What Did The Oversight Committee’s Hearing With Michael Cohen Accomplish?
Sadly for Democrats, the short answer is: nothing.

Did it change anyone’s mind about anything?
Likely not.
Did the hearing uncover anything that wasn’t or couldn’t have been found out any other way?
Again, the answer is no.
So the question voters ask themselves, and committee members should answer, is:
What did this hearing do to help the person stuck in traffic; those struggling to make car, house and insurance payments; or those needing a raise and hoping for a better education and better future for their kids?
Sadly for Democrats, the short answer is: nothing.
Time will tell if that’s what today’s hearing accomplished.
But those charged with oversight were so blinded by their own prejudice they couldn’t see it coming.

For Democrats the hearing demonstrated that Democrats give credence to liars. While unintended that does explain how someone like Hillary Clinton became the Democratic leader for the 2016 election.
Trump is a braggart and a liar. But everyone knew that before Trump was elected President. The hearing didn't tell the public anything that they did not already know.

There are no excuses for Trump.
Democrats try to avoid acknowledging their role in someone like Trump being elected. 2016 was the worst election ever; the voters were not provided any acceptable choices.
When all the candidates on the ballot are self-centered, self-serving braggarts and liars then it is impossible to avoid someone like Trump becoming President. The alternative would have been no better.
