Happy Valentine's Day!
"Your boyfriend doesn't know you very well if he got you Snickers"
Happy Valentine's Day, Newstalkers!
Do you have big plans? Planning on chilling with your cat while you watch Netflix?
We're probably try and do dinner at the local pizza joint tonight, but it may be crowded, so we might have to go pick up a Walmart pizza and bake it at home.
I went to Kroger's last night and got Mr Giggles a Snickers bouquet. He likes Snickers, but I hate them so I figured that would be a good gift since I won't eat them. He came in to tell me Happy V Day and kiss me good bye and I told him did he see the gift the VD Fairy left him? He said he thought maybe they came from my boyfriend and that obviously he doesn't know me well if he got me Snickers.
You all have a great day however you spend it.
Going to the casino tomorrow to give them all my hard earned money!
Hell, I am happy if I can go to a casino and last long enough for a free watered down drink.
We're celebrating my birthday which was Tuesday. If I had held out a few more days I could have been VD baby. We'll stay the night because after drinking all night, that 3 hour drive is a killer.
One year we went day right on my birthday and I won a $1000 twice on the same machine
Lucky.. : ) I never win.
My Nephew played a slot machine for the first time. On his second spin won 500. His girlfriend made him quit with the cash but then he had a bug and wanted to go back.
Happy Birthday, Trout!
Thanks for the card.
I stayed but didn't lose all my money. We got a new water heater and a washer with the winnings.
Thanks, Sandy!
Happy Valentine's Day and Happy belated Birthday, darling girl.
Win big and happy birthday
Happy Birthday Trout!!!
Thank you!
Headed to the beach for the weekend. Not the best weather but we do enjoy some restaurant/bar hopping.
Usually don't do anything for Valentines. Maybe cards or something. Normally busy this time of year with Mardi Gras. We sold the float though and don't ride anymore so more free time.
It feels weird though, like I lost a holiday. Not as much fun just being a spectator.
Planning for early dinner or late lunch for anything seafoodish, probably Red Lobstah !
in rough calculations, I estimate being single has saved me $10K on the past 16 valentines days.
Being single has its advantages. For instance, if I were single, I would have gotten the Reese's peanut butter cup bouquet instead of the Snickers
Then I'll expect a really really really really really really nice gift tonight.
I have no plans. If my husband were still alive he would have sent flowers and we would go out to dinner.
I'm very sorry for your loss, Paula
Thank you for that.
So sorry for your loss Paula. Holidays like this must suck for you.
Thank you. I have leaned to just treat most holidays as just another day. We never were big holiday people to begin with, so it really is not all that painful.
Just in case anybody is interested

I got roses and went to dinner last night for V day (we never go out on actual V day), which is a good thing since right after that my flu kicked in full throttle.
Hahahahaha!!!!!!!
I'm so sorry you got the flu. It sucks
Oh, no! You didn't keep far enough away from the hub! I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks Trout and Sandy.
I tried keeping away from him. Made him even sleep in the guest room and took Tamiflu and had a flu shot. It seems that this year's flu is the worst kind H3N2 and already in the US, over 10,000 deaths, so I won't complain... but if I write something stupid, it's because my brain is bleeding, LOL!
are you sure it wasn't the 4 kamikazes you had for dessert?
Shoosh, you aren't supposed to tell everyone that. I want their sympathy and no one gives it to a drunk, LOL!
Those were strictly for medicinal purposes.
Bluto to Flounder - "I suggest you start drinking heavily."
Eric Stratton - "Listen to him, he is premed."
Animal House
Senator Keeley: I don't really drink.
Agador: Yeah, but now is the time to pretend.
The Birdcage
Nothing like being a bio-hazard on Valentine's day.
Tis true. I wonder how many people I got sick at the restaurant. I feel badly about that.. but I went in feeling fine and walked out sneezing and a runny nose. It's like it comes out of nowhere.
We had to make other arrangments for Matt's dad. He's 91 and the last thing he needs is to get the flu.
Yeah, it is tough being human.
I know! And these viruses' primary purpose is to keep down the population down.
My wife steers clear of all candy, but she does like unique floral arrangements ... ergo:
Really nice. Us girls love flowers! (and I don't want candy either)
I like flowers, but Reese's tastes better than roses
Not to my cats.
That is beautiful and unique, especially the orchids
My wife loves orchids so I was pleased to see that as part of the overall arrangement.
Happy Valentine's Day - all my 'lovelies!' HA!
Currently Red and I are on board our Learjet 75 Liberty. We recently purchased it as a compliment to our set setting lifestyle.
We've been invited by Prince Henry and his lovely wife Megan to join them in the Vancouver BC area (exact location must be kept secret for security reasons) to celebrate Valentine's Day. We wondered why they invited us but a few minutes of speculating the answer dawned on us. Me, being Indigenous to North American (Canada is part of North America ya know) and Red being Indigenous to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn NY. they wanted to meet real Americans. They may be spending part of their time in the B.C. area and part in the LA area.
It's customary in my Amerian Indian culture to have a small gift to give to royalty or actually anyone you meet. (my cousin keeps inviting us over in the hopes that we'd bring more gifts. Not gonna happen)
We'll be gifting them $24 worth of trinkets and inform them they just sold us Scotland. (I always liked the name Braveheart).
Dinner tonight will be at a 1st Nations restaurant surrounded by First Americans. I'm sure one of the reasons that they are leaving England beside the horrible weather is that the food is really really bad. Mud pie anyone?
The festivities will include some native dancing. I'm quite the Fancy Dancer ya know and Red is a world-renown Flamingo Dancer. Hopefully, the Prince and Megan can cut a rug.
After dancing, we'll share a goodbye, our last, because our parting statement to them will be, ''thanks for stopping by now go back to where you came from, we're full up.'' Red will, of course, sing her favorite song to them as they head back to England...''When Irish Eyes Are Smiling''....
And that will be our Valentine's Day.
So just another average evening. LMAO
What - no Jay's Diner???????? Say it isn't so.
Happy Valentines Day to you too!
My wife of 42 years passed away three years ago so the day has lost a lot of meaning for me, but I still wish a Happy Valentine's Day to everyone else.
I'm very sorry for your loss, Ed.
A woman I grew up with has some health problems and is at assisted living home, I am taking her BBQ ribs for dinner, that's her favorite meal
Aw, that's sweet of you!
Wife and I went to movie last night - hot dogs, popcorn, M&M's, hand-holding and saw "Jumanji - The Next Level" - HILARIOUS watching Rock trying to sound like Danny DeVito and Kevin Hart trying to be Danny Glover. Theatre was only 1/2 full, no cell-phones or kids running up and down the aisles. Super enjoyable.
Happy Birthday Trout - go win some more bucks
I don't celebrate holidays anymore. But Happy Birthday.
Thanks everyone for the b-day wishes and the reciprocal Happy VD greetings.
I started out good at the casino and then I pissed it all away!
Still had fun, tho
I'll wish you a belated Happy Birthday, and a belated Happy Valentines Day, but i can't wish any a Happy VD Day, unless your name is Trumpp.
You got the order right! Best to win your fun money before you spend (lose) it rather than lose big and quit or (worse) stress yourself out trying to win it back.
Happy Birthday TG!
Awww! My "poor" Trout! The 'house' has done its best dastardly work yet again! Happy Birthday and Valentines to you!
Happy Bday to you TG and a happy Vday to you and yours.
