He must have forgot to wear his mask that day. Hopefully hydroxychloroquine will spare him from the worst effects of the illness.

I guess you didn't wait long enough to see his reasoning, he felt that if it weren't for the mask he wouldn't be placing his non-sterilized hands close to his face all the time to adjust his mask, in turn contaminating his mask which is always in close proximity to his nose, mouth, and eyes. I've noticed this myself in the store I keep making sure the mask is on right and adjusting it after I have handled things in the store that, no doubt, others have handled without even thinking about it.
As for him transmitting it, he is asymptomatic, therefore, he is not coughing or sneezing and his nose isn't running or eyes watering so has little chance of spreading it and who knows how long he has had it or where he got it.
I hope he doesn't eventually succumb to the disease.
