Assault on the SCOTUS

Assault on the SCOTUS
The nature of that power requires that a former President have some immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts during his tenure in office. At least with respect to the President’s exercise of his core constitutional powers, this immunity must be absolute. As for his remaining official actions, he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity. to the

Anyone visiting this site should know by now that the radical left is waging an assault on the SCOTUS. The Court had to make this very moderate ruling to inform judges who seem to lack the facts on Presidential immunity and are nonetheless all too ready to send a former President to prison. In case you haven't guessed: it is all about getting Trump. This was always something that Courts struggled with, and we finally reached the point where it had to be clarified. You can thank Merrick Garland for driving all of it to this point. You can also thank the heavy-handed Jack Smith for raising other issues involving the 1st Amendment, the 5th Amendment, the 6th Amendment and even the legality of his own appointment.

So, why do we see outrage from the left?

They weren't outraged when a panel of judges on the DC District Court only took a week to shoot this case through or Judge Chukin who didn't bother to think about how immunity would apply to the case. Well, now she will get a second chance to do it right. As for the people on the left who want to call everything they dislike "bullshit," all I can say is the protections set up in the Constitution have withstood an assault by AG Garland and the American left.

For Jack Smith and the gang: the cats in the bag and the bags in the river.

If anyone is really interested in reading about the decision, without just reading the minority opinions like one of our members presented, it is here:

Read the full Supreme Court decision on Trump and presidential immunity | PBS News

One other thing:

A New York Times/Siena College poll, released yesterday, shows that Biden is now down 6 points to Donald Trump among likely voters — a three-point drop since his poor debate performance. Other polls are showing similar results. Supposedly Biden is taking notice Biden has taken notice. He has privately told allies that the next few days may determine whether he can salvage his candidacy according to Katie Rogers of the New York Times. Unfortunately, the Times reporters can no longer be trusted.

In other news:

The Labour Party is projected to sweep out the Conservatives after 14 years, but the British people are skeptical that the Labour Party can solve the nation's problems.

Hurricane Beryl has battered Jamaica and Grenada.

Israel killed a top Hezbollah commander. The group responded with a rocket barrage, and both sides are now on the verge of war.

U kraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has been dealt a crushing blow as his country will be told it is "too corrupt" to join Nato at current levels, a US official has revealed.

While the Eastern European country is in talks to join the bloc - which has expressed its support for Ukrainian membership - Nato will ask that "additional steps" be taken by Zelensky in order to shore up domestic issues.

Ukraine too CORRUPT to join Nato in major blow for Zelensky (msn.com)

There is another possible reason. To take Ukraine in while at war with Russia would have likely led to nuclear war.

Criminal corruption (doesn't matter who is in charge of the government- the corruption doesn't end); putting your political opponents in prison; shutting down opposition media; and letting Nazis freely operate within the government and military.

It should be all NATO countries that have a problem with Ukraine joining.

Arrests for illegal   border crossings   from Mexico reached an all-time high in December since monthly numbers have been released, authorities said Friday, exposing a growing vulnerability for President Joe Biden in his campaign for a second term. The Border Patrol tallied 249,785 arrests on the Mexican border in December, up 31% from 191,112 in November and up 13% from 222,018 in December 2022, the previous all-time high.

Here is a better chart that shows how expulsions have multiplied under Biden as well

but 22 & 23 are definitely the worst if your just playing the numbers game.

Trump's "secure border" has always been a myth of his own making.
