Welcome to Pakistan, colony of the People's Republic of China

Imran Khan is the nominal prime minister of Pakistan. In reality, he's Xi Jinping's thinly veiled viceroy.

Pakistan presents itself as a great beacon of Islamic democracy and morality. It's actually just a Chinese fiefdom. The measure of Islamabad's political submission to Beijing is quite extraordinary.

Evincing as much, in a last-minute announcement on Wednesday, Pakistan announced that it would not participate in the U.S. democracy summit, which began on Thursday and is designed to align global democracies in support of human freedom. Islamabad, however, got the message from Beijing that it shouldn't attend. The demand put Pakistan in a tough position, risking alienating the Biden administration at a moment when Khan wants to improve relations.

Communist China has different objectives. The regime of Xi is deeply upset about the democracy summit. Its laughable claims of being a democracy aside, Beijing knows that the summit centers unwanted attention on the distinction between the democratic rule of law and its own global hegemonic ambitions . But Khan knows who is boss. Canceling Pakistan's attendance, the pet earned his pat. Removing his "wolf warrior" clothes for just a minute, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian declared that Pakistan's summit withdrawal proved it was China's "iron brother."

Still, the democracy summit antics are only the latest example of Pakistan's reincarnation as a Chinese colony. Most notable, here, is Pakistan's response to what China is doing to its Uyghur Muslim population.

The Chinese Communist Party has thrown at least one million (and likely 1.5-2 million) innocent Muslims into a vast network of concentration camps that litter its northwestern Xinjiang province. From there, these victims have been stripped of their religious and cultural identity, raped, forcibly sterilized, and then deployed as slave-like labor. Even if multinational corporations like confectionary giant Mars are blinded by Chinese gold, what is happening in Xinjiang is clearly a genocide .

Pakistan, however, sees no Chinese Communist evil.

In June, Khan was asked by Axios's Jonathan Swan why he was so outspoken on Islamophobia but so quiet on the Uyghur genocide. A noticeably uncomfortable Khan responded that he is focused on internal concerns.

Again, it's just one more example of Pakistan's poodle policy toward China. Last October, Pakistan's U.N. delegation actually allowed the Chinese delegation to write a statement for them defending China's human rights record. The Pakistani diplomats then read out that statement as if they were actually Chinese diplomats. There's a broader issue here. Other Muslim governments play the same game when it comes to ignoring China's genocide. The United Arab Emirates , Bashar al Assad's Syria , and the Taliban are notable examples.

Regardless, the world should now be clear: When it comes to Imran Khan's Pakistan, if it's a choice between China's interests and those of the Ummah (global Islamic community), the Ummah can go to hell.

Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan will be used by China to counter Israel and India in their anti democracy pact in that part of the world.

But why? Why would predominantly Muslim countries allow themselves to be manipulated by a nation practicing that level of religious persecution?

Money and regional power. While the US might be the top super power militarily- China still holds sway over it's neck of the woods. Which means that Afghanistan and Pakistan want to stay on China's good side.  Iran sides with China because it is staunchly anti US; anti Sunni; and anti Israel- which sets it against US allies in the region.

Morning..yes thought there may have been a glimmer of hope for Pakistan when he took over..

Gone from one the world's greatest Cricket players to the usual hardline, backwater thinking dark ages leader..

No wonder his wife divorced him and raised their kids in Britain..

He could have done so much but just like all pollies to busy with his snout in the trough...

Has anyone been watching what China has done and is doing in South American/Africa/Eastern Balkans/ South Pacific and yesterday in Central American?

China is pursuing it's diplomacy based upon the old way of China... Get them owing you before you state the actual costs... Much like making them an offer they can't refuse... They don't care if the government is corrupt, they find out what the government wants and provides it for small beans today, large beans tomorrow...

And if they can't do it with the national government, they do it with the smaller governments of provinces cities and towns... Mostly right now to get them to drop their support for (and eventually recognition) of Taipei as "China"... There is no question that China is trying to isolate Taipei.... And stick a thorn in our side in the process all around the world...

Nicaragua yesterday did exactly that...

Anoon nowhere...ahhh yes..they just had riots in the Solomon Isands about its government and China...couple of Chinese citizens were killed and many Chinese business were burnt down.

The government there just changed their alligance from Taiwan to China after 40 odd years and most people are not happy about that..

Maybe China should have sent its spy ship there to evacuate it's citizens instead of lurking around our coast line for three weeks.

Us, Fiji and New Zealand just sent in peace keepers to calm things down and restore order. You are welcome China as we all protected your citizens...

Alot of infrastructure has been destroyed as well.

It is not the first time this has happened and the Chinese were targeted then to and there was a mass exodus back to China...

Many islanders dislike the Chinese any sign of trouble they are the first to cop it and appears they are resented a great deal...

"Islamabad, however, got the message from Beijing that it shouldn't attend.  The demand...."

The DEMAND???  Just curious, was there a source that proves that Beijing made such a demand upon Pakistan, because otherwise that is nothing but conjecture?

Interesting to me is that there is no comment about the democracies that Biden DIDN'T invite, and how THEY felt about the snub, sort of the antithesis of the seed.

Oh wait, it's the Washington Examiner, an extreme right wing publication that has been hypnotized by Adrian Zenz.  jrSmiley_10_smiley_image.gif

We all should know how it really works.  A comment specifically pointed at a member, using the word "you", can be considered a CoC offence, whereas a general statement of a person making the statement pointed at himself using the word "I" but not "you" is not pointing the statement at another member.

Evening Buzz...err... am I trouble when I refer to things as "you mob"??

Apologise if I am but it is a figure of speech here and habits are hard to break..

Pakistan shares a 347 mile border with China, so perhaps Pakistan might not feel comfortable about displeasing its much more powerful neighbour.  Just as, I imagine Canada remains respectful of the USA.

Not likely to happen.  The only war between Canada and the USA was won more than two centuries ago, and Canada won it - even set fire to the White House, which was admitted by the tour guide when I toured the White House.

Well To be completely truthful, Canada was a place not a nation back then... and by pure luck and unfortunate circumstance remained territory of Great Britain and subject to the crown... In the prior war 20 years earlier... (do you have a problem remembering that?)

There never has been a war between Canada and the US.... Prove to me otherwise PLEASE.....

Never happen my friend, the defense treaty between the two nations allows the military forces of each to openly cross the border anytime they need to without having to ask permission... Canada knows that it's defense is inextricably tied to the defense of the US...

If the US and Canada ever went at it- the war would be over as fast as US could move troops throughout Canada.

Of course it is never going to happen. Canada isn't going to piss off it's only real defense; and the US can barely govern itself these days. Trying to control all of Canada and make sure it stays viable would tax our divided government to the point of breaking.
