I'm at my mother's house, trying to do laundry, etc., and it is raining cats and dogs out there... I will try to take a picture of something to post. Right now, I'm going through old books, and trying to pack them. I've got everybody's bible from the 1820's on... Few of them have any neat family history in them. Sigh! They are of historical interest, I guess. No pictures.
Bless you! I wore out on books, because you have to be so careful taking then out of the rotating book case... And started going through buttons, which doesn't require much lifting. Then, I got "blue" and started blubbering, as some of Grandma's baby buttons were in there, and some things I remembered... It's funny how some things set you off on a crying jag and others don't.
I may go out in the garage and take pictures of some of the old pottery I've found. Then, you'll see all the drawers, filled with tools, that have to be gone through. I'm not giving up one single tool. NOR am I allowing my husband to have them, as he has managed to dissipate my tool box over the years. Which sounds mean, but gee-mo-netti, I like tools, too!
All of this is fairly overwhelming.
Do you think that 30 year old liquor and liqueurs are any good? Is Sherry a liquor or a wine? I'm afraid to try to drink any of it, just in case it's turned into poison... However, I could use a stiff shot of something, tonight.
I'll throw out the Sherry... I have to get down on my hands and knees to get into the cabinet. My mom did not drink. At all. Ever.
I expect lightning to strike me, at any moment.
All I have as a mixer is coke or V8, and all I have found, so far, is apricot liqueur, tequila, and sloe gin. I'll think I'll visit the days of my youth and have a sloe gin and coke.
Also a great ''watch bull'', safety first in the Ozarks.
If you want to break into our house, in addition to Tex, there's Rocky, our pet ground hog. Amos our armadillo, Annie and Wiki the wonder dogs, and of course Sky our hawk.

It is in my hometown of Owensboro, KY. It is at a little "park" downtown, but they will be moved as the riverfront area is finished more. Actually, it's next to the art museum on Frederica Street. And it has a big bull buffalo on one side and a mother with calf on the other.
I thought he looked a bit too much like Mr. Universe Schwarzenegger, myself... But, it is a nice depiction. I guess this fellow had to be really strong to balance out the giant buffalos on either side of him. He was a lot bigger than I am, but I can't honestly say he isn't lifesize...
I was driving down the street and saw it. What a surprise!

Whatever you post including the title page which identifies the publication interesting is interesting.
Going to bed; hopefully in the morning there will have been some activity.

He Showed Up but would not Show Off!

He's beautiful, even without showing off!
Sherry is the name of a woman I know.
He's still a masterpiece of Nature, Lynne.
There has been so much bull on the front page, I thought that I'd post a photo of Tex, a real bull.
He appears horny.
My first thought....don't mess with the bull, you get the horns! Exactly like the FP
Well Tex is horny, for sure.
Also a great ''watch bull'', safety first in the Ozarks.

A fearsome group, they are.
Me, too! She's a pretty lady...
Holy Moley! What horns!!!
Kavika, we got a new statue in Owensboro-- I thought you would really like it, so I took a picture for you!
It will look better in the Spring, when the back ground is covered up by pretty plants--
What a beautiful statue! Where is it located?
What a great statue Dowser.
Thanks for posting it.
Now we're rollin' thanks Marine24.

Wow... that is total bull!
Really amazing dog. What a fine animal.

So glad you like it! It's on Buffalo Road-- which was the name of Frederica when it was first settled 1797-1798
Beautiful dog! Love his eyes!
Such a beautiful dog!
They really are amazing dogs. The main breeder of these fine dogs is Kim LaFlamme in Ore.
There are around 500 of them in the U.S.
I've read about them, before, I think! They are gorgeous!
I don't have any art form that I'm talented at that I can discuss in mixed company. Well, at least I seem to remember being good at it?
Who put the hood on his head?
Beautiful, but dangerous?

Not dangerous at all Buzz. They are used as working dogs, guard dogs and, believe it or not, ''baby sitters''...
If you own one, you have to have a lot of room for them to run, they need a lot of exercise. They also have tremendous pulling power.
