Field Trip
“The new majority in Congress, we’re gonna fight to fix this problem. No longer will the Democrats be able to ignore the issue and act like it’s not happening,” McCarthy said. “We will have hearings on the border. It’s the responsibility of all members to attend. Those who come to testify will come from both sides of the aisle.

Link to Quote:  House Republicans turn southern border into second campus | The Hill

The House Judiciary Committee held its first hearing on the border crisis yesterday.  One of several that various House committees will be holding at the wide-open southern border. Yesterday's hearing was held at the Yuma, Ariz., city hall. None of the democrat members of the committee attended. This hearing was called "The Border Crisis: part 2. Earlier this month the Committee held a hearing called “Biden’s Border Crisis-Part One,” took a brief look at the lack of border security, the loss of national security, and the impact of fentanyl on Americans.

Local hospitals have been overwhelmed:

"Migrant patients are overwhelming a border town's sole hospital, straining medical resources and placing the facility on the brink of collapse without sufficient funding to accommodate the influx of people.

Dr. Robert Transchel, the president and CEO of Yuma, Arizona's Yuma Regional Medical Center, told co-hsot Rachel Campos-Duffy Sunday on " Fox & Friends Weekend " that the problem is nothing new.

"It's been a long journey," he said. "We've been at this for well over a year now. We tracked our uncompensated care for a period of over six months, and we calculated that we've provided over $20 million in uncompensated care to the migrants crossing the border."

Arizona hospital on brink of collapse after spending $20 million on migrant care: 'Nobody has a solution' | Fox News

Some voiced their approval of the Committee holding the hearings on the border:

“It’s really common sense. It’s what leaders do. They go to the heart of the crisis, whether it’s a hurricane or tornado, a terrorist attack, it doesn’t matter,”   Mark Morgan,   the former chief operating officer and acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection during the Trump administration, told The Hill. “When you physically see it up close and personal, it changes your understanding. It changes your perspective.”

For those who missed it:

The democrats once again showed disrespect for the people who live on the border and like Joe Biden a complete disregard for many Americans. The dishonest, leftist American media barely covered the border hearing in Yuma Arizona. The very same media that promoted the Jan 6th Committee Hearings.

The Week:

Covid Mandates  :   A new study from the Mercatus Center at George Mason University concluded that COVID-19 vaccine mandates in nine major cities did not appear to make a difference in terms of curbing cases deaths   from the pandemic.

"We find no evidence that the announcement or implementation of indoor vaccine mandate in the cities listed had any significant effect on vaccine uptake, COVID-19 cases, or COVID-19 deaths, and this is largely consistent for all US cities that implemented the mandate," said a working paper on the study, titled, "Indoor Vaccine Mandates in US Cities, Vaccination Behavior, and COVID-19 Outcomes."

The authors, Vitor Melo, Elijah Neilson, and Dorothy Kemboi, noted that   vaccine mandates   were among a number of measures used with the intention of reducing the spread of COVID-19 and deaths from the illness. As a result, they said, "[m]illions of people were prevented from entering restaurants, bars, gyms, theaters, sports arenas, and other public indoor areas without proof of COVID-19 vaccination," with people and businesses facing "large disruptions."

Buttigieg finally makes the trip: "While finally visiting the residents of East Palestine, Ohio, after the catastrophic train derailment that occurred there nearly three weeks ago, Transportation Secretary  Pete Buttigieg  made an unfortunate pun that amused Twitter users.

While the Biden administration official addressed the residents of the Ohio town as well as the press on Thursday, he apparently forgot his point mid-sentence and admitted to his audience that he lost his "train of thought."

Buttigieg mocked for saying 'lost my train of thought' while visiting Ohio: He's 'Not good with trains' | Fox News

The cause of the derailment is now known, and it involved the wheelset and bearing of the tank cars.

Mysterious explosions in Iran: "The Natanz facility is critical to Iran's nuclear program — especially the country's recent flouting of uranium enrichment limits under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), known as the Iran nuclear deal.

Iranian officials suspect the country's arch-enemy, Israel, was responsible and there are indications they are right.

The  New York Times quoted a Middle East intelligence official saying  Israel planted a bomb in the building to set back Iran's growing nuclear capability.

It has triggered some speculation within Israel that the official quoted was the head of the external intelligence agency, the Mossad.

The explosion also came not long after Israel confirmed it shut down computerised traffic management systems at a major Iranian port in retaliation for an Iranian cyber attack on its water treatment system."

Bankman-Fried faces more charges: "New York CNN —  Federal prosecutors announced four new criminal charges against  Sam Bankman-Fried , the founder of crypto trading platform FTX, expanding his potential liability in what authorities allege is a billion-dollar fraud.

The new charges, unsealed in a superseding indictment on Thursday, add to the already serious charges facing the so-called Crypto King."

Ultimatum: "JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey said late Wednesday that St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly M. Gardner would face removal from office if she didn’t resign by noon Thursday. Bailey, a Republican, said he would initiate “quo warranto” proceedings to remove Gardner if she didn’t quit. The announcement adds to mounting pressure facing Gardner, a Democrat, after a 17-year-old volleyball player from Tennessee lost her legs  in an accident  involving a man out of jail with pending robbery charges.

What Have We  Learned?

"Pothole" Pete Buttigieg was supposed to be the heir apparent to senile old Joe Biden. Unfortunately, Pete couldn't even function as the Transportation Secretary. From the supply chain crisis to the airline crisis to his notorious paternity leave Pete has been yet another example of the failure of DEI vs merit. For three weeks he ignored the train derailment disaster in East Palestine Ohio.  Now as he catches all the heat, he let it leak out that he has been taking the bullets for the Biden administration. He was last seen Thursday morning walking around East Palestine Ohio in a hard hat & vest looking like a child wearing his father's clothes. He didn't directly answer many questions. The question now is if there is anyone in the Biden cabinet qualified to do their job?

The Biden foreign policy now has China aligned with Russia as both powers carry out military exercises hosted by the wonderful new nation of South Africa. There is growing concern that China will provide lethal aid to Russia. Russia announced on Friday it was pulling out of the Open Skies treaty. Meanwhile, Biden was in Ukraine to show support for that nation to the tune of another $500 Million in aid. He went there without ever visiting the disaster area in East Palestine Ohio. On his way back he once again stumbled on the steps of Air Force One:

NYPICHPDPICT000007069814.jpg?w=1024

That scene was emblematic of the once great nation he presides over. Biden and his handlers seem unaware that the world order is changing. They seem to believe that America has unlimited power as it once had in the 1950's.  They shot down 4 balloons recently. One was a genuine spy balloon that traversed the entire country. That one they only shot down seemingly because someone in Montana saw it and it made the news. The others likely were only privately owned weather balloons, shot down to make a weakling look strong. The world is laughing.

Last but certainly not least there is this:

Georgia elections board  may have violated state law when it accepted $2 million from a Mark Zuckerberg-linked group, a watchdog group claimed in a letter obtained by Fox News Digital.

The Honest Elections Project is calling for an investigation into the DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections for a "flagrant and egregious" violation of a state ban on private funding that was put in place after accusations that donors used money to push left-wing influence ahead of the 2020 elections.

The  funding in question  originated from the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence, the project said in a letter last week calling for a probe by the state attorney general, secretary of state and state elections board.

"We’re now fairly well convinced this is an attempt to do two things," Honest Elections Project Executive Director Jason Snead told Fox News Digital. "To get around those bans on private funding by doing either what they did in DeKalb County, by looking for loopholes and end-a rounds, doing what they can to get money into these offices; or by doing what I think they feel is even more important work, which is to pump influence into these offices."

As much as I wish Democrats and their massive hyperbolic TDS would all disappear; I wish just as much Trump would disappear.

He has served his purpose. He proved someone can win the presidency by winning fly over country. He proved that America can be put first. He set guidelines by which Republicans and Conservatives can operate in the future. Time to let someone else take the lead; and give his massive ego a rest. He can go back to being the king maker along the lines of the Clintons and Obamas.

He can also call out the Brandon administration like he did with Palestine, OH. He needs to focus on getting them the aid and relief they deserve from the federal government. He needs to keep media attention there until that is done; and not allow Brandon and the Democrats to switch it anywhere else!

Red Sox vs Reds:

  • Luis Tiant pitched and won two complete games
  • Five of seven games won by one run incl game 6 and 7
  • Reds rallied from behind to win game 2
  • Red Sox rallied to tie game 3 but then lost it in the 10th
  • Carlton Fisk’s home run in Game 6 won game 6
  • Joe Morgan 9th inning hit brought it home for Cincinnat

I'll never forget it. I watched most of those games with some of the thirstiest guys in South Boston.

That still is a sacred Series around here. The Reds were a regular post season contender in the 70's and the 75 & 76 World Series were their high water mark. You may recall that in 76 they swept the entire post season.

It had been a long WS drought for Boston and as desperate for a win as we were, it was as you describe it, a great Series. In the end everyone who saw it thought the Red Sox were gallant in defeat.

The House Judiciary Committee held its first hearing on the border crisis yesterday.  One of several that various House committees will be holding at the wide-open southern border. Yesterday's hearing was held at the Yuma, Ariz., city hall. None of the democrat members of the committee attended.

So the Democrats don't want to face the lie they've been feeding the citizens about the border.  Fucking cowards.

The democrats once again showed disrespect for the people who live on the border and like Joe Biden a complete disregard for many Americans.

Just another day ending in "Y" for the Democrats.

Meanwhile, Biden was in Ukraine to show support for that nation to the tune of another $500 Million in aid.

I wonder if this is on top of the $2B the Pentagon announced.

I think it's upwards of $50B already and it's only been a year.  I'm willing to be there is absolutely ZERO accountability for all this money and equipment we are sending.  But then again when have we seen accountability from the Biden Dumpster Fire.

so long as he can use it as a political diversion to cover his massive fuck ups at home.

You mean like he did to distract from Ohio.

If they were stupid enough to do that, it would be a suicide mission. Moving on a NATO country would bring the wrath of several nations.

Prior to Biden's trip to Ukraine and Poland, it was approximately $113 Billion. While there, he offered another $50 Billion. And now, the Pentagon ponied up another $2 Billion.

When will NATO countries be forced to pay THEIR "fair share"? So far, the only other NATO country that paid the requested 2% of their GDP is the UK ($4 Billion). Only 28 more NATO countries (of the 30) to go!

BS. Russia's military is going to take years to rebuild; and it still will never be a match for the US. Along with their economy. They are using older generation tanks now- ones that were decommissioned. The world's #2 arms supplier is reduced to buying weapons and munitions from Iran and North Korea.

The military industrial complex and Brandon would like to thank you for the support. As well as all NATO countries that can continue to refuse to upgrade their militaries to protect themselves.

The only reason we aren't rolling into Moscow right now is Russia has enough nukes to destroy the planet several times over; and a leader desperate enough to use them.

Brandon and the Democrats have done a great job of turning Russia into the almighty boogeyman. While ignoring and downplaying the real threat to the world in China. "Russia, Russia, Russia". Time to find a new damn narrative.

If Ukraine falls there will be no next domino; just like Vietnam. Some never learn from history it seems.

No country has given 2% of its GDP to Ukraine including the US which rates in the fifth position behind the three Baltic countries and Poland. After the published date of this report, Norway committed another $7.3 billion to Ukraine.

Half your links discuss the poor quality of Russian tanks and the other half discuss all the arms being sent to Russia from Iran and N. Korea. None of this suggests that Russia will stop at Ukraine.

Include schools (pre-K through post-grad) in this list, too. In 2021, Drs. Malone, Markary, Atlas, Paul, Bhattacharya, Saphier, Siegel, and others warned us about our students' loss of learning potential and how mandates would negatively affect mental health. They've been mocked by the AFT/NEA/CDC and some were suspended/banned from social media sites, because they didn't march in lock-step with the Biden Administration, Fauci, teacher union leaders, and left wing media lemmings.

Interesting that you said this. Here's a 2021 example from far left Media Matters' own mis/disinformation and political propaganda ...

The dishonest doctors who were Fox News’ most frequent medical guests in 2021

PUBLISHED 12/30/21 9:16 AM EST

Politico recently admonished Dr. Anthony Fauci for his choice not to appear on Fox News, saying it   deprived Fox viewers   of “the Biden administration’s most public-facing figure in the effort to contain Covid-19.” But an appearance by one credible public health communicator wouldn’t be able to correct the imbalance of the network’s concerted effort to   serially misinform   its viewers about the pandemic.

Fox   has   repeatedly   villainized   Fauci, instead hosting a parade of dubious medical guests to justify the network’s skewed political narrative by spreading false or misleading statements to viewers. And because many in Fox’s guest lineup hold an advanced degree in public health or medicine, their willingness to lend credibility to the spread of misinformation is even more   dangerous

That's right and Media Matters created many of the leftist media's narratives. We even had social media censoring any doctor or medical expertwho differed with Fauci or Biden.

So many lost their jobs over mandates.

So many were harrassed over mask wearing.

The country fought over it.

Now the truth comes out.

That's certainly true for the Republican party where you're automatically eligible for any party position as long as you're a white male conservative Christian. Education, job skills and experience are completely unnecessary as long as the boxes for 'anti-choice', 'unlimited unregulated access to assault rifles' and 'white washing American history' are all checked. Oh, and the 'owning libs' box, since apparently rightwing white conservative Christians miss owning humans as their ancestors did just a couple generations back. Of course this 'owning' of the libs is only in their deluded poorly educated minds and is akin to playing 'squish your head' with your fingers, but it clearly makes them feel better about themselves.

The political right is becoming more and more extreme, and we see it right here.

Fortunately for them this extremism is tolerated on Newstalkers in the name of free speech.

The National Transportation Safety Board has said that the accident in East Palestine is ENTIRELY the fault of the railroad's lax safety procedures.

It was not Pete Buttigieg or Joe Bidens fault, at all,  but what do we see in right wing commentary like this seed?  Not a single fucking word of condemnation of the railroad, but instead nothing but attacks on the Democratic administration.

I have seen some of Fox News coverage of this , and all they talk about is Pete Buttigieg.  It is far past stupid, but that is where the right is at now. It is extremism.

This weekly article is an echo chamber in intention, because the proponents of this viewpoint cannot possibly win an honest argument.

Nor was it Trump's fault. What we are looking for is a government response, you know, like you'd give to DC or New Orleans. If this happened there the federal government would have taken immediate action.  You see, the midterms gave Biden the idea he can blow these people off. Why did Brandon refuse Federal Disaster Funding?

After the Biden administration denied FEMA support for East Palestine and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg downplayed the toxic train derailment on the national stage, one mother who evacuated her family called the White House out for ignoring a health and humanitarian crisis.

The Biden administration turned down a request for federal disaster assistance from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine in the aftermath of the train derailment in the state earlier this month that led to a large release of toxic chemicals.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) told Ohio's state government that it was not eligible for disaster assistance to help the community recover from the toxic spill, Dan Tierney, a spokesperson for DeWine, told Fox News Digital on Thursday. Tierney explained that FEMA believed the incident didn't qualify as a traditional disaster, such as a tornado or hurricane, for which it usually provides assistance.

"The DeWine Administration has been in daily contact with FEMA to discuss the need for federal support, however FEMA continues to tell Governor DeWine that Ohio is not eligible for assistance at this time," DeWine's office said in a statement earlier in the day. "Governor DeWine will continue working with FEMA to determine what assistance can be provided."

The people of Palestine, OH deserve all of the federal aide they need; not Brandon the Human Fuck Machine's check the box administration incompetency and BS. Brandon can only blame Trump; while their enablers blame the people of Palestine, OH.

This is entirely on Brandon's head. It is past time he was held accountable.

So, despite Pothole Pete and Geriatric Joe claimed (and the left ignorantly parroted), it's NOT Trumps fault.  That must really be triggering those suffering from TDS.

I have seen some of Fox News coverage of this , and all they talk about is Pete Buttigieg.

Let me get this straight.  In your mind, an incident that falls in the realm of the Department of Transportation, the Transportation Secretary should not be talked about because of his and his departments failures?  Failures like not fully enforcing 49 CFR § 209 and ensuring rail operating companies are in compliance.
