I love the scenery in the desert where I live now (it has a beauty all of it's own), but photos like this make me homesick for Michigan.
If you were my neighbor or guest, you wouldn't be in Michigan, rather in the unique situation where, out the front door is a city street, and, out the back door, are scenes like the one in the picture.
I grew up in such a setting - front door on the street and back door opening onto a yard with a lower level that we flooded in winter to make a skating rink and behind that a ravine where I would spend my days collecting snakes and salamanders.
Can't wait 'til March!
Me too.
Good night all; I got a few more shots today and a video or two as well.
I'll be posting some tomorrow.
