In a recent phone call to her staffer, she let the young man know just how loving and peaceful she is. Here's what she had to say when the staffer presumably told her that he would have to ask another staffer about the date of an upcoming event.

"I don't want you to do a g********* thing. I want you to have a f****** brain, I want you to have read it, I want you to say, 'Congresswoman it was such-and-such date.' That's what I want. That's the kind of staff that I want to have. So if some stupid other m*********** did it, and I don't have the information, nobody sent me the information, I need to ensure my schedule and if Boo-Boo did it, S*** A** did it, F******* did it, and nobody knows a g******** thing in my office, k? Nothing. I gave it to you. Your job was to get it on the calendar, imprint it in your brain, or send me the information back saying, 'Congresswoman, I made sure that the Ovide Duncantell event that you gave me for so-and-so- date at 7 is on the f****** calendar.' Not to, 'Oh, Jerome has it,' okay? So when I called Jerome, he only sit up there like a fat a**, stupid idiot, talking about what the f*** he doesn't know. Okay? Both of y'all are f******, are f****** a*******. It's the worst s*** I could've ever have put together. Two g******** big-a** children. F****** idiots. Serve no g******** purpose. Ain't managing nobody, nobody's respecting them, nobody gives a s*** about what you doing. And you ain't doing s***. And this is an example of it. I gave it to Jerome. This is not child's work. Okay?"

Leaked audio obtained by @CurrentRevolt shows Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee berating a staffer: "F**king idiots serve no goddamn purpose … Nobody gives a shit about what you're doing and you ain't doing shit!"

Wow, what a gutter-mouth! Does she kiss her husband and children with that filthy mouth? Just out of curiosity, I looked up more about her. In addition to her stating that US astronauts landed on Mars and that the US Constitution is 400 years old ...

  • Presidential election objections

In 2001, Jackson Lee and other House members objected to counting Florida's electoral votes, which   George W. Bush   narrowly won after a contentious   recount   in the   2000 presidential election . Because no senator joined the objection, it was dismissed by Senate President   Al Gore . [54]

In 2005, Jackson Lee was one of the 31 House Democrats who voted not to count Ohio's   electoral votes   in the   2004 presidential election . [55] [56]   Without Ohio's electoral votes, the election would have been decided by the U.S. House of Representatives, with each state having one vote in accordance with the   Twelfth Amendment to the United States Constitution .

During the   2017 United States Electoral College vote count , Jackson Lee objected to counting North Carolina's, South Carolina's and Wyoming's electoral votes in the   2016 presidential election . [57]   Because no senator joined her objections, they were dismissed. [58]

  • Hurricane naming

In 2003, Jackson Lee complained that storm names were too white. "All racial groups should be represented", she said, and asked officials to "try to be inclusive of African-American names." [59]

  • Confederate flag

On July 9, 2015, Jackson Lee and others who were engaged in a debate over the Confederate battle flag produced an erroneous reproduction of the original flag. The original battle flag contained 13 stars representing each state of the Confederacy as of 1861. The flag that Jackson Lee presented to members of Congress contained 17 stars. [62]

  • Staff turnover

In 1998,  The Houston Press  reported that five of Jackson Lee's staffers had quit that spring: "According to Lee's former Capitol office executive assistant and events scheduler Rhiannon Burruss, the congresswoman's abrasive ways not only drove off staff members but irritated  Continental Airlines  staffers to the point where one suggested she fly on a competitor instead." [63] [64]

In 2011, Jackson Lee was reported to have one of the highest staff turnover rates in Congress.  The Huffington Post  and  Houston Chronicle  reported that she had gone through 11 chiefs of staff in 11 years. [65] [66]  A 2013 report concluded that "the veteran Texas Democrat had the highest turnover rate for all of Congress over the past decade." [67]  She again topped the 2017 edition of the biennial  Washingtonian  survey [68]  and 2018 turnover statistics. [69]

She routinely makes the “meanest” employer on Capitol Hill as voted on by Congressional staffers and she is found on Washingtonian Magazine’s “Best and Worst of Congress” lists. She has one of the highest staff turnover rates because she abuses her employees.

Work place harassment from the boss from hell.

She is one of the more absent Representatives missing many House votes, probably because her fat, fucked up staff failed to get it on her calendar.

Of course, comedians sport around a professional "license" to offend and we consider them part of the "relief" entertainment fabric and when necessary we push-back on even them, individually and collectively. MAGA conservatives don't have a license of any kind to mock the names of Black women or their possible way of speaking.

Now then, "ebonics" - I will speak up and out against that shit everyday-all day! And, at the same time I will defend a southern white's right to traditional Cracker culture (from Celtic culture) to traditional redneck culture.

There is a time and place for humor and comment 9 did not go to that place of light-hearted banter.

How about adding a point to enhance or counter what is already written.

I believe that I’ve written several about Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee here.

There have long been allegations that Jackson Lee treats her staff poorly and has a very high turnover rate as a result.  In 2019, it was reported that a former member of her staff filed a lawsuit that claimed Jackson Lee and her office mishandled a report of sexual assault. She has a high missed vote rate and she accuses her Mayoral competitor of leaking this recording.  I think that it was more likely leaked by a staffer that she shit on.

Moreover, if you don't usually speak in broken English why did you think it appropriate to try it here and now?

I found her complaint about not using Black names for hurricanes humorous, Do you want a deadly hurricane named after you?

Nothing "Wow" about it. We all get angry and 99.99 percent of the time when we do - we curse. Including using "God-damn" alot. I have been compelled to do so in my comments on NT.. Why? Because people, and apparently smooth-talking congresspeople too, can be pushed to a breaking point. And so they let it 'rip' - come what may from it.

Ms. Lee has no excuse for going off "on the record" against a staffer. Particularly, since she is looking for a job that weighs heavily on her personality. She did it. Now she will have to deal with it. I guess, just own it. It's her "Lauren Boebert moment at BeattleJuice" and so she will have to deal with it-or just tell everybody to get over it.

Of course, Republicans won't get over it. And they should give her hell for it. Go for it!

As far as it being what others do, that's bullshit. You caught Ms. Lee making an ass out of her staff people who must have let her down in some distressing way. You don't get to broad-brush liberals for that. Unless conservatives, you all are desperate. Are you—desperate?

That is, whatever good she may have done in congress up to this point is not mentioned to balance the negativity that gets wide dissemination. My advice to Ms. Lee is watch her words! Why? Do you want to applaud her? I don't keep up with Ms. Lee. I only chime in on her account when it seems some here find it sporting to put down a woman of color as a form of color commentary.

Clearly, she has positively accomplished something because she is still being elected. And now running for Houston mayor!

That is, whatever good she may have done in congress up to this point is not mentioned to balance the negativity that gets wide dissemination.

Why do you defend her?  Why were not the men of the Me Too movement given the chance to balance the negative?  They lost their jobs, standing in the community over for many decades old accusations, of whom some I question whether they were actually guilty of said accusations.

Representative Lee is on an audio recording abusing an individual that works for her, she should be help to a higher standard,  There are far too many crazies running this nation on both sides of the aisle .. her level of verbal abuse is no different than making undesired sexual advances on someone in the workplace.  It is every bit as degrading / demoralizing.

Just my half cents worth...   I will say no more on the subject ..!

I will not defend her bad conduct or cursing mouth to any great length. It is what it is. She needs to do better and that goes without saying. But, her doing better is not WHY conservatives are mocking her now, is it? That is, whatever good she may have done in congress up to this point is not mentioned to balance the negativity that gets wide dissemination. My advice to Ms. Lee is watch her words! She knows good and damn well she has critics who are looking to cause her downfall with every passing moment of the day!

Actually, that is what I wrote in its proper context/setting. I even start off by 'announcing' I will not defend her bad conduct or cursing mouth.

Me Too movement. . . I didn't have anything to do with it-besides watching from the sidelines. Don't know what Me Too has to do with Ms. Lee.

As to the recording, Ms. Lee should have known better. But, I will give her forgiven this once. Once mind you as we all have our days, yes or no? But, do it again (future tense not past tense) and I will remind myself of this incident (one for which I have listened to actual audio of her delivering the statements.)

As stated in the quote above and I repeat:

My advice to Ms. Lee is watch her words! She knows good and damn well she has critics who are looking to cause her downfall with every passing moment of the day!

So WHY, in your opinion, are those nasty conservatives suddenly mocking her in 2023 when she has a decades-long history of abuse, racism, and vulgarity?

One question, singular. This silly GAME conservatives play around EVERY question needing to have a 'detail' answer is senseless. Answers take many forms in the aggregate—directly and indirectly.

MY ANSWER!

As for the "decades long history of abuse, racism, and vulgarity. . . " assertion - it may be something real or imagined in the minds of conservatives (alone) . I don't know and I ain't taking an interest in spending time searching it out.

I am addressing the news of 'today' where she curses out a staff-member and that incident alone . And, going forward. It's the one I am pretty sure about as I heard the 'tape' will my own ears. Because, well, . . . MAGA lies about a great many things where liberals are concerned. Therefore, I simply take such statements with the proverbial grain of salt!

You caught Ms. Lee making an ass out of her staff people who must have let her down in some distressing way.

Wow!  That comment is wrong in so many ways.  That poor woman was let down, so it gives her the right to tear another person apart ..?  An adult and elected official of the United States Congress could have just said 'You fuck'd up .. do not let it happen again!' and been done with it, period!

Toxic work environments are no joke, I have lived them and found the door myself rather take it - but not all people have the self-confidence and self-worth to leave.  I watched a program last night called "Navajo Police Class 57 .. the training officers could not understand why so many students kept walking out of the Navajo Police Academy  .. it is an eye-opening well-done docuseries about the police of the Navajo Nation and what it takes to become an officer.  Those cadets took a brutal verbal beating from jump ..

Verbal abuse is still abuse; it does not have to be a spouse beating one down!

Peace

In a nutshell, to sum it all up: The MAGA crowd is attempting to takeover the government system and governmental infrastructure from top to bottom, and federal and state.  As congress is indicative of-you can crowd a whole lot of republicans and conservatives in seats of power. . . and they still can't 'cook'! They're all wearing (red) chef hats and still not a one of them is fit to make the nation a proper 'dinner'!

MAGA conservatives hate liberals and the democratic party so much that they pass through the other side 'loving' democrats and liberals out of a need to fix their self-loathing of themselves.

Yes. MAGA conservatives are getting a whiff of what it is to have their own FUNK come back to them in triplicate!
