When I first heard of the New York Post, I had assumed it was a leftist publication-- because obviously New York is a very liberal place. But in fact the opposite is true--- its very right wing, and supports the election of right-wing candidates...including Donald Trump.
Their confronting him like this is quite unusual. I wonder what he will do about it?

The Post says: Give it up, Mr. President — for your sake and the nation’s
Mr. President, it’s time to end this dark charade.
We’re one week away from an enormously important moment for the next four years of our country. On Jan. 5, two runoff races in Georgia will determine which party will control the Senate — whether Joe Biden will have a rubber stamp or a much-needed check on his agenda.
Unfortunately, you’re obsessed with the next day, Jan. 6, when Congress will, in a pro forma action, certify the Electoral College vote. You have tweeted that, as long as Republicans have “courage,” they can overturn the results and give you four more years in office.
In other words, you’re cheering for an undemocratic coup.
You had every right to investigate the election. But let’s be clear: Those efforts have found nothing.
To take just two examples: Your campaign paid $3 million for a recount in two Wisconsin counties, and you lost by 87 more votes.
Georgia did two recounts of the state, each time affirming Biden’s win. These ballots were counted by hand, which alone debunks the claims of a Venezuelan vote-manipulating Kraken conspiracy.
Sidney Powell is a crazy person. Michael Flynn suggesting martial law is tantamount to treason. It is shameful.

What a FRCKN LOSER
Please do not insult FRCKN LOSERS by comparing them to Trump!
And the NY Post is owned by Rupert Murdoch, the same Rupert Murdoch that ownes Fox News the outlet that Trump has been attacking.
Is the honeymoon over?
BTW, the Post hit it on the head.
Even if they hit it squarely on the head with a pile-driver, I don't think it will get through to Trumpists....
No it won't. Our reps (all republican) put out several tweets about the bills just passed and they got comment after comment of idiots saying that they need to stand by donald and how dare they go against him.
Unfricking believable how these morons actually worship the piece of shit.
I never thought I would see educated Americans whose brains were locked in concrete, but my God, they are here.
Stopped.
Clock.
Right twice a day!
Now we have Rep Gomert and a few others suing the VP to try to over turn the election.
This is a convoluted gambit to put Mike Pence in a teeny-tiny corner, obliged to support Trump's nonsense.
Gomert is not smart enough to set this up. So... who is Gomert working for?
I hereby nominate the esteemed Representative Louie Gomert for the title of dumbist member of Congress!
(Well, OK-- I admit he does a have a lot of competition for that title!)
Which brings to mind a famous quote from Samuel Langhorne Clemens:
Suppose I was a member of Congress. And suppose I was an idiot. But I repeat myself.
The Post is Rupert Murdoch's private toy. Everyone knows this.
So this editorial is like Rupert using a bull-horn in front of the White House.
Does anyone suppose that even Rupert Murdoch can calm Donald's rage?
Does anyone suppose that even Rupert Murdoch can calm Donald's rage?
No one can.
And even beyond that sort of insanity-- if someone tries-- even his most loyal supporters-- he turns on them! (See comment # 1. 1. 7 )
Sorry NYP, his legacy is pure shit and not worth saving.
I totally agree. But remember-- the NYP is very Republican and very Right-wing-- so they do have to be a bit careful not to alienate all their readers, LOL!
But the good news is-- there's a definite trend. While some of his cult members will still worship him as a diety-- regardless of what actual facts emerge-- more and more of his supporters are starting to wake up. And are realizing how he's harming the Republican Party!
(The editors of the NYPost being but one example)
Murdoch is less interested in readers than in investors.
