.
Thanks
Thanks RIO,
Looks like it's just you and me …
Beautiful photo Mac,
Peaceful and I love the reflection among the lily pads.

Freely admit I'm not drawn to posters. Probably more of the "truthful" seeker, yet the "half-truth" coloring in your woods shots were outstanding!
My fine artful eye is simple, I like what I like and will know it when I see it.
Beautiful! Simply beautiful!
Lovely concept poster, Mac.
I have a question for you. What did the original shot look like?

Looking forward to seeing it!

"I don't expect that koi put up much of a fight!"

Depends … some Koi are voracious feeders.
