We've been seeing more fawns around our area too, on the roads many are too mangled to tell that they are a fawn except for the spots in the fur. The fawns also have that instinct to lay down and don't move, which is kind of unfortunate for the fawn especially when it comes to cutting hay, one 20 acre field yielded 7 fawns crushed through the hay conditioner and repairs to the machine. You didn't get a OMG from me, we are polluted with deer in our area.
Nikon 200-500 mm lens on a Nikon D500 camera; got new shots this afternoon ... some animal behavior I never photographed before ... will post tonight; and also got in some fishing which has been good ... any time I can get fish to hit flies on the surface 👌!
Why would doctors take in boarders?? Most of them make enough money these days so they don't have to take on the side business of being innkeepers too.
OK, so I'm a smartass. I've never denied it. Works out OK as long as I remember that the difference between a smartass and a dumbass is razor thin.
Still in the woods and have taken some very interesting animal behavior shots which I will post tonight or tomorrow as I will be taking more pictures and fishing today.
One troubling thing ... Mountain Laurel all over but no butterflies!
When young, fishing was one of our "grocery stores". We kept them and frid up the first couple we caught right there. Fresh perch or small mouth can't be accurately described by me.
It took years to get the small and taste of restaurant and store bought fish past my nose and taste buds. I think the processing methods helped improve that situation.
Please send your DOLLARS to your favorite charities.
"Good" for you. Deserved I'm sure.
Now give "ME" a dollar.
Always glad to hook up in a non-political discussion; it’s a hopeful event.
To bad not enough folks like this kind of stuff and find it TOO TAME. I like it anyway. If that counts.
Sorry, I said "WOW!" instead. LOL
Absolutely awesome pic. You got my buck for your fawn.
I don’t noe

good picture of the fawn
Great photo of the fawn.
There are more to come; tracking a bear cub as well.
Been doing it for years and always have an exit point ... but your concern is much appreciated.
Of course you are right; I'll be careful.

Maybe your area is polluted with people.
Spectacular! First thought was OMG...adding additional dollar to my Chattanooga Food Bank donation.
Great gesture and as always, good to see you.
Oh... my... God...
It's said that the Deer never look up. Most times, neither do the predators.
Great shot Mac. Was it telephoto or did you place the camera in the right spot? Good luck with the Bear cub.

Nothing beats mother nature for it's beauty.. and you do a wonderful job of capturing that.
Making my donation to Doctors without Boarders.

Odd about the butterflies. Hope it is not a "plague".
While fishing, do you catch and release and/or save some for dinner?

I put them all back … use barbless hooks for easy release …
I can understand that.
