Look around me I can see my life before me Running rings around the way it used to be
I am older now I have more than what I wanted But I wish that I had started long before I did
And there's so much time to make up everywhere you turn Time we have wasted on the way So much water moving underneath the bridge Let the water come and carry us away
[Instrumental (Fiddle)]
Oh, when you were young Did you question all the answers Did you envy all the dancers who had all the nerve
Look around you know You must go for what you wanted Look at all my friends who did and got what they deserved
So much time to make up everywhere you turn Time we have wasted on the way So much water moving underneath the bridge Let the water come and carry us away
So much love to make up everywhere you turn Love we have wasted on the way So much water moving underneath the bridge Let the water come and carry us away Let the water come and carry us away
A.Mac. I never tire of seeing your wonderful photos that feature water. Well, actually, I never tire of seeing your photos at all.
I have always been most comfortable near bodies of water, whether ocean, lake, river or stream. Perhaps it's because my sign is Aquarius, or perhaps because I have all my life spent much time near bodies of water, and so I felt a simpatico with Hesse's Siddhartha in his final attraction to the river where he became a ferryman.
Siddhartha’s reward for studying the river is an intuitive understanding of its divine essence. The river’s many sounds suggest the sounds of all living things, and the flow of the river, as well as the fact that its water perpetually returns, suggests the nature of time. The ferryman points Siddhartha in the right direction, but the river itself is Siddhartha’s final instructor.

I love being around bodies of water also, but do have some fear of it because I can't swim. When I was young my vision was 20-440 and I was terrified of the water because I couldn't see very far. When I was about 9 my father realized I couldn't see and got my yes examined, but it's really difficult to learn how to swim with glasses.
GOSH! This makes me want to throw my hiking boots on and get out there. Splashing through the crick....Ugh, it took me years to get rid of that accent and with one little look it's no longer a creek but a crick again!
When I lived in Battle Creek few things irritated the natives then having people pronounce it Battle Crick. Drove them nuts! I thought it was hilarious.
Let the waters come and carry us away …
