President Trump has shared an AI-generated video depicting his resort-like vision for the future of Gaza — featuring a gigantic golden statue of the president as well as images of him lounging topless poolside with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The 30-second clip, shared on Truth Social late Tuesday, opens by showing a war-torn Gaza following 15 months of Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists — before asking, “What next?” in red, white and blue text.
Scenes of destruction suddenly morph into a sunny beach resort destination, as a lively dance track with the lyrics “Donald Trump will set you free, bringing the life for all to see, no more tunnels, no more fear, Trump Gaza is finally here” starts to play.
Rules apply.

A golden statue? Could that be the highest peak of narcissism that has not been seen since the Roman Empire? I wonder if he got the idea from the golden calf that was worshipped by the Jews fleeing Pharoah's Egypt.
Yes!
Morning... someone needs to tell Trump it has already been done..in North Korea...
Not my photo you couldn't pay me to go there...
Wow- the smilarities between the statues in that photot and the ststue of Trump inhis video are striking! Amazing similarity!!!
Soon as I saw it thought of North Korea straight away..🤣

What next? Seaside resorts and golf clubs, maybe an airport.
There used to be some luxury hotels-- on the ocean front. (During the Israeli occupation Gaza was quite prosperous not only for the Jews but also for the Arabs living there).
And there used to be an airport. But of course the Gazans, as is typical, "never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity".
And BTW, I distinctly remember when there was a thriving Mercedes dealership in Gaza!
The airport was destroyed during the Second Intifada.
I used to have links to more of the history, but the sites have taken them down -- or no longer exist.
Many people don't realize it, but the Egyptians actually build a tall wall (solid metal) to keep Gaza terrorists out of Egypt.
The Gazans eventually managed to tear it down (these are actual photos):
After the Egyptian wall was torn down, people crossed th border-- in both directions!
All sorts of Gazans crossed over into Egypt-- which they had not been able to do for quite a while. Some just out of curiousity, other to buy things in Egypt as they were much cheaper there than they were in Gaza.
And many Egyptians (women only of course) ran into Gaza-- for other reasons.
Jews may have lived in Gaza, if that is the meaning you are putting to "Israeli Occupation" but I thought those words would have meant that the Israeli government controlled Gaza. I don't think Gaza was blockaded then to stop Hamas from getting arms to attack Israel. After all, I live in China, but I don't think I "occupy" it.
Then it's possible to put a new one there.
Since nothing was done for that purpose since, and Israel is quite aware of how porous that border is, Israel knows it has no choice but to maintain control of the Philadelphi Corridor.
They crossed it both over and under the border.
It did.
I'm not talking about the current situation-- the Israelis certainly aren't "occupying" Gaza. Its a war zone-- and there are Israeli troop movements in and out.
No, I'm talking of an actual occupation. Egypt had occupied Gaza. Then Israel took control and occupied Gaza. Israelis built homes there. And they also had businesses that provided income for the Arabs who lived there.
Finally the Israelis permanently ended the occupation of Gaza, (2005).
There's a good article about this, with a lot of the actual history of Gaza, here:
The Gaza Strip: History of Jewish Settlement
If that happened, the rulers of Gaza would have full control (the new airport would be controlled by Hamas)
Not surprisingly, no one here is curious as to why that occured.
Jews may have lived in Gaza, if that is the meaning you are putting to "Israeli Occupation" but I thought those words would have meant that the Israeli government controlled Gaza.
"Occupation" has a standard definition:
Article 42 of The Hague Regulations of 1907 defines occupation as follows: "Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army. The occupation extends only to the territory where such authority has been established and can be exercised."
Israel occupied Gaza from 1967 until 2005. There were Israel troops stationed there, there were Jewish settlements-- and the famous greenhouses which brought in a lot of income (mainly exports to Europe).. But in 2005 the occupation ended-- all troops withdrew to Israel, and the Israeli gov't forced people (Israelis) out of their homes in Gaza. Since 2005 there hasn't been a single Jewish settler in the place.
So what was the status of Gaza before 1967? Well it was occupied by Egypt-- not by Israel!
The Egyptian occupation of Gaza ended as a result of their losing the 1967 War (AKA "The Six Day War) to Israel.
The Egyptian occupation was brutal. However under Israeli occupation the situation was much better for the Gazans.
IMO "Occupation" implies a temporary status.
After WWII Germany was "Occupied" (By 4 Allied Powers) who totally controlled it:
Allied Occupation of Germany, 1945-52
After Germany's defeat in the Second World War, the four main allies in Europe - the United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and France - took part in a joint occupation of the German state. With the original understanding that the country would eventually be reunified, the Allied Powers agreed to share the responsibility of administering Germany and its capital, Berlin, and each took responsibility for a certain portion of the defeated nation
Germany started a war, conquered much of its neighbours-- and lost. So they were occupied (the idea was to eventually end the occupation after a program of "De-Nazification"). And it was basically sucessful-- today Germany is a democracy.
Here is the status of Israeli Occupations-- and occupations that have ended:
1. Israel had occupied Egypt's Sinai. Egypt refused to make peace with and recognize Israel. Finally Israel made a deal-- they would leave the entire Sinai in return for peace and Egyptian recognition. Sinai was returned to Egypt. Occupation ended.
2, A small strip of Lebanon on Israel's border was the site of numerous terrorists (Hizb'Allah) crossing from Lebanon into Israel. That occupation is over.
3. Technically, the "West Bank" is still occupied by israel. Israel was supposed to withdraw in return for the Arab countries recognizing Israel and making peace. All parties agreed, but the sticking point has been each side wants the other side to go first.
4. The Golan Heights: A very tiny strip of Israeli land on the Syrian border. Was occupied by Israel, but unlike other occupations the Israeli did not pull out-- rather they annexed it (unlike those other areas it is now part of Israel). It has little value except as a buffer zone to prevent attacks from Syria.
5. Gaza: This was occupied by various powers over time. It borders two countries-- Egypt and Israel. As mentioned, the last occupiers were the Israelis who governed it, but who totally pulled out. Since 2005 it is an independent self-governing entity (ruled by Hamas) and there have various degrees of blockades by Egypt and Israel over time.
I now realize that the word "occupy" only means to live somewhere and have no control of more than just where I live or am for a purpose such as employment or a business. I've been misled by the Palestinians referring to Jews as the "occupiers" and using the words "the occupation" which led me to think wrongly. I now believe that their use of that language is only to seed hatred of the Jews. They're very successful with their propaganda.
That is the meaning that I THOUGHT the word had, but normally it just means being somewhere with some permanence.
One of the times I was in Israel I stood on the edge of the Golan Heights overlooking Israel and is was damned obvious to me why it was necessary for Israel to annex it. But then I've always believed that lands conquered by a nation defending itself from an attacking nation should be legally maintained by the defending nation, and Trump had America agree with that as well, contrary to how the rest of the world feels about it. By the way, one good thing about the Golan Heights is that it has excellent vineyards.
And don't forget-- many of the Arab countries have incredible wealth from oil, so they have no problem funding propaganda efforts.
Yeah, whoever said it was Jews who controlled the media?
Many people are unaware of just how many Arab countries there are. IIRC there are about 22. However there are also Muslim countries that are not Arab. (iran, Turkey, etc.)
And then there's this:
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, formerly the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, is an intergovernmental organization founded in 1969. It consists of 57 member states, 48 of which are Muslim-majority.

Trump will set you free? Oh, the humanity.
Did anyone else notice that in that video , the two belly dancers had beards? (The scene flashed by too quickly-- it was hard to tell).
Looked at the video again - it was too fast for me to see beards.

Hi Raven Wing. Thanks for doing that!
Unfortunately for me, NT members are more often posting YouTubes as their articles and comments, so besides the fact that I'm getting sick of Trump Trump Trump, I'm now spending less time on the site. For the past month or so I've tried to have anywhere from 5 to 13 articles on a variety of topics visible on the Front (Home) Page, but now I have none. The next one I might do is a Movie Game (not a quiz so it will not be necessary to have seen the movies), in memory of and in honour of Gene Hackman, featuring his movies. Instead of spending so much time on NT I'm spending more time watching movies, and when the weather is better will spend more time outside. I'm sure there are some members here who are going to say "good riddance" but they'll be the ones who are the assholes and detriment to this NT site.
Americans under 80 have almost universally "Cut The Cord" for television and Internet and instead operate completely off their smart phone's mobile hotspot. As I did when I moved to NY, eight years ago! My savings per month are at least $200 per month. I do still pay for Prime, Netflix, Max and Hulu plus rent the occasional movie but all that was already an extra charge on top of basic cable and wired Internet. Whereas, YouTube is free, has content for all interests and works on all devices. My home television is connected to YouTube hours each day. This is typical in the US nowadays. My Mom just cut the cord...
Glad I could help.
Never, one of the few who writes common sense !!
I appreciate the compliment, Way, but there are some members here who are not exactly friends.
I agree.
And sometimes it occurs in really strange ways.
Here's but one example:
BREAKING: Kyiv, Washington reach agreement on minerals deal
Some of this stuff really makes a person wonder...WTF IS GOING ON HERE?

Some of this stuff really makes a person wonder...WTF IS GOING ON HERE?
Sometimes things are a bit strange here . . .
Things seem to be getting curiouser and curiouser, n'est pas?
(What would Toto say?)
That deal might not happen. I just read the transcript of the explosive meeting of Zelenskyy, Trump and Vance.
Guess I'm confusing The Wizard of Oz with Alice in Wonderland!
Thanks Raven. It worked. I knew I could count on you.
You're very welcome, Buzz. Glad it worked for you. I'm always happy to help when I can.
Gee, I wonder why no right-wing Trump supporting NT members have posted a comment on this article. LOL
Our country and our military getting ready to be used for Trump's "Resort Wars". Pillaging other countries for Trump's glory.
I wonder if, in pursuing his plans for Gaza, Trump would dare to send in U.S. troops?
Seems highly unlikely-- but OTOH if he wants to get all the Gazans out... most of them don't want to leave voluntarily.
Of course in a way its fits a pattern--he wants the Gazans out of Gaza-- they don't want to leave. He wants to buy Greenland-- but its not for sale, He wants to make Canada a state-- butof course the Canadians don't want that!
And now he wants Ukraine's Rare Earth Minerals--but Trump just ruined that plan with the way he treated Zalenskiy. (If Zalensky wants to sell them he should have no problem finding other customers.
Seems that now Zelensky realized that when dealing with a person like Trump, he has no choice but to suck up to hm and beg his forgiveness.
Trump had a press conference today with lots of reporters there. The subject of Gaza came up. Trump even said it would become a beautiful area, but no reporter asked him about this disgusting video.
The media is failing us.
My guess is that if a reporter asked him about this video, Trump would defend it (Including his making some blatant lies)...and then probably permanently ban that reporter from his future press conferences.
A great case of a man with a huge swollen head !
Yes.

Pride goeth before the Fall

Proverbs 16:18-19 American Standard Version (ASV)
Pride goeth before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of a lowly spirit with the poor, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
