Kellyanne Conway to leave White House at end of month

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway will depart her position in the Trump administration at the end of the month to focus on family matters, she said in a statement late Sunday.

"This is completely my choice and my voice," Conway said. "In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama."

Conway has been a close adviser to the president dating back to the 2016 campaign. She was the first woman to mange a victorious presidential campaign after she took the reins late in the 2016 cycle, and she has served in her White House role since the beginning of the administration.

Conway's husband, George, separately wrote on Twitter that he would be leaving his role with the Lincoln Project, a group of anti-Trump Republicans, for similar reasons.

The conflict between the Conways - he an outspoken Trump critic and she one of his most ardent and visible defenders - has prompted social media speculation about their marriage, with President Trump even lambasting George as a "loser." Their daughter, Claudia, also gained social media notoriety in recent weeks for TikTok and Twitter posts swiping at the president and referencing the clashing views of her parents.

"We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids," Kellyanne Conway said in her statement. "Our four children are teens and 'tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids 'doing school from home' requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times."

Conway called her time in the White House "heady" and "humbling." She thanked Trump, first lady Melania Trump, Vice President Pence and second lady Karen Pence, and offered praise for their work during the administration's first term.

Conway is expected to speak this week at the Republican National Convention.

In addition to being one of Trump's longest tenured advisers in a White House known for staffing changes, Conway also established herself as one of his most visible aides.

Her regular television appearances exasperated ethics watchdogs, frustrated administration critics and pleased administration officials who viewed her as an effective messenger. Conway also frequently took questions from reporters, including during a year-long stretch where the White House did not hold any press briefings.

Conway defended Trump through some of his most controversial and difficult moments, and she was often criticized for muddying the truth or offering misleading answers in interviews. Shortly after Trump's inauguration, Conway defended then-press secretary Sean Spicer's inaccurate declaration about the crowd size by saying he was providing "alternative facts." The phrase later topped a year-end list of notable quotes.

She was also one of the most egregious violators of the Hatch Act, which prohibits executive branch officials from using their official positions for campaigning. The Office of Special Counsel last year recommended Trump fire Conway for repeated violations of the act, citing her comments on a 2017 special U.S. Senate election in Alabama and the 2020 presidential elections.

Conway denied wrongdoing and later defied a congressional subpoena to testify about the issue.

I'm with you Sister. After all this time and she just now decides that her children need to come first? I m sure it has to do with her 15 y/o daughter seeking emancipation and making it public now. Of course the authorities are going to be looking at it, both of her parents, but especially, the Mother, since she is the main one that the young girl is complaining the most about.

Oh yeah....it was her idea to leave. But, likely Trump did a bit of prodding, as he does not want any negative publicity in his court. "Less drama and more mama". Wonder why that just suddenly came to her mind at this point. However, after all her lies she has told to cover Trump and to try and fool the American people for him, it's a bit late to suddenly think about how it has all affected her children.

I have a feeling that there is much more to it than her suddenly start to worry about her kids. And she can bet that it will not go away easily. And she has no one but herself to blame.

I guess he figure it will be better for him to leave on his own decision that to be fired or shown the door. When there are innocent minor children involved, with one seeking emancipation, this is not a simple thing indeed.

I think the state Child Protective Services (CPS) will likely get involved as well, since Claudia's complaint seems to involve neglect and emotional duress.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out, and how Trump throws her under the bus.

But, now that Trump has that sweet little thing as his new liar and cover up mouth piece, there is no need for Kellyanne now. She is just extra baggage that he doesn't need anymore. And now that she has become the one that is getting most of the lime light in the WH, which has got to rub Trump's ass raw, he has got to get rid of her, and fast.

Trump probably will wish Kellyanne well on her sent-off. Last week, there was a solitary (no fanfare) loose messaging about Donald changing his full staff if he gets a second term, anyway. Wonder what that planned strip of modified hell can look like!

Just Desserts for Kellyanne. Her husband has been signaling for years that he is not one of them (that 'crowd' she hangs with); now Kellyanne looks not only like a piece of lukewarm crap possibly to her husband, but to the issue from her womb as well!

Piss poor career choice! Should have chosen family over. Should have kissed "hubby" and "babies" over and above the Conniver boss!

Well Kellyanne, all power is not good power. And, money can't buy you proper love.

I don't know that he would have been forced out.  He is one of their more visible members, and whatever his politics in general, the Lincoln Project makes him look pretty moderate and intelligent.

But it's best for his family if he's home more, and in the spotlight less.

If they both had really cared bout their children long ago, perhaps their children would not have suffered mentally and emotionally as they have, and their daughter would not want to be emancipated from her parents. But, fame and fortune were much more important and they came first before their children.

I just hope it is not too late for Claudia, as she is still determined to file for emancipation even if they both quit and stay home now. And I hope that Kellyanne will not put the blame on Claudia for her having to leave her dream job and make her feel guilty for making their family problems public.

I also don't think that the parents will stay together very long now either. It is said that they fight all the time when they are together as it is, and spending even more time together it may be even worse. That will not be good environment for the children either.

@6 below. Claudia does not like her parents politics, full stop. She went so far as to state she wants to be adopted by another woman: AOC. That speaks volumes.

As for Ms.'Anne' I don't feel nothing for her in my spirit. She is as cut throat in her delivery as Donald Trump. A kindred spirit with Donald. He and she used each other and the nation to shape this, that we are experiencing now (to our shame for letting them). Good riddance. Like Hope Hicks and Nicky Haley are satellites 'remotely' orbiting Donald he is dispatching "Ms. 'Anne" to coordinates in Trump space!

Whatever "Ms 'Anne" has coming. . .I am good, bad, and indifferent to.

I am sure that must have pissed her Mother off royally, as Kellyanne hates AOC, as does Trump. So the idea of her own daughter wanting to be adopted by AOC has to really chap Kellyanne's cheeks.

And she had the gall to refer to her children that she spent so much of her time away from in order to promote her own career, her "beloved children". I almost threw up when I read that part. Interesting how all of a sudden they are now her "beloved children" trying to act very contrite now that her daughter has turned the spotlight on her, and she is trying to look like the very loving Mother who now cares about her kids, how they feel, what they think, what they need, when it is clear by now that she has more important things to do with her time. So now, hoping to pour water on the fire storm her daughter has brought to the fore, she is acting like a real concerned Mother, and trying to play like she is like all other Mothers and their issues with their children during the COVID-19.

But, what about the past four years when there was no COVID-19? Didn't they need her then too?

I hope the children will now find real love and attention they need and want. However, it may not come from their Mother.

Not if "Ms. 'Anne" continues to practice "combat" with her family and keep them "professionally" distanced. This resembles rebellion which took place in the 60's when young people staged the hippie movement and wanted to get far away from their all-consuming financially successful, but emotionally empty (or worse) parents!

I truly hope I am wrong, for the children's sake, but, Kellyanne just does not look, sound or act like a woman who truly cares about her children.

And yes, I was in on the '60's, but, I never disliked my parents, or felt like I knew a lot more than they did. I totally respected my Mother and Father, and I would never think of being disrespectful to either of them. They did their best to provide for me, although material things never interested me that much.

That is why I feel so sorry for Claudia and her siblings who have obviously not had that kind of love and attention for their parents. Their work and politics have always come first, and their own careers took priority.

So I can see why Claudia has reacted as she has. She is tired of feeling second, or third, to what her parents wanted first.

I can only hope that the children will find their place in the world, and find someone who will put them first for a change, and not use them as pawns for political games.

I totally agree. If he didn't want to be a loving and full time Father, he should have not had kids. And the same for Kellyanne. Both just do not seem to want to devote the necessary time and attention to their children that is required to be parents.

Dad once introduced me to Charles and David Koch back in the 80s thinking it would be a thrill for me. At that point I was an environmentalist and Arnis practitioner and couldn't decide what to do. Seriously considered drawing my blade and ending them both. Just shook my head, ignored their hands and walked away instead. Still regret missing that window of opportunity. Conway denied wrongdoing and later defied a congressional subpoena to testify about the issue.

I read briefly today somewhere that her 15 year old daughter wants to be emancipated. Kelly got "mama issues." Just desserts. She held on to the third rail that is Donald for far too long. And just between you and me, "hubby" may not be long for this relationship either way. It takes a special kind of brain to "library and catalog" all of Donald's crap inside it!

Defying a congressional subpoena? Yeah, don't let the door knob hit you where evolution split you, Kellyanne!

Kellyanne Conway said she would be leaving her White House role at the end of August to focus on her family.

“In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama,” she wrote.

Claudia Conway asks AOC to ‘adopt’ her in epic return to Twitter

Claudia, who has been bashing her folks for their conservative views , said in a tweet Saturday that she was “officially pushing for emancipation.”

“Buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. Welcome to my life,” wrote Claudia, who has dubbed herself a “radical agnostic liberal/leftist.”

In a tweet, she said she and her dad “agree on absolutely nothing” politically.

“We just both happen to have common sense when it comes to our current president. Stop ‘stanning’ him,” she wrote, using a term referring to someone who admires someone or something to the point of obsession.

She added that her mother was “selfish” for pursuing her line of work.

“My mother’s job ruined my life to begin with,” she wrote.

The Conways share four kids together — twins Claudia and George IV, and younger sisters Charlotte and Vanessa .

Did you see the picture of her in the black bathing suit with the slash floss?  It was a total eye bleach moment.

I saw Kellyanne on the RNC last night. She almost looked halfway attractive. Announcing she is leaving the white house seems to have taken a load off her mind. Within a year or two she will write a book saying she was forced against her will , psychologically, to lie for Trump.

No, she won't say she was forced!

Ms "Anne" is all-in up to her hair extensions!! Remember Hope Hicks? She is baacckkk! Nicki Haley baacccckkkk! Some of these people simply "reiterate." And never ever repent. These women are conservative soldiers in it for the political gore!

KellyAnne Conway is a permanent resident of Trump "properties." Thus, I don't know how she and her husband will cope in their conservative standard marriage for life. Just my opinion of her.

I will never forget hearing Tom Brokaw (former NBC News Anchor) say, "KellyAnne, she can talk the legs off a table."

I had stated in another seed that her daughter should take some time to consider emancipation.  Now I say do it girl and get as far away as you can.  KAC knows how much her daughter hates her allegiance to Trump which is part of the reason she wants to emancipate, yet decides to speak at the RNC, essentially slapping the daughter in the face.
