I use a flash and, for what it's worth, after years of trial and error, I've learned to anticipate the movements of many species and can pretty much get most of my shots in one frame. But understand, I only post the good shots.
Beautiful! The birds and the weather. We actually broke down and fired up (?) the air conditioner for the summer. We keep it set at 84 degrees and It'll be set there until sometime in September or more likely October.
As always those are beautiful photos A Mac. I know these birds don't just fly up and chirp "Take My Photo". I would imagine there are a lot of hours spent waiting for the right moment.
We have more birds this year in the yard than ever before it seems - woodpeckers, bluebirds, robins, grackles, a few hummingbirds and a couple of others that I have yet to identify. We also have a couple of small hawks (not sure what kind) that buzz the area time to time
Tweet.
How many frames did it take to get a picture where they actually held still long enough to not blur?!
Great Pics!
