Joy fades to anger in a Fox hole.
Oh, somewhere in this favoured land the sun is shining bright, The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light; And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout, But there is no joy in Mudville—mighty Casey has struck out.

Link to quote: Casey at the Bat by Ernest Lawrence Thayer - Famous poems, famous poets. - All Poetry

Last night the Harris campaign took their big gamble and sent their candidate off to Fox News to face real questioning from Bret Baier on America's biggest news forum. Harris, who was 17 minutes late, could not answer a single question. She sought to filibuster and eventually when Baier finally gave her an opening, she launched an angry tirade against Donald Trump. It was clear that her campaign had used Trump as the default button for her in case she got into trouble and she was in trouble with the very first question, which was how many people did she estimate the Biden administration let into the country.

AA1soNbz.img?w=634&h=357&m=6

When Baier pressed her on why one of her campaign promises is to “turn the page” when she has been the sitting vice president for more than three years, Harris pivoted to talking about Trump.

“Well first of all, turning the page from the last decade in which we’ve been burdened with the kind of rhetoric coming from Donald Trump that has been designed and implemented to divide our country and have Americans literally point fingers at each other,” she said.

Baier then reiterated that she has been vice president for three and a half years, questioning why people think the country is on the wrong track.

“Come on, you and I both know what I’m talking about,” she said.

Baier responded, “What are you talking about?”

“Over the last decade it is clear to me … he is unfit to serve, he is unstable, he is dangerous and people are exhausted,” she said, referring to Trump.

5 takeaways from a contentious Bret Baier, Harris interview (msn.com)

I am sure the radical lefties thought that was a winning moment for Harris, and I am just as sure that the rest of America thought it was an epic failure. The proof of course, is that the Harris campaign team frantically tried to get Baier to wrap up their interview early.

'I'm talking like four people waving their hands like "it's got to stop,"' Baier described to his panel about how the  taped but unedited interview  ended after it aired at the top of his 6 pm show.

'I had to dismount there at the end,' Baier shrugged.

'There are so many things and maybe she should do more of these,' he added.

The moment Kamala Harris staff desperately intervened to end interview with Fox News' Bret Baier: 'It's gotta stop!' | Daily Mail Online

Based on this train wreck, I think it finally may be over for the radical left winning the White House next month.

apologized for FOX showing the wrong Trump snippet of film without the referenced comments about the enemy within

How about Merrick Garland suing states which want to prevent illegal migrant voting?

Does any of it constitute election interference?

And now you jump on major tangents.

D E F L E C T I O N

Trump's attorneys and the SCotUS pushed his trial out.   Yes it is unfortunate for Trump that the SCotUS has instructed Chutkan to determine which evidence is admissible in Trump's trial.   And too bad for Trump that this evidence is made public so that the voters can consider the evidence against the scoundrel who is the GOP nominee before voting to give this vindictive con-man the powers of the US presidency.

Trump chose to try to steal the 2020 election using fraud, coercion, lying, and incitement.   He has used his attorneys to delay the trial in the hope that he will be elected and thus kill justice.   So this is the best the electorate will get prior to voting.   But you want to hide this information because it (rightly so) might damage your candidate.   Too bad; nobody should be voting for a traitor in the first place.

How about Merrick Garland suing states which want to prevent illegal migrant voting?

Stop buying bullshit from partisan sources that spin everything.

The DoJ is acting to ensure that the National Voter Registration Act, etc. are not violated.   This is acting to prevent election interference.

There is no defense for Trump.   There is no justification for voting for this traitor.   Never should the USA elect as PotUS a vindictive, narcissistic, loose-cannon who is the only PotUS in our history to not cooperate in the peaceful transfer of power and who used fraud, lying, coercion, and incitement in an attempt to steal a presidential election, violate the CotUS, break US law, and disenfranchise the electorate.

Your alternate facts don't hold up in the light of day. Neither Trump nor Biden created the inflation from a world wide pandemic. Or maybe both if you want to factor in the stimulus pay outs people got during the pandemic that a bi-partisan Congress voted for and both Presidents signed. Also here's a hint - Joe's not on the ballot anymore...

Enough to counter inflation? Can you show us that?

Yes.

Average hourly wage growth has exceeded inflation for 12 straight months, according to  new Bureau of Labor Statistics data  released this morning. This real (or inflation-adjusted) wage growth is a key indicator of how well the average worker’s wage can improve their standard of living. As inflation continues to normalize, I’m optimistic more workers will experience real gains in their purchasing power.

Neither Trump nor Biden creates the inflation from a world wide pandemic.

Inflation is caused by government spending/printing of money. Economics 1.0

Yes.

Here is the other side of that:

While price growth for some common purchases is slowing or even reversing, there are few parts of the economy where prices are outright lower today than pre-pandemic. And while average pay gains have narrowly outpaced inflation, that’s not the case for every household.

You're hung up on this felon thing like it means something.  There is nothing prohibiting him from running office.  Just like there is nothng that kept a racist like Biden from running.

Also it shows you have not been paying attention to how the appeals are going.

Simple: Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?

Without a doubt a resounding YES! Four years ago, unemployment was at record highs, we had a President lying about a deadly pandemic putting Americans lives at risk all for his ego, had already been impeached by congress, inspired a violent insurrection attempt and was an unmitigated embarrassment to any patriotic American with more than half a brain.

Down from the high that Biden created with his reckless spending. Trump left us with barely any inflation.

What is wrong with your understanding of propaganda?

Covid brought the economy to a standstill and the fed reduced interest rates to nothing.

The Supply chain backlog created by Covid emptied stores of most goods.

Zero growth means zero inflation, that is a BAD THING.

While the idea of price stability and no change in prices may seem appealing, a situation of 0 inflation can have several negative consequences for the economy and individuals.

One of the primary concerns with 0 inflation is the risk of deflation. Deflation occurs when prices continue to decline over time, leading to a decrease in the overall level of economic activity. When consumers expect prices to fall in the future, they delay purchases, causing a decrease in demand. This, in turn, limits production and can lead to business closures and job losses. Deflationary pressures can create a vicious cycle of reduced spending, lower production, and economic contraction.

Furthermore, 0 inflation can hinder wage growth. Inflation provides an incentive for employers to increase wages to keep up with rising prices. When inflation is absent, employers may be less motivated to raise wages, resulting in stagnant or even declining real wages for workers. This can lead to a decrease in the purchasing power of individuals, impacting their quality of life and ability to afford essential goods and services.

Inflation also allows for adjustments in the economy’s relative prices. When certain industries experience increased costs of production, they can pass on these costs to consumers through higher prices. This redistribution of resources ensures that industries with higher demand and productivity are rewarded while those with lower efficiency face pressure to improve. Without inflation, this necessary adjustment mechanism is hindered, potentially leading to inefficient allocation of resources and a less dynamic economy.

Moreover, 0 inflation can negatively impact investments and financial markets. In a low or zero inflation environment, the real return on investments, such as bonds or savings accounts, can be significantly reduced. This discourages individuals from saving and investing, and can lead to a preference for non-productive assets like cash. This lack of productive investment can impede economic growth and limit opportunities for wealth creation.

Lastly, when inflation is absent, central banks have limited tools to stimulate the economy during periods of economic downturn. In normal times, central banks lower interest rates to encourage borrowing and spending, boosting economic activity. However, when interest rates reach zero, known as the zero lower bound, this policy tool becomes ineffective, reducing the ability to combat recessions or promote economic recovery.

Overall, while 0 inflation may seem desirable on the surface, it can have significant negative effects on the economy, including the risk of deflation, stagnant wages, inefficient resource allocation, reduced investment opportunities, and limited monetary policy effectiveness. It is important for policymakers to aim for an optimal level of inflation to maintain a healthy and vibrant economy.

Why Is 0 Inflation Bad? | LiveWell

When the supply chain started to relax inflation started creeping back,

then it raced to over 9%

BEFORE the INFLATION REDUCTION ACT passed.

By the time the IRA passed inflation was already down to 7%. kept dropping partially,

we are assuming, because of the IRA.

Inflation is currently at 2.4%,  almost perfect for a thriving economy, robust stock market and real-estate market.

What is wrong with your understanding of propaganda?

He knows enough to understand simply calling a bill the inflation reduction act, doesn't mean it lowers inflation.  Calling a bill that increases spending and the deficit which actually  creates inflationary pressures is the "Inflation Reduction Act" is a prime example of propaganda.

By the time the IRA passed inflation was already down to 7%. kept dropping partially, we are assuming, because of the IRA.

Lol. I guess it shows why they called it the inflation reduction act, even though that wasn't the point of it  (it was the rebranded Build Back Better Act) and even Biden admits it had nothing to do with lowering inflation. Inflation was more important than climate change in 2022 so they just slapped a new name on it. I guess that's why they give bills stupid labels, some people believe them.

lmost perfect for a thriving economy, robust stock market and real-estate market.

Campaign advertising for races in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa are being broadcast here.  Democrats are flooding the airwaves with some exceptionally vile ads while there's been little Republican advertising.  The complaints about Trump ring hollow.

ABC News (with David Muir) aired 10 minutes of a Kamala Harris rally as news reporting.  Harris is attempting to be as obnoxious as Nancy Pelosi.  And it looked like the crowd was watching their cell phones for cues to cheer.  Pelosi never pushed legislation through the House on its merits; she dissed the opposition and brow beat the fence sitters to get what she wanted.  Nancy Pelosi is the true queen of odious politics; Hillary Clinton was only a wannabe.  And Harris is making a valiant attempt to become heir apparent.

The political polling has become totally worthless now that voting has started.  The unbiased liberal press is scrambling to shift to exit polling but how does that work with mail-in ballots?  Not to worry, the election will be certified as fair, honest, and above board; unless Harris loses, of course.  The unbiased liberal press will engage in a deranged frenzy of tabloid reporting before the election is over since that's all they have left.

Meanwhile, Israel is being forced to tell the world what is off the table by a President Biden who tells the world nothing is off the table.  Yet Benjamin Netanyahu is winning wars while Joe Biden has had his ass kicked at every turn.  Tie Israel's hands and they'll still win a victory.  Why can't the US elect a leader like Netanyahu?

It's beginning to look like 'V for Victory' Zelensky is pushing to get everything on Ukraine's wish list - from the West, not Russia - before Ukraine folds.  Taking the war to Russia with the Kursk offensive hasn't changed anything on the front lines.  In fact, Ukraine winning that battle has weakened the war effort so that a negotiated capitulation becomes more likely.  Zelensky can't risk pissing off Europe and the United States now.  So, NATO now has Ukraine where it wants it; weak, dependent, and begging.

F ox News anchor  Bret Baier  suggested Vice President  Kamala Harris  tried to catch him off guard ahead of her tempestuous interview with the  Republican -affiliated host on Wednesday.

Giving a recap of the sitdown during a Wednesday evening  appearance  on Fox News host Sean Hannity's show, Baier offered a behind-the-scenes look into the interview, reflecting that when the vice president walked into the interview 17 minutes late, it felt like she was “icing the kicker.”

“We were supposed to start at 5 p.m. This was the time they gave us. Originally, we were going to do 25 or 30 minutes. They came in and said, ‘Well, maybe 20.’ So, it’s already getting whittled down. And then, the vice president showed up at about 5:15 p.m. We were pushing the envelope to be able to turn it around for the top of the 6 p.m. So that’s how it started,” Baier said.

The atmosphere was tense as the Fox production team waited for Harris to show up, Baier said, as her late arrival pushed the limits for the network to get the interview up and running for the 6 p.m. air time.

“At 5:17, the vice president walked out, so it did feel a little bit like they were icing the kicker or trying to, and originally they were talking about 25 minutes and they gave us 20 minutes,” Baier said.

When the interview finally did get started, it turned into a contentious debate at times, with Baier pressing Harris about the rise in illegal immigration during the past three years she has served as vice president, her position on funding transgender operations for imprisoned illegal immigrants, and how she planned to offer “a new way forward” (as her campaign slogan says), having served at the top of the Biden administration since 2021.

When Baier asked, “How many illegal immigrants would you estimate your administration has released into the country over the last three and a half years?” Harris deflected with, “I'm glad you raised the issue of immigration because I agree with you, it is a topic of discussion that people want to rightly have.”

Bret Baier: “How many illegal immigrants would you estimate your administration has released into the country over the last three and a half years?”

Kamala Harris: “Bret, let’s just get to the point, OK? The point is that we have a broken immigration system that needs to be…

When pressed for a specific estimate again, Harris responded, “Bret, let's just get to the point. OK, the point is that we have a broken immigration system that needs to be repaired.”

When the anchor moved on to the next question, she complained, “I promise you I was beginning to answer,” before the pair descended into another battle following Baier's question about how “your administration immediately reversed a number of Trump border policies” that allowed some illegal immigrants to stay in the country and “commit heinous crimes," allegedly including the murders of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley and 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray.

“I could tell when we started talking that she was going to be tough to redirect without me trying to interrupt,” Baier noted, later telling political commentator  Mark Levin  that he was “just trying to get through the talking points.”

“I was hoping it was going to be this civil back-and-forth,” the Fox host said. “But I was just trying to get through the talking points and it took a while, and it was a little bit of, you know, interrupting, and kind of, getting in on the breath.”

Trump is late for every rally.

The interview was prerecorded, why worry about being on time, both parties had other obligations at 6pm

They had 43 minutes to record a 20 minute segment which actually lasted 26 minutes.

In the end it was Baier who had to admit his mistake and hence some of the tenor of the interview.

Baier had  a plan of attack and Harris resisted.

Good for Harris.

She had nothing to apologize for the next day.

Should we all start voting this mess up so that it stays right under the letterhead where legit seeds usually are and rightly should be?

Maybe it'll win a Medal of Freedom from Trump for assisting him?
