Songs from across the pond - 60's and 70's.
TIRED OF WAITING FOR YOU - The Kinks
TELL HER NO - The Zombies
PAY YOU BACK WITH INTEREST - The Hollies
YOU'RE MY WORLD - Cilla Black
BECAUSE - Dave Clark Five
ALL MY LOVING - The Beatles
My first big gig was with Paul Revere and the Raiders at a shopping mall in Topeka Kansas.
We all wondered just what the hell we were doing there.
Ended up playing Motown bass and found myself.
I wore out a 45 of Bus Stop.
The Hollies were great. I especially like Carrie-Anne and On A Carousel.
Herman's Hermits : I'm Henry the Eighth I Am or There's A Kind Of Hush.
Also:
I'm Into Something Good, Can't You Hear My Heartbeat, Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, No Milk Today and my favorite, Listen People. All wonderful songs.
Herman's Hermits, truly a great group.
I think that's something we can agree on.
My thanks John.
I'm not John, but you're welcome.
Sorry. Hit the wrong post.
HENRY THE VIII I AM - Herman's Hermits
THERE'S A KIND OF A HUSH - Herman's Hermits
SILHOUETTES - Herman's Hermits
I ONLY WANT TO BE WITH YOU - Dusty Springfield
IT'S NOT UNUSUAL - Tom Jones
DON'T THROW YOUR LOVE AWAY - The Searchers
HAVE I THE RIGHT - The Honeycombs
Love The Who. I was so jealous. My daughter got to see The Who here in MI; my ex took her to see them.
Catch the Wind - Donovan
bilibili
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton
While My Guitar Gently Weeps - George Harrison / The Beatles
One of my favorites from The Rolling Stones.
It does not get better than this. Magnificent songs, magnificent singer. Absolutely the greatest!
The Moody Blues: Nights in White Satin (1967)
And while I know that it wasn't during the "British Invasion" of the 60s, still one of my faves from The Moody Blues: Question! (1970)
Joan Armatrading is a great artist.
Tears for Fears seriously tripped my trigger with Mad World.
Was that 60-70's? Anyway, yeah. Mine too. And "Shout!"
all though technically not released in the states till a couple months post 60's , written and recorded in the 60's, so i'm going with it
