I was busily cleaning up my yard when I happened upon a sign of spring (that is, besides the snow being almost gone)....
Little flashes of what looked like purple through my polarized sunglasses....
Resolving into tiny flowers on closer inspection.
Blue flowers...
And leaves....
At all stages of opening...
Ahhhhhhhhhh...
Great photos Brolly, spring has sprung.
Sorry, I fell asleep while posting this. More to come later.
Broliver
Beautiful shots
We are also finally getting some warm weather and the sprouting of colorful plans along Lake Erie
Spring is finally here
Thanks forsharing the greatshots
It looks like blue-eyed grass! It's related to iris and is a native flower! We have them, too! They only bloom for a short while, so cherish these pictures! Here...
Beautiful!
Nice job!! I have these beauties also. I just LOVE the color!!
I meant to tell you, and forgot, that these beautiful little flowers can be ordered as live plants from the Shooting Star Nursery in Georgetown, KY. They are expensive, but they come as live plants you can transplant, and they are healthy. Link
Thank you, Kavika. Like I said, I was falling asleep, quite literally, while I posted this.
I was working my way in, getting closer to the flowers. In the spirit of that, I will move a bit closer:
Thank you very much. Nature provided the colors, I just made an imperfect record of them.
That is one very nice photo, Dowser. I love the lines, different shades of blue, all leading in to the the center. The detail is very nicely done.
The sun was low angle, filtering through the trees.... Ahhhhh.
Thanks, dear Brolly-- I googled it!
I have seen them with the bright yellow centers and with white centers... They're so pretty!
I'm somewhat curious, Brolly, as to why you used a title about "Friday" but chose not to post your article on the Creative Arts group where we schedule a weekly photo posting article on that day. I believe you are a member of that group. I'm not saying you shouldn't post photography articles since the Front Page has such a category, but why use the "Friday" reference?
Beautiful photos Broliver and Dowser!Magnificent.
I called it that out of deference to the Photo Friday of old. I am a member of that group, but I don't think that we get as much traffic on the groups as we do on the front page, at least that is the way that it used to be. Also, it was a reference to Friday being the end to the work week.
Plus, I am lazy....;)
