Joe Biden gave an outstanding speech yesterday at Gettysburg, appealing to the best of our nation. If you did not have a chance to hear it, it is well-worth a listen.
The spine check of Republican legislators has already been completed. They proved they are worthless and wouldn't stand up for the constitution which is why they are going to lose bigly this November. Have fun whining about the Democrat controlled Senate, Democrat controlled House and Democrat controlled White House. America will finally get back on track after being derailed by white supremacists and complete fucking morons who bow down to a mentally impaired serial adulterer and sexual predator clown.
It is interesting, though, that the two men can give basically the same speech, but politicians and the media make wild claims about divisiveness and dead traitors for the one speaker, but call the other a great, unifying speech.
I'm not interested because it's not the topic I was discussing.
Yes I know. Your comments prove that you are much more interested in talking about and defending the content of Sean's irrelevant off topic comment than about the content of Biden's speech.

It's LITERALLY the opening comment to the thread. So sue me for being on-topic.
If you want a thread where I talk about Biden's speech, maybe you should make the giant effort of scrolling down a little to comment @6 where I actually started a thread about the speech.
Or you could start a thread about the speech and see if anyone cares to respond.
At his rallies, Trump rambles. It's like stream of consciousness. It's a mess. I can't watch or listen.
But his Rushmore speech was actually pretty good, and the accusations related to the content were straight up lies. Any other president could have given that speech and it would have been praised.

Seriously are you implying that Trump didn't ramble during his Mt. Rushmore speech? Are you claiming that 'any other president' would have been praised for asking if the audience thinks he should be on Mt. Rushmore?
You claimed that the speeches were basically the same. Perhaps you can point out where in Biden's speech he said ANYTHING like this;
"Our nation is witnessing a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children."
Or this:
"This left-wing cultural revolution is designed to overthrow the American Revolution."
Or this:
"In our schools, our newsrooms, even our corporate boardrooms, there is a new far left fascism that demands absolute allegiance."
Or this:
"Their goal is not a better America. Their goal is to end America."
[Deleted] From now on, use the F word on me or use one of your abbreviated versions of it, and we're done talking. I don't think I should have to put up with that, so I won't anymore. Have a nice day.
I'm thinking a) you might be off topic, b) you misunderstood my comment, c) you're unnecessarily looking to pick a fight with me, or d) all of the above. In all cases, I'm not interested. Have a nice day.
It's a good speech, but it's one any number of politicians have made. It will be interesting if 1) he will try to follow through on it, and 2) if his party will allow him to follow through on it.
In total contrast to his opposition, Biden's speech is an appeal to unity and bipartisanship.
It was an appeal to Americanism in contrast to Trumpism.
Dump Trump and the spineless Republicans who continue to support him.
Build Back Better with Biden.

I'm sure you have heard the saying about a broken clock. Lame with speeches.
Many are remarking that this is the best speech Biden has ever given.
A friend texted me this morning: Trump viewed Biden's address from Gettysburg. Changed his vote to undecided...
that earned a snort and a giggle
I wonder which west wing bimbo explained Joe's speech to trump.
After four years of Trumpism, Biden's speech at Gettysburg seemed almost alien, not of this country.
I watched the speech, was impressed, but the lingering underbelly of the thirty something per cent gives cause for concern.
He spent all his time talking about dead traitors. His priorities are all wrong.
Uh no. How on a goose feather lying down by the pond did you arrive at that?
Name the 'dead traitors' Biden talked about.
That's a reference to what Senator Duckworth said about Trump at Mount Rushmore , but she could not name the dead traitors and anyone who heard the speech or read it knows she was lying.
So it was not only off topic, it was irrelevant. Thanks for clarifying Sean's comment for him.
It is interesting, though, that the two men can give basically the same speech, but politicians and the media make wild claims about divisiveness and dead traitors for the one speaker, but call the other a great, unifying speech.
The Tiki Torch folk at Charlottesville were not dead. Did you think they were ghosts from the past?
That has no connection to what we were talking about.
Seriously Tacos!, you're better than that. Those speeches were the antithesis of one another and you know it.
False.
We are talking about Biden's speech and he talked about Charlottesville in it.
Whooosh
We are talking about Biden's speech and Trump's Mt. Rushmore speech.
We're not talking about Charlottesville.
Biden spoke about Charlottesville, did he not?
Why yes, YES he did.
So making a comment about it is fair game.
Please stop pretending that it's not.
Oh and the ONLY reason Trump's speech is even mentioned is because of Sean's off topic irrelevant comment.
Biden's mention of Charlottesville has no connection to what we are talking about, which is based on the comment in @4, which I explained in @4.2.1.
You are free to talk about it with someone else. I'm not interested because it's not the topic I was discussing.

That's because one candidate delivers the speech with grace, lucidity, and stays on target.
The other is babbling mass of greasy grimy gopher guts

With all the lies the 'president' has told, it's so confusing, which ones were 'straight up' or 'out and out' or 'outright'?
What were the 'straight up' lies told about the 'presidents' 'rally' at Mt. Rushmore?
See @4 and @4.2.1
So no answer then. Got it.
I don't think you answer to her.
lol!
Wait WHAT?
That was YOU right?
So why the fuck would I have to go to another thread to talk about what YOU said we were already talking about?

I will post exactly how I wish and take any consequences. THAT'S what adults do.
Your opinion is duly noted.
Thank you.
Comments have been removed from this thread for no value. The topic is Joe Biden, not each other.
What's your excuse for ignoring my 4.4.23 post? No 'harsh words' in that one Tacos.
Name the 'dead traitors' Biden talked about.

to a massive crowd of 10's of people.
first clue: joes campaign seriously lacks enthusiasm
First clue, following the CDC guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing even at an outside venue.
BTW, your avatar is distracting.../s
second clue.
that lack of enthusiasm / social distancing for joe will be reflected in the polls on election day.
armageddon and 7 plagues at once could not keep trump supporters away from the polls.
No need to wait, the enthusiasm for Joe is evident by the long socially distanced lines for early voting.
Yet Trump's supporters aren't the majority. That's how this shit works.
as you may have noticed in 2016 the national majority does not matter in a presidential election.
how do you know who they vote for?
I watch what the Republicans oppose and deduce that THEY'RE sure the early voting isn't good for them.
okay... LOL
good luck with that.
