Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) is announcing that she'll soon be "a 36-year-old grandmother," while praising "rural conservative communities" that "value life."

The Colorado Republican revealed that the girlfriend of her 17-year-old son, Tyler, is due next month.

"I'm going to tell you all for the first time in a public setting, that not only am I a mom of four boys, but come April, I will be a gigi to a brand new grandson," Boebert said this week at a Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) event.

The lawmaker described her and her husband as "so excited to welcome this new life into our family."

"Now any of you who have young children who are giving life, there's some questions that pop up. There's some fear that arises," Boebert told the audience as she was presented with the Moms for America's "Mothers Influence Award" on Tuesday for taking "an incredible stance in empowering moms, promoting liberty, and raising patriots!"

"Now my son, when I approached him and told him, 'Tyler, I'm going to be a 36-year-old grandmother,' he said, 'Well didn't you make Granny a 36-year-old granny?'"

"I said, 'Yes, I did.' He said, 'Well, then it's hereditary.'"

"Nice try, buddy," Boebert, a far-right conservative with hard-line views on abortion, said to laughs from the crowd.

Boebert has said that she dropped out of high school to take care of her child when she became pregnant as a teen. She said in 2020 that she later received her GED.

"But one of our biggest fears was not what are you going to do? What are people going to say? Our biggest fear is: Are they going to choose life?" Boebert said of her son and his significant other.

"And they did. And we're so proud of them for making that sacrifice and being selfless in that position to say there's something greater here," she said to applause before speaking about teen pregnancy rates.

"There's something special about rural conservative communities — they value life. If you look at teen pregnancy rates throughout the nation, well, they're the same in rural and urban areas. However, abortion rates are higher in urban areas, and teen mom rates are higher in rural, conservative areas because we understand the preciousness of the life that is about to be born," Boebert said.

In 2015, 18.9 out of every 1,000 urban female teenagers gave birth, according to the National Center for Health Statistics, compared to 30.9 out of every 1,000 for those in counties of fewer than 50,000, PBS reported. Since 2007, the nationwide teen birth rate has dropped by approximately half, but it has only fallen by about one-third in rural areas.

Boebert said she and her husband are "working together" with her son and his girlfriend "to make sure that they're amazing parents, that they have the love and support that they need."

"We're adding a wonderful little boy to the Boebert family," she said.

Must be nice to have that $174,000 salary for not doing jack shit and be able to provide for that baby being born to a teenage mother. But of course that is the normal situation for a teenage mother in America yeah? Parents or grandparents making an obscene amount of money and ready and willing to care for your baby?

I figured out years ago if you are in a slump, just take a drive to rural America. Dairy Queen is better than any dating site.  Pull in in your nice car, use the only credit card in the town to purchase a chocolate dipped cone and then dip your cone in the pick of the town's litter.

Works every time.

That sounds weirdly close to an ad. But no, im gonna keep lifting, keep enjoying my food and at some point ill break that barrier. And if I don't, well then I am just not made to lift more than 295 on bench outside of steroids and I am okay with that.

A 295 bench, and I WILL get it,  at 190lbs is pretty danm good.

Technically it's not statutory rape.

Statutory Rape, as a misdemeanor in Colorado occurs if the child is between the ages of 15 and 17 and the accused is 10 years older than the victim. The more serious felony level crime – which could be called Sexual Assault On A Child occurs if the child is under the age of 15. .

He's 17 and what I could find is that she is over 14 but I cannot find anything to show actual age.  And Colorado does have a 'Romeo & Juliet' law also.

Colorado has a Romeo and Juliet law (also called “the close-in-age exemption” to statutory rape). Under this exception:
  1. minors under 15 may have consensual sex with partners who are less than four years older, and
  2. minors age 15 or 16 may have consensual sex with partners who are less than 10 years older.
.

It's very sad and wrong that babies are having babies, but the law seems clear in this.  I feel more for the baby to be in this case, seems like a stacked deck against success in later life.

It is just a part of my speech pattern that has been established over years of working in the USMC and construction after that. Then I got into law enforcement and the language we use is basically the same as the Corps. That is why I speak the way I do.

And my speech patterns are what they are, I really don't care what you or anyone thinks about them. If you are offended that sounds like a you problem.

And no, helping people is my motivation, always has been. I have always wanted to help and protect people. I did 20 years in the Navy and to me and the word "fuck" was a major part of our vocabulary, but only when we were out at sea and it and others left our mouths when we were in port because we respected the women in and around our lives. . Using those words you quoted above to describe another, especially against a woman , shows weakness and insecurity as a man.

What I am really surprised about is no liberal woman has come out on here and condemned that language. Guess it's A-OK to them now.

This feminist sees it as equal opportunity swearing.  I mean, men who are jerks are regularly called "dicks" and "pricks" and "tools".

Strong women don't need protection from cussing.  We know that being put on a pedestal was just one more way to "keep us in our place".

Morning...

I worked with 120 guys on an industrial site and I was the only female. I had a rough idea what to expect re language...and I did tolerate it within reason depending on the work situation.

Working in heavy industry things do go wrong and it does hit the fan. But I had never used F or C when I was working there.. my usual effort was ..."Friggin bloody morons if you had half a bloody brain you would be dangerous"..that pretty well covered everything...

But it did get to the stage when the guys language was getting full on and I had enough..I mentioned to my boss who in turn relayed it to the guys and it literally stopped over night.

Yes it is a guys work place but it was also mine and as I said if they want to get paid!!! and it ended up being mutual respect for each other. A large number of guys  approached me on the quiet and thanked me because they hated the language but didn't want to say anything incase they were laughed at or picked on etc...

When other guys would come into the office from other companies and swear our guys would tell them off.

Do I use the F word now, bloody oath I do, especially after the last 4 years of cancer treatment but it's always to myself and no one is around..far as I know the cat doesn't understand it..

As for the C word, it's not warranted, nor needed and in my eyes just belittles the user, who obviously has a very limited vocabulary to their own detriment.

Really? What has Boebert said that makes her a hypocrite?  I'm not familiar with her as left wingers are.  Does she tell teen  mothers of unborn babies to abort their kids? Does she say parents of teenage parents should shun their grandchildren (like Joe Biden does)?   What value is saying  fuck you to by promising to help care for her grandchild?

Babies out of wedlock. Isn't that a christian thing?

But no, my issue is with her blocking access to abortion and trying like hell to prevent other women or teenage girls from accessing preventative measures, and then touting a teenage pregnancy and baby like it is some fucking blessing while making 174,000$ a year and having her family have access to the best healthcare on the planet.

Touting teenage pregnancy like it is a good thing, a blessing, when she has access resources that 99% of women and teenage girls don't have, makes her a fucking cunt.

his is a 17-year-old whose mother is trying to spin his girlfriend's out-of-wedlock teenage pregnancy into a positive thing

Most people are happy to become  grandparents and often brag about it. It's very odd to be upset by that.

DO you think she should go all Biden family  on the child and ignore it and take the mother to court to try and avoid responsibility and any  association with  it?  IS that what Christians (like Biden always claims to be) do?

No, the easy liberal way out is just to abort it.

Yeah, I'm sure they tried to kill Hunter's child, but now they are doing the next best thing, suing the mother and pretending their grandchild doesn't exist.  Apparently punishing single mothers doesn't make Biden a hypocrite, but Boebert supporting one does.

All of these people so upset about Boebert promising to help care for her grandkid haven't said shit about the brutal  way Joe Biden treats his grandkid.  The only principle that matters to them is the D after the name.

r is this just another opinion?

You need proof Hunter Biden was in financial trouble? That's pretty common knowledge.   Would you like proof he had a drug problem too?

Expenditures compiled on his hard drive show he spent more than $200,000 per month from October 2017 through February 2018 on luxury hotel rooms, Porsche payments, dental work and cash withdrawals. Biden has admitted to burning through cash to pay for drugs and partying with strangers who routinely stole from him, and he struggled to pay multiple mortgages or keep up with alimony and child support payments to his ex-wife. In his autobiography, “Beautiful Things,” he says the money from Burisma “turned into a major enabler during my steepest skid into addiction” and “hounded me to spend recklessly, dangerously, destructively. Humiliatingly. So I did. In a February 2017 divorce filing, an attorney for Biden’s ex-wife said the couple’s outstanding debts were “shocking and overwhelming” and that they owed $313,000 in back taxes. According to the filing, they had bounced checks to their housekeeper and owed money to doctors and therapists. The filing alleged that Hunter Biden had spent copiously on drugs, strip clubs, prostitutes and girlfriends “while leaving the family with no money to pay legitimate bills.”

What do you think the end result of banning sex ed would be, Sean?  As a Congresswoman (in her non-laughingstock capacity), she has access to all the statistics saying that sex ed helps prevent teen pregnancy, but she wants to end it, anyway.  So, yeah, she wants teens pregnant.  And giving birth.

You know what cracks me up?  This is just Sarah Palin 2.0.  Redneck laughingstock Christian nationalist panders to the purity ball crowd, then has to find a way to make it ok that their teenager had sex before marriage.  And you all lap it up every single time.  The Palins went on to get in a few internet squabbles and a barroom brawl.  I guess Boebert got a head start on that when her hubby exposed himself to a teenager.  Or maybe it doesn't count, since she wasn't married to him then.  She waited until after she knew he was a sex offender.

No wonder she doesn't want sex ed.  It covers "grown men shouldn't be exposing themselves to teenagers", and she sees it as a callout.

On Saturday, Joe Biden invited six of his grandchildren on stage when he announced to the world that he had won the   2020 presidential election .

But the seventh was missing from the smiling ranks of America’s next First Family: Navy Joan Roberts,,,

Dominic Casey told DailyMail.com that he assisted Roberts by providing information about Hunter’s finances. He also says he initiated the settlements talks, which ended with Roberts receiving $2.5m.

‘The child is going to get nothing more, Joe does not recognize her as his blood. Neither does Hunter, despite the DNA result,’ he said.

‘There has been zero contact with the child. It’s been that way since the beginning and that hasn’t changed at all. It’s despicable,’ Casey alleged.

Too bad the kid got stuck with Joe Biden as a grandparent instead of Bobert.  Takes a real asshole to ignore your own granddaughter.

"Yeah, I mean, they have comprehensive sex ed. They're teaching kids how to have and enjoy sex, and even same-sex sex, how to pleasure themselves. This is not something elementary students should learn, nor any student in a public school," she continued.

That sounds like she wants a ban to me.

A Christian woman should choose her husband wisely.  A Christian woman shouldn't choose to marry a known sex offender.  I mean, she was there, and was kicked out of the same bowling alley, so she knew it happened.

Her Christianity is very selective.

Casey’s firm filed several affidavits in the settlement accusing Hunter of financial impropriety concerning his work in Ukraine and Russia but a judge ruled them immaterial to the paternity issues.

Ah.  Well, he's sure to paint an unbiased picture.

Her Christianity is very selective.

she was an early and eager student of an obscure st peter cult. it's rumored that after years of career development at the mcdonalds drive up window, she later turned pro for the aspen circuit.  after meeting ted cruz she decided to become more political. ... which now seems like a pretty natural job transition for her ...

  • Made millions from foreign interests after Daddy became VP raisings questions of conflict of interests

  • Several years delinquent on $800,000 in federals taxes and up to $30,000 in questionable deductions

  • Lied on a federal firearms application
  • Divorced his wife so he could fuck his sister-in-law

Denied paternity of a child he actually fathered, and then paid child support once DNA proved him to be wrong.

Wat happened to the millions he allegedly made?

A lot of people cheat on their taxes and deductions.  Are these accusations?  If so, why isn't he prosecuted?  Is the evidence unavailable?

Lying on Federal applications.  As if that is a rare crime.

People do many things for sex.  Even Trump.

Kevin Morris, an entertainment attorney paid off Hunter's delinquent taxes.

Lying on Federal applications.  As if that is a rare crime.

Point?

People do many things for sex.  Even Trump.

Yes, are you suggesting that Trump's behavior makes Hunter's Ok?

For most that doesn't make it okay. So, why is it still legal?

Compared with the Trumps Hunter Biden was penny ante!

I will speak however I wish.

Of that, I have no doubt.  You obviously are a man that will not bow to political correctness or to the establishment on the left in terms of microaggressions or triggering.

When I was young, if I were to use most of those words in front of my dad, especially the c word, I would get a firm smack on the head. He taught me the right way to respect women, not belittle them by calling them words THEY deem offensive, just in spite.

My mother was a strong feminist long before it was popular, she wouldn't have waited for my father to smack me in the head if I called someone a cunt or pussy.

I don't think of the vagina as a slur, but as a place.  Perhaps the happiest place that I ever been to.

Well Blowbert isn't exactly uneducated.

She passed her GED after she decided to run for congress, so she's slightly under educated.

On top of that, Blowbert just isn't very bright.
