Bird Body Language

If one observes birds (especially close-up through a good lens), over time, it becomes evident that, like other creatures, they display body language.

The female Snowbird (Junco) did just that … and I was lucky enough to record it.

I can't tell the genders (are only the males brightly colored like many other kinds of birds?), but I swear I can sometimes tell when the Hummingbirds around my house fly close to the patio door several when the feeder is empty as if to let me know to get off my ass and refill it.Happy

Okay A.Mac, since you can understand its language, what is this bird saying?

She's saying, "I wonder how long it will be until someone asks about what I'm saying."

Good night to all.

I have been working on restorations recently … old photos on glass slides (Magic Lantern Slides); as new software becomes available or updated, I'm finding I can attain even better results in getting 100+ year-old images brighter, clear and with better contrast.

Once digitized and restored, I am creating borders, and placing captions in the borders, mostly using cursive fonts. I'll be posting some of these soon.

Looking forward to that. I always enjoy looking at vintage photos.

She's a beaut!

We get the dark-eyed ones around here; very nice to see such a great shot of a slate. Thanks A. Mac.

:~)
