What Famous People Were Born on Your Birthday - Pick 5
What Famous People Were Born on Your Birthday - Pick 5
The Chances are that there are many famous people born on your birthday. My birthday is January 26th, which makes me an Aquarius, and according to the Chinese form of Astrology, I born in the year of the rat. The Chinese Astrological symbols are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig, and they are determined by the lunar calendar. This year is the year of the rooster.
My 5 picks are:
Paul Newman. I like every movie he ever acted in - if he was in it, it was worth watching.
General Douglas MacArthur. A great American general.
Wayne Gretzky. The Great One. He was born and grew up about 30 miles from where I was born and grew up in Ontario.
Bob Ueker. Major league baseball player and announcer.
Gene Siskel. Film critic, Roger Ebert's Partner. (Maybe my love of movies can be traced here.)
One I would not be proud of:
Frank Costello. Mafia Boss.
Let's see your list of FIVE famous people born on your birthday. By birthday I mean birth date, not necessarily the same year you were born.

Another one from the Burgh here.
My mom used to say if it wasn't for Swan and Stallworth making all those catches Bradshaw wouldn't have been so great. lol
I'm just north of the 'Burgh, about an hour.
So did I. I grew up just off Rt 28 (Tarentum). Job sent me to NC.
I think it's more than just making the passes. Bradshaw is the one that called the plays on the field. There were no radios in the helmets back then.
My SO's family is from Sarver. Sorry to hear you grew up in "Toilet town".
Speaking of Franco Harris, how about those Nittany Lions this year. We Are...PENN STATE! (Grew up 9 miles from Beaver Stadium).
I haven't been able to catch a single damn game down here. F*cking Duke is about the only thing they will play. What' I've seen they are doing great this year.
Well, Penn State plays Ohio State on Fox this Saturday at 3:30pm Eastern.
6x Superbowl CHAMPION PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!!
Very true, and their record in getting those was....
5 well deserved wins,
2 well deserved losses
And one ungodly theft!
(evil grin) the stripe'rs were definitely biting that day....
Must be either a Ravens fan or a Cowboys fan.
Nope, A fan of the last team to make back to back superbowl appearances...
I'm probably wrong but that would be New England wouldn't it?
You were born in the year of the Sheep/Ram?Goat. Read all about it:
Thanks for the info.
I have the element of fire.
I would have thought that my sign, Aquarius, was a water element, but it isn't, it's the air element.
I would have thought that my sign, Aquarius, was a water element, but it isn't, it's the air element.
That's a common misconception, and understandably so as Aquarius is the "Water Bearer":
Air signs (Gemini, Aquarius, Libra) tend to view the world via their their intellect. Air is one of fours elements (the others are Fire, Earth, and Water). It has to do with thinking.
Aquarian are often interested in bettering humanity. Usually very idealistic in one way or another. One of their main traits (unless modified by the rest of the chart of course) is that they are often unconventional-- often they look at the world bit differently than most other people. As a result they are usually fairly innovative. Often non-conformists in some ways.
They are also a "fixed" sign-- as a result (depending upon the rest of the chart of course) they can often have a tendency to be a bit stubborn at times. (Another way of saying that is that perhaps more than any other sign Aquarians stick to their principles-- its very important for most Aquarians to be true to themselves...
That's a common misconception, and understandably so as Aquarius is the "Water Bearer":
There are correspondences between Astrology and other approaches in western mysticism such as the Tarot, the Kabbala, the Arthurian Legends, and others.
In the Tarot, there are correspondences between the major cards and Astrological signs. The Tarot card The Star corresponds to the Astrological sign of Aquarius-- and as you can see that like the Astrological symbol for Aquarius, the Tarot card "The Star" card also depicts a "water bearer".
Astrology also has strong correlations to Jungian psychology and related things such as The MBTI (" the Myers Briggs Type Indicator- - a psychological system and test about the various personality types).
I will be posting an article about the MBTI on NT soon when I get a chance Its fun to learn your MBTI type, and often people get useful insights about themselves from studying it.
"...its very important for most Aquarians to be true to themselves..."
Yes, as Polonius said to his son Horatio in Shakespeare's Hamlet:
“This above all: to thine own self be true
And it must follow, as the night the day
Thou canst not then be false to any man..."
It would be interesting to speculate as to what Astrological sign Polonious was. (I can't guess because my knowledge of Shakespeare is not nearly as thorough as my knowledge of Astrology).
BTW I shouid point out that while "to thine own self be true" would be very in character for most Aquarians, that is not necessarily the case for most other signs...
I don't think there's any way to know what Polonius' sign was.

LOL.. I think if you don't know who she is, you've been living under a rock.
I don't know who she is either. But let me try to tune in using my YUGE & Extremely bigly psychic powers. Just a wild guess of course, but my psychic powers tell me that in the Chinese system of Astrology, J K Rowling is probably most likely a Snake.
Her western Astrology? Ummm... let me try to guess.... possibly a Leo Sun (possibly somewhere in the neighbourhood of somewhere between 7 & 9 degrees of Leo?). Maybe, let's see-- Sun in her 6th house?Possibly Moon in Virgo and Aquarius rising? (That's just a wild guess of course). Her astrological modality is? Mutable?
Probably born on about the same day (July 31) but not the same year as-- Mark Cuban!
If I had to guess her MBTI type, I could be wrong but I'd guess she's probably an INFP or an INFJ (I'll go with the latter).
In numerology, her birthpath is probably something like, maybe, 5?
Of course all of this is mere speculation-- I could be totally wrong!

Even though some of the conversations went astray on this article, I would never declare a derail or off topic because I encourage such straying on my articles, unless they get into pooitical or religious comments that are obnoxious. This was a good way for members to become better acquainted, but I'll be careful from now not to post such articles if they elicit info that could become problems for the commenters.
I don't know of any such refinements, Krishna.
OK...here are those who were born on my Birthday:
Robert L Gibson - Officer, Astronaut and Aviator

John Adams - Second US President
The Fonz - Henry Winkler - Actor
My Chinese Zodiac sign is : Monkey - Lucky numbers 1,7 & 8 - Lucky colors: white, gold and blue
My Official Zodiac sign is Scorpio
My Official Zodiac sign is Scorpio
Scorpios can be intense, love mysteries and secrets (& are good at keeping secrets). very loyal to their friends. Not superficval, they want to "go beneath the surface. They can really stick to things...sometimes some be be a bit "inflexible" (which can sometimes be a really good quality). Scorpio colours preferences are often red and black, so there are probably some other very strong influences in your chart besides Scorpio.
Thanks for the additional info on Scorpios. In addition to black and red, I like bold, bright and vibrant colors all over the chart. Pastels are not really my thing, as they are a bit too washed out looking for. Maybe that's from the Cherokee in me as well. (smile)

You're welcome
One thing about Scorpios is that they are generally very intense (even in they hide it-- which being sometimes secretive they might do on ocasion). So that might in part explain your liking intense colours? (I may be stretching the point here a bit though..) And being a Cherokee.
I think of pastels as being liked more by, say , Libras (they want everything to be "nice", harmonious, "balanced"-- not intense-- I think in general they shun intensity).
Also probably Virgos and Capricorns like less intense" colours as well.
Scorpios ,being a water sign, are generally very in touch with their emotions, feelings tend to be very important for them.
From what you said about you and computers, my guess is that you probably have a fair amount of air in your chart as well.(Air is associated with thinking and communicating, and the intellect) Typically, Aquarius is strongly associated with computers and especially the Internet, but to some degree so is Gemini.
Very close Krishna. I love the bright array of colors of Mexico and South America, as well as Italy and Spain. The Chinese also like bright vibrant colors, as well as the Japanese. For me, vibrant colors help to tell the story and give the feel of and tone of the story. I create a lot of graphic images of Native American culture, traditions and events in their lives. It seems that the vibrant colors being the the story of the images to full life.
Most Scorpios are indeed by very sensitive in some respects, and also very Spiritual. I myself can feel a persons aura as soon as I meet them, at times I can tell what they will say before they say it. It is a very strange feeling.
Funny thing is, my Father was an Aquarius, and he loved the bright, bold colors as well. But, then again, he was Cherokee as well. (smile)
Scorpios are also known to be very strong willed and don't take to intimidation or heavy handedness that well. But, they are true Friends with those they trust and form a Spiritual bond with.
As far as air in my chart, I have been accused a few times of being full of hot air. (grin)
Give me your birth date and year and I can check what your Chinese astrological sign is.

I assume you mean November 7 rather than July 11 (I never know which is right when you just use numbers). You were born in the year of the Pig, which is your zodiac sign. Here you can read what that means:
I forgot your a Canadian ex-pat living in China,
That would be 11/7/47 to you... {chuckle}
Yes, July 11th.
Doesn't matter anyway, it's still the same year, so still the same symbol.
Well, let's see, October 2nd, we Have:
1. Mahatma Gandhi
2. Sting (though I still have a dislike for him after he pompously decided rock music is dead, since he couldn't figure out anything new anymore)
3. King Richard the Third
4. Nat Turner (Early Civil Rights Leader)
5. Kelly Ripa (Who doesn't like Kelly?)
I'm not particular about Sting's music, but he was pretty good in the movie "Dune".
I didn't know who Kelly Ripa was - had to look it up.
Okay, so there's 1 person.......LOL
I love Sting. I loved the Police.
Not a fan-when he decided he was the spokesman for all music. Oh, and Dune? That clinched it for me.
When Sting appeared in that leather diaper in Dune, all sweaty and buffed, my hormones went into over drive.

LOL. So how is it going?
Not too bad. Our 28th anniversary is November 25. Pretty good for two people who always want to be in charge
Well, not all the things they say are right. I think that what they said about my sign are way off base. Somebody probably just made them up.
I'll be turning off my computer now for about the next 9 or 10 hours. but I'm not closing the article. I'll catch up after breakfast in the morning.

Mean Joe Greene was better. Or, we could mention Jack Ham...or, my current favorite player James Harrison.
We could also throw in Lynn Swann, Terry Bradshaw (Still better than the likes of Tom Brady) and Franco Harris. As for current favorites, I'm going with LeVeon Bell.
Oh, boy! We're talking Steelers!
When they were good.....
The entire Iron Curtain was better than 99% of the teams today. They played when it was still a contact sport.

I really miss those days. The NFL has almost turned into a
