People more concerned about violence in cities than Capitol riot: Poll
By: Washington Examiner

A poll shows that a majority of U.S. voters are more concerned about the violence that took place in cities over the summer than the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
The most recent Harvard-Harris poll found that 55% of registered voters see violence in cities as more concerning, while 45% said the Capitol riot was more concerning. The poll also found that 71% of voters view antifa as a domestic terrorist group, with 29% of respondents disagreeing with that characterization. Meanwhile, 66% of respondents said they view the Proud Boys as a domestic terrorist group, while 34% said they do not view the group that way.
The poll comes as the Capitol riot continues to dominate much of the national discourse, with Democratic lawmakers carrying out hearings about the incident while Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has called for a 9/11 style commission report.
But voters view the violence that has plagued many of the major cities in the U.S. since the death of George Floyd as a more concerning issue, despite Democrats and major media outlets often casting these riots in a more positive light.
Voters also believe that the Capitol riots are being used by lawmakers in an attempt to suppress legitimate political movements, with 64% of respondents agreeing with that sentiment and 36% disagreeing.
Other issues covered by the poll were the popularity of President Biden's early onslaught of executive orders. Biden's most popular executive order was the mask mandate on federal property and airports, with 78% of voters viewing the policy favorably and 22% unfavorably. The president's moratorium on evictions was also popular, with 73% viewing the order favorably and 27% unfavorably.
Biden's least popular executive order was his move to let biological boys play girls sports, with 45% of voters viewing the policy favorably and 55% unfavorably. The executive order reducing deportations for illegal immigrants who have committed crimes was also unpopular, with 45% of voters saying they viewed the policy favorably and 55% unfavorably.
On border security, a large majority (67%) believe that people who cross the border illegally should be returned to Mexico, while 33% say those immigrants should be released in the U.S. and given a court date. When it comes to the border wall, 73% of voters say that holes in the wall should be patched up, while 27% say those holes should be left open. A majority of voters (79%) say the hundreds of miles of border wall that has already been constructed should be left up, while only 21% believe the wall should be dismantled.
Asked how voters believed the media treats Biden, 13% of the poll's respondents said the media is too tough on the president. Meanwhile, 46% of respondents said the media treats Biden too easily, and 41% said the coverage of Biden was just right.
The poll was conducted between Feb. 23-25 and surveyed 1,778 registered voters.

Nancy Pelosi has made as much hay out of the Capitol riot as is humanly possible, but Americans are not fooled. They saw the unending violence for the better part of a year. If they feel threatened, it is not because of an abnormality, it is because of an accepted form of violence and the emasculating of the brave men who protected us.
Yesterday's riot was particularly quiet. And yet the razor wire stays up and the troops remain.
And Pelosi's political stunt and street theater doesn't come cheap. Hopefully, she can pick a better caterer.

Normal human beings didn't expect another riot in DC yesterday. Those who rioted on Jan 6th are languishing in jail without bail as those who terrorized American cities all summer go free.
The double standard hypocrisy you expose is duly noted
Bravo!
For those who prefer a fuller view of the poll and not cherrypicked items:
yeah, I'd say that hobbles the right wing narrative quite a bit.
The poll also found that 71% of voters view antifa as a domestic terrorist group
I'm not surprised!
I'm not surprised that both you and the Washington Excreter cherrypicked.
What did you get out of it?
Polls are always just a "sample" of people.
I'm not saying that the data is wrong, right, or indifferent; I'm simply commenting on polls only being samples is the standard practice.
I'm only on page 39 of 189 ... if I don't get bored I'll get back to you.
it's their childish "they did it first" defense.
but, but, but the trump terrorists didn't set any fires, and they only looted after they pissed and shit in the capitol
.. that the Poofter Boys have basically the same rating as the ANTIFA crowd.
Perhaps that is why the Examiner didn't simply publish the entire PDF file.
... and here I thought it was because their dog ate it.
Then why did you omit, and not just admit, that Trumps' greatest conquest in his never ending plight to become the only number he feels is right, as he feels he's right, about being a number one, as he is, and then some, cause When Trump only LIES while sitting up embedded under his skin, and is known to be N is akin to perhaps a Tic cause Talk ain't cheap,. and Trump can and could say, man, i've been worried about every day this week, that ended in Y , the weekended at X o'clock, now, so nothing to Z afraid of, cause Y doesn't come after Z , and pretty easy to see, Z is after Y, not ?
True. The truth is obvious to most.
What happened late spring and into early fall was far worse
What I find interesting is the number of people in each demographic. It's not necessarily an equal amount across the board. Why were there far more suburban white people polled than the urban African American population?
Because there are more 'white' folks than 'black' folks.
They could've still created an equal sample.
I wouldn't answer. I don't do shitty, biased surveys.
That is the definition of polling, - a sample. Polling is largely accurate, always has been , but not perfect.
Thanks for that Hallux.
Harvard-Harris push polls are notoriously biased.
And Confederate General Jubal Early supposedly once wrote: "Those who knew me best, liked me best."
January 6th was not merely a "riot". It was an attempt to hijack our Democracy; a direct attack against the center of our government. It was a coup attempt.
Say it Vic, "It was a coup attempt".
Polls are stupid. They are always wrong. Can't trust polls. They are biased.
Hey look at this poll.
I always pay attention to poles.
Oh, that kind of poll.
Common sense.
Lol,,,
,,,
,,,yup no doubt about it,,,that was the guy that spurred the entire insurrection.
Reminds me of “Black Clansman”. Sure, this guy here is responsible for everything!
Wasn't aware that antifa had members much less any form of organization.
Ain't photo-shop cool?
Then you're in denial
From The Poll cited in the Article
Here is one from the same pole. Especially for Vic ,
Shall you dance? On that pole of yours....
