Assume the Left Lies and You Will Discover the Truth: Reflections on the Trump-Russia Collusion Lie
I regularly acknowledged that I was putting my credibility on the line by stating that it was all a hoax. But how did I know that? After all, I wasn't privy to any confidential intelligence. One answer is I used common sense. The Trump-Russia collusion charge and the Donald-Trump-is-an-agent-of-the-Kremlin charge struck me -- and tens of millions of other Americans -- as absurd. Vladimir Putin's influence on the 2016 election was negligible, and as president, Trump has been harder on Russia...

By Dennis Prager                                                 From the beginning, I repeatedly said the charge that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election was a lie. The president's description of it as a "witch hunt" was accurate.

Vladimir Putin's influence on the 2016 election was negligible, and as president, Trump has been harder on Russia -- in supporting Ukraine's anti-Russian government, in fighting Syria's pro-Russian government and in confronting Iran's pro-Russian regime -- than Barack Obama was.

But the biggest reason I never believed the Russian collusion charge was that the charge emanated from the left. And the left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it.

The left wanted

to invalidate the election and b) the left lies when it is in their interest to do so. So we knew the collusion charge was a fabrication.

We also suspected that the collusion hoax may well have been an effort to divert attention from the real crimes here: American intelligence agencies' being used to spy on a presidential candidate for the first time in American history; getting Clinton off the hook for her illegal use of a private server while secretary of state; her use of that office to enrich herself and her husband; and her destruction of the evidence once her hidden emails were subpoenaed.

If you always doubt a leftist claim, you will almost always be closer to the truth. I employed that rule in concluding the collusion story was a fraud, and it served me well.

Name the issue and you will likely find a left-wing lie. The left claims our universities are saturated by a "culture of rape." Not only is that a lie, but deep down, leftists know it's a lie. The proof? Every left-wing parent who speaks about the "culture of rape" on college campuses sends his or her daughter to college. As no parents would ever send their daughter to an actual rape culture, left-wing parents who send their daughters to college know it is not really a rape culture. They say it is a rape culture solely to buttress the feminist argument that American males are misogynists and to provide young women with the highest status in the left-wing value system: victim.

Although I haven't been a student or taught at a college in many decades, that's how I knew American colleges were not rape cultures. I knew it because the left said they were. Again, just assume the left is lying and you will be close to arriving at the truth.

How do I know there are only two sexes? The most obvious reason is, again, common sense. But the second most powerful reason is the left denies there are only two sexes and claims there is no such thing as sex, only subjective "gender." Last week, a writer for the left-wing magazine The Nation defended the victory of two high school male-bodied trans women who defeated all the female-bodied women in a Connecticut track competition -- because, in his words, "trans women are in fact women."

Now, we all know trans women are not in fact  women, that they are biologically men who regard themselves as women. And in private life, I have no problem treating trans women as women if they look and dress female and take on a female name. But it is completely unjust to have them compete against born females in sports. They are not in fact  women; they consider themselves women despite  the facts. Again, assuming the left is lying to advance its agenda leads one to truth.

When the left tells us the Earth has 12 years left because of global warming, I assume they are not telling the truth. One bit of proof is that almost no one on the global-warming-will-destroy-life left advocates the safest, cheapest and most practical non-fossil-based source of energy: nuclear power. If they really believed life was existentially threatened by fossil-based fuel, they would be building nuclear reactors as fast they could make them. One reason I haven't believed man-made global warming will destroy the Earth is that the left does.

So, while the latest left-wing lie -- Trump-Russia collusion -- is now exposed, there is little to cheer about. Without missing a beat, the left -- the Democratic Party, the media and academia -- will move on to another lie.

And there will be no soul-searching on the part of the media or the rest of the left.

Why won't there be? Because no leftist acknowledges the collusion story was a lie.

Truth has never been a left-wing value. Like "gender," it is whatever you want it to be.

I think anyone who paid attention to the indictments has known from  there was no collusion. Yet the media kept misrepresenting them and the sheer number of indictments as “proof” of collusion without ever looking at their substance.

To finish my thought from last night.

One the one hand you had reality: the substance of Mueller's indictments, the lack of any connection to the allegations in Clinton's dossier, and the telling fact that none of the indicted people were charged with conspiracy with Russia. Establishing a conspiracy existed is the most important thing that any prosecutor would do if he wanted to establish the target was involved in a conspiracy.

Despite the facts staring them in the face, the MSM continued to push the collusion angle on it's gullible audience who wanted to believe the myth rather than reality.Rather then explain the substance of the indictments, supposedly "objective" media essentially claimed the number of indictments somehow meant collusion existed, despite the  glaringly obvious  fact that the indictments had anything to do with collusion.

The MSM peddled what they had to know was a false narrative for years to attack a President they hated and to  keep their viewers engaged. It's a media scandal as much as anything.

And all the media that peddled this crap all this time need to be rated questionable for fake news and propaganda. That is what they all are.

Did Dennis Prager, who wants to act as the country's moral light, condemn Trump for standing at a podium in front of the nation's media and calling for our long time geopolitical and ideological enemy Russia to steal his political opponent's private information, for Trump's benefit?

I don't think Prager did, or has since, condemned Trump for that immoral act.

For that matter, this article is about lying. If Prager were concerned about lying he would condemn Trump on a mostly constant basis, as well as countless other "conservatives".

Praeger is not that concerned with lying. He is simply an ideologue based on religion.

trump was being facetious john.

look it up:   facetious - ADJECTIVE

treating serious issues with deliberately inappropriate humor; flippant.
(this is not a crime but it was funny)
Dennis Prager, who wants to act as the country's moral light,
when it comes to judging morality, the left does not have a leg to stand on.

Whether one is Jewish or African American or Hispanic or Asian American or female the vitriol from the secular progressives toward them if they dare to be conservative is even harsher than what they direct at us white men who are.

humans mocking and ostracizing the willfully ignorant, while exploiting and victimizing those that can't or won't evolve, is older than religion, with the latter being the business model of some religions.

Well, if you took all the lies and the fantasy world rumors and gossip away, the vast majority of the right would have absolutely nothing left to say.

trump borrowed money from "Russian businessmen" and that's one hook. Since trump is basically dishonest and always looking for ways to get around laws, he laundered a few bucks for Russian Businesses (stupid bank rules) as a favor, that's two hooks. Did trump (to be blunt) get a few golden showers? well, he's dumb and arrogant enough. That's three.

But let's cut him some slack, and say two hooks. Putin looked at trump like a fatty looks at a cupcake, and had a dream, how can he get this brainless sucker with hooks in his mouth into the office of President? Worth getting exposed that he could do it to get trump the nearest strong man's puppet in charge of a country he wants to weaken or destroy.

Clinton, who loves power, money and corporations would be much harder to handle then trump, and Putin said he was glad when trump came to power.

Of course, Putin would never DREAM of manipulating a soft-brain like trump even if it is in the Stalin hand book for conquest. As ex-KGB, he wouldn't dream of using such underhanded tactics, and he's never done anything wrong in his whole life. Why, he's as pure as trump is, anytime.

What's so bad? trump has fought to remove any penalties for Russia or it's businessmen/operatives. Even if Congress manages to put a penalty out, trump reverses it.

He does that for N.K. too, because trump bases his decisions on his GUT now.

LOL That's not new, he's always ruled by whim anyway.

I have a theory, but the Enquirer would buy it and spike it. trump should have been born a woman, the type that get so weak in the knees when in the presence of REAL MEN OF WEALTH AND POWER!!!!!

He loses it when he's with Putin, get's so quiet and polite, and ready to take Putin's word for everything. We should be good friends with mother Russia and never mind 50 years or so of a cold war. But hey, trump and Putin want to heat the cold war back up. Remember the missile limiting treaty trump didn't sign? Duck and cover is a-commin' back.

He was holding hands and practically skipping down the hall to show the French President his "stuff" but that was just a summer crush, he didn't rule in the "strong man" fashion that loosens trump's thighs.

trump has a big crush on the Philippines' "strongman" but trump already has his hands full.

Of course, he proclaims his luv for N.K. (the people are so happy and productive and love Un SO much.)

I was wrong, trump isn't a woman. he should have been a 12 yr old girl.

And our military build up?  The increase in strategic defense funding? The space force? The sending of actual weapons to the government of Ukraine? The energy issue and driving the price of oil lower depriving them of export revenues and the export of coal and liquified natural gas to nations once dependent on Russia for energy?  The strong support for Poland, the Baltic States, Czech Republic, and Hungary?
