CHARLIE KIRK, CANDACE OWENS HARASSED BY PROTESTERS

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

Conservative activists Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens were harassed by protesters at a Philadelphia coffee shop Monday morning.

Kirk and Owens are best known for organizing thousands of conservative student activists with the group Turning Point USA, which Kirk founded.

Footage shared by Owens Monday morning show a man pouring a drink on Kirk.

Screen-Shot-2018-08-06-at-10.04.27-AM.pn

Protesters chanted “No More White Supremacy” at Owens, who is black, and Kirk, blew whistles and yelled in a megaphone.
Police can be seen attempting to protect the two and escorting them from the scene.

It appears that Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-Calif.)   call to harass   conservatives and Republicans while they are trying to live their lives hasn’t fallen on deaf ears.

Protesters can be heard shouting on a megaphone, blowing annoying whistles, and essentially calling Owens and Kirk “white supremacists.” No word on whether the protesters recognized that Owens is a black woman.

Here are the videos where Owens alleges that “Antifa” attacked Kirk and her [videos in article linked below]

As you could see, one of the protesters threw some kind of liquid on Kirk as they were approaching the restaurant. Some protesters were chanting something about attacking the “bourgeoisie,” which is very telling on what beliefs these protesters subscribe to.

Whatever the case, it’s not okay to attack someone for having different beliefs. Kirk and Owens were there to eat breakfast. What makes shouting epithets at people okay when two people are merely trying to eat the most important meal of the day? What makes it okay in any case?

I doubt this will get 1/100th the coverage and pearl-clutching that the Jim Acosta story got. Even though Acosta 1) went to the crowd instead of them coming to him, 2) was separated by the crowd from a fence, 3) probably had bodyguards, 4) didn't have things thrown at him and 5) didn't have anyone screaming in his ear with a bullhorn.

Heck, just last year a guy shot Republicans for being Republicans and we know it was because of the things he was hearing in leftist media. But it happened to someone on the Right, so they aren't bothered and Maxine Waters thinks we need to harass more people.

Now, when Maxine shot her mouth off, she defended it by saying she wasn't calling for violence. Of course the King of England didn't specifically call for the murder of St. Thomas aBecket either.

I will also point out that she wasn't talking about regular people, but that she wanted members of the Trump administration harassed. That's a smallish group, but it's clear that the wacky leftist mobs won't be making any such polite distinctions. The people in this story were not just harassed, they were physically assaulted and they aren't members of the Trump administration. They're literally just private citizens with known conservative political views and they were attacked on that basis.

So, it's clear that any conservative private citizen is a target and a member of Congress is cheering the mob on.

It's sad when people have to resort to the tactics like this because they don't possess the mental capacity and ability to deal with reality.  Same garbage we see from the same people here on NT.

I think I'm done with this site.  Too much whining by the left.  I haven't seen a real seeded article or original article here in quite a while that wasn't crying about the President.  TDS running rampant here.

Donald Trump was never qualified to be president of the United States. It all stems from that. The Republican Party gutlessly allowed him to get their nomination.

At the first GOP debate Trump got up there and clownishly started insulting everyone in sight like he was a two bit comedian at a low life comedy club. Why and how he survived even that spectacle is a mystery.  The president of the United States is a position of dignity, not a freak show.

Rosie O' Donnell was on a cable news show this afternoon. She blamed the liberal interviewer and his compatriots in the news for letting this get this far, and she's right. All the media became enamored with their ratings and never vetted Trump in 2015 like he should have been vetted.  He is phenomenally unqualified to be POTUS. He is a life long crook, con man and cheat. The media glossed over and ignored it because of ratings. Disgrace on all of them.

And America will survive and thrive under Trump.  Hysterical screaming lunatics aside, the American people will succeed.  It's what we do.

And that is YOUR opinion.  If he weren't "qualified" you don't think Clinton wouldn't have made that public?

You're correct.  The office is a position of dignity.  And Trump has been just that.  Standing up to anybody who opposes not only him but US citizens as well.

Rosie's opinion means as much as yours or mine.  They are just opinion.  In her case she has a platform that her ignorance can be spread to millions much faster.  Surely doesn't make her correct in any shape or form.

Being married to a guy who becomes president is an accomplishment? That's seems to be all Hillary had too. Candice Owens has accomplished a lot, especially in the face of pure left wing bigotry. It takes courage for her to stand up to leftists who think women and minorities who don't automatically regurgitate liberal talking points have a "special place in hell"- as Albriggt put it.

ROFL

The first amendment allows you to have different views and even voice them without being arrested by the Government, but that's all. It doesn't cover meal breaks or anything else. It doesn't protect you from people who you get angry while spouting hate or other gibberish, except for direct assault. You want to push hate, you're going to get some back.

It's funny how many on the right are "letter of the law" on so many topics (when it's to their advantage) but feel free to read in SO many rights (for their convenience) in a law or amendment when it suits them, especially the first and second.

Of course, the first and second are short and in simple language and the rest are too complicated and long for a lot of people to understand. Or maybe some people loved their childhood so much they don't ever want to act any other way, like acting like a adult.

A good example and a well known old child comes to mind, nowhtmean?

Both the law and common sense tell us that a person who voluntarily gets up on a stage is subject to heckling.

Candace Owens is free to say whatever she wishes... but then she is responsible for saying it. If she uses a bullhorn to speak, then she should expect a bullhorn coming back at her.

All speech carries consequences.

'When on stage' are the key words.  If you want to have an exchange of ideas then have one in the setting of that exchange.  Harrassing people because you don't like their political beliefs when they are eating?  When did that start making sense to you?  Is it okay to dump liquids on you if I happen to see you having breakfast somewhere because I don't agree with your stated beliefs?  People keep broaching civilized barriers, eventually they will receive an uncivilized response.

I agree, and if they don't tow the democratic line, they get labeled as a "token black" or "Uncle Tom", they aren't allowed to think for themselves without backlash from the D party. LBJ said that they would be voting D for 200 years because he signed the civil rights act. People are people and they are allowed to think the way they do, they shouldn't feel guilty for having a differing opinion, and they certainly should be able to eat breakfast/lunch/dinner without being harassed.

Took my wife to an "expensive" restaurant last weekend for a quiet little date. Parents came in with 3 little kids and were seated next to our booth. Kids were a bit rowdy so they gave them little tablets so each one of them could watch their shows in order to keep them quiet. The Fucking movies were loud (no ear pieces or headsets). I complained and they were REQUIRED to turn them off and control their children, or were told they would have to leave if they couldn't. They left !

I am not a fan of public harassment.  With that said, this seems to be this duo's shtick.  They go around inserting themselves into an environment that would not be welcoming to their "message" for the purpose of a reaction.

It appears they received the reaction they wanted because now they are able to post it on youtube and other social media outlets and play victims.

The worst type of reaction they could receive is indifference but the left struggles with choosing this option.  They are easily provoked.

It is acceptable for a 'mob' [lack of a better term] to accost 2 US citizens in a public place having a meal and conversation?  Is this okay because they make speeches, or is this okay because someone does not agree with their view points..

At a venue, if the opposition wants to push back against the speakers beliefs, that is considered a protest .. in an individuals daily life, it is called harassment, perhaps even stalking and/or assault (?) … I sincerely find it difficult to believe anyone is okay with this behavior, what does it accomplish - outside of attempted intimidation through 'mob rule'.. If this does not accomplish the desired outcome .. what next?

I wonder if those doing the harassing see themselves as patriots?

Funny, that's what I wonder about Trump supporters going after reporters after Trump calls them 'enemies of the people'.  And Trump himself harasses anybody he decides is on his 'enemies' list.  Try fixing your own house before you bitch about others.   Trump supporters leave death threat messages, which is worse than a public call out.
