Joe Biden Remarks in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

Joe Biden gave an outstanding speech yesterday at Gettysburg, appealing to the best of our nation.  If you did not have a chance to hear it, it is well-worth a listen.

In total contrast to his opposition, Biden's speech is an appeal to unity and bipartisanship.

Biden's speech is an appeal to unity and bipartisanship

It was an appeal to Americanism in contrast to Trumpism.

Dump Trump and the spineless Republicans who continue to support him.

Build Back Better with Biden.

You want to do a spine check come on with it.

The spine check of Republican legislators has already been completed. They proved they are worthless and wouldn't stand up for the constitution which is why they are going to lose bigly this November. Have fun whining about the Democrat controlled Senate, Democrat controlled House and Democrat controlled White House. America will finally get back on track after being derailed by white supremacists and complete fucking morons who bow down to a mentally impaired serial adulterer and sexual predator clown.

Many are remarking that this is the best speech Biden has ever given.

A friend texted me this morning:  Trump viewed Biden's address from Gettysburg.  Changed his vote to undecided...

After four years of Trumpism, Biden's speech at Gettysburg seemed almost alien, not of this country.

I watched the speech, was impressed, but the lingering underbelly of the thirty something per cent gives cause for concern.

That's a reference to what Senator Duckworth said about Trump at Mount Rushmore , but she could not name the dead traitors and anyone who heard the speech or read it knows she was lying.

It is interesting, though, that the two men can give basically the same speech, but politicians and the media make wild claims about divisiveness and dead traitors for the one speaker, but call the other a great, unifying speech.

Biden spoke about Charlottesville, did he not?

Why yes, YES he did.

So making a comment about it is fair game.

Please stop pretending that it's not.

Oh and the ONLY reason Trump's speech is even mentioned is because of Sean's off topic irrelevant comment.

Biden's mention of Charlottesville has no connection to what we are talking about, which is based on the comment in @4, which I explained in @4.2.1.

So making a comment about it is fair game.

You are free to talk about it with someone else. I'm not interested because it's not the topic I was discussing.

It's LITERALLY the opening comment to the thread. So sue me for being on-topic.

If you want a thread where I talk about Biden's speech, maybe you should make the giant effort of scrolling down a little to comment @6 where I actually started a thread about the speech.

Or you could start a thread about the speech and see if anyone cares to respond.

At his rallies, Trump rambles. It's like stream of consciousness. It's a mess. I can't watch or listen.

But his Rushmore speech was actually pretty good, and the accusations related to the content were straight up lies. Any other president could have given that speech and it would have been praised.

With all the lies the 'president' has told, it's so confusing, which ones were 'straight up' or 'out and out' or 'outright'?

What were the 'straight up' lies told about the 'presidents' 'rally' at Mt. Rushmore?

Seriously are you implying that Trump didn't ramble during his Mt. Rushmore speech? Are you claiming that 'any other president' would have been praised for asking if the audience thinks he should be on Mt. Rushmore?

You claimed that the speeches were basically the same. Perhaps you can point out where in Biden's speech he said ANYTHING like this;

"Our nation is witnessing a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children."

Or this:

"This left-wing cultural revolution is designed to overthrow the American Revolution."

Or this:

"In our schools, our newsrooms, even our corporate boardrooms, there is a new far left fascism that demands absolute allegiance."

Or this:

"Their goal is not a better America. Their goal is to end America."

It's a good speech, but it's one any number of politicians have made. It will be interesting if 1) he will try to follow through on it, and 2) if his party will allow him to follow through on it.

No need to wait, the enthusiasm for Joe is evident by the long socially distanced lines for early voting.

armageddon and 7 plagues at once could not keep trump supporters away from the polls.

Yet Trump's supporters aren't the majority. That's how this shit works.
