I saw my first hummingbird in China today - it was in a really forested area. At my cottage in Ontario I had a hummingbird feeder and it attracted them every day.

Buzz,

I have a hummingbird feeder and have yet to see a hummingbird come to it; how the hell the damned ants know to climb the pole it hangs on beats me!

I swear that when I forget to refill the Hummingbird feeder they fly outside the family room window and give me dirty looks.

We don't see too many out here for some reason, this is their natural habitat but they just don't come around.

The wife got tired of filling the feeder to never see them come around so she quit.

What a capture, they are beautiful.

Ruby-throated hummers here every year, I've yet to spot a nest...even with my zoom capable binoculars!

Your shot, NWM, on a scale of difficulty, is a much tougher one to capture than mine. My birds were sitting motionless on a nest, your hummingbird was hovering and, accident or not, it's a stronger image!

Well done!

Gorgeous! We've started seeing Rubies up here the last couple of weeks or so. Speedy little gems they are!

Dear Friend A, Mac: My question to you as a naturalist and superlative photographer is this.

How much does a Hemming Weigh?

Perhaps we can discover the answer this fall in the Pocanos when we hike there.

Enoch,

Your presence is likened to the phoenix.

I don't know about the Pocono Hemming Weigh, but having visited Key West the Ernest variety of Hemming Weigh was over 200 in its prime :)

Nice to see you, as it were.

Dear Friend Lynne Adams: On another site article I posted a message to you.

Permit me to repeat it here.

I seek a co-author for an original article I wrote.

You would be the perfect writing partner for this in my opinion.

If interested, please get my private email address from A. Mac.

Send me a test email.

I will then use the address to send you the draft of my part.

Peace and Abundant Blessings.

Enoch.

Dear Friend A, Mac: My question to you as a naturalist and superlative photographer is this.

How much does a Hemming Weigh?

It weighs somewhere between an ounce of prevention and a pound of cure.

Perhaps we can discover the answer this fall in the Pocanos when we hike there.

I am so happy to see you after a long absence.

We are dealing with a serious problem in my part of the Poconos; the Bethlehem (PA) Water Authority has proposed putting a wind turbine farm along the mountain ridge just up the slope from my house! This would cause both environmental and economic devastation and our community has retained an attorney.

That matter pending, we must revisit our plan to get together when the fall colors arrive and the smallmouth bass and trout fishing heat up.

I'll be heading out west for some National Park photo shooting soon; when I return, let's make a tentative plan.

Glad to see you.

Dear Friend A. Mac: Deal.

All best wishes on the environmental defense where your cabin is.

On the trip out west, "Go in good health and in better health return".

Shalom U'Vracha.

Aren't they adorable?

People ask what faith is, and this is it-- they have such faith their parents will return to care for them!  I hope they have many happy days!

Fantastic picture, as well!!!
