“This Nation…Belongs to You!”: Trump Gives Stirring Speech on Border Security During CPAC

Trump, in his brilliant CPAC speech, boldly declared that 2022 is “ the year that millions of everyday citizens stand up to the left-wing fascists. ” Let’s hope he’s right.
Part of that standing up “to the left-wing fascists” means protecting our borders, both to the south and the north.
As Trump recognized in his speech, we can neither let millions flood across the Rio Grande and desert border to our south, nor can we let the tyranny currently holding Canada in a vise-like grip spread south, erasing America and her Founding Ideals under the jackboot of a leftist stormtrooper.
Speaking on that, Trump boldly promised “We will finish the wall very quickly ,” referring to the border wall he tried to build during his first term.
Then turning to the issue of defending our borders and keeping America America, he said “ My fellow Americans, this nation does not belong to the Radicals … it belongs to you .”
Continuing on that tone of defiance in the face of the leftist attempt to eradicate all that makes America the nation we know (or at least knew) and love, he said:
“ So to all of those who think they can coerce and subjugate the citizens of this land, hear these words from me tonight: the people of America will not surrender our borders, we will not surrender our culture, we will not surrender our faith, we will not surrender our values, we will not surrender our history, we will not surrender our liberty; and above all, we will not surrender our children .”
But while those were some of the boldest messages Trump gave on the border during his CPAC address, he also had other, common sense things to say about our border and the left’s abdication of responsibility in dealing with it.
For example, he pointed out that it is “ interesting that so many Democrats in Washington seem to be rushing to microphones to declare that Ukraine’s borders are sacred ” and that they do so “ even while they are destroying our own borders and surrendering our own sovereignty .”
Russia can’t cross the Ukraine’s borders, in the views of the ruling elite, but millions of illegals can violate ours without there being an issue. That sort of idiocy is what Trump is best at ripping to pieces and he did so excellently in the above comment.
He also reiterated just what an abdication of duty and responsibility it is for Biden and his merry band of far-left radicals to abandon the defense of our border, saying “the most important duty of every elected lawmaker is to protect and defend America and that begins with protecting and defending our borders .”
But it wasn’t just illegals crossing the border to the south that Trump rallied on. He also savaged Canada and the tyranny within it, saying that those who “ truly want to fight for democracy ” should “ start with the democracy with the democracy that is under threat right next door, a place called Canada .”
He then went on to emphasize just how terrible events in Canada really are, saying “ in an advanced western democracy, the peaceful movement of patriotic truckers, workers and families for their most basic rights and liberties has been violently put down ” and that “ they are being hunted down like enemies of their own government and treated worse than drug dealers and murderers or rapists. ”
Speaking on the issue of our northern neighbor, Trump went on to say that “ a line has been crossed. You are either with the peaceful truckers or you are with the left-wing fascists, and that’s what’s been happening, and it’s been a strong line. We stand with the truckers, and we stand with the Canadian people in their noble quest to reclaim their freedom. ”
Trump is right, borders matter and our borders need to matter to Americans. We can’t import millions from the third world nor can we let the tyranny that has taken hold in Canada infect our great nation too.

I watched Trump's entire speech last night which is something I haven't done in a long long time and so I know of what I am speaking.
He's insane. That comes as a surprise to no one including his fans but guess what ? when they took the straw poll on the presidential contenders at the end of the night Trump had 59%, over double the percentage that the second-place finisher Ron DeSantis had.
The Republicans are going to nominate an insane criminal for the presidency in 2024 and this is not hyperbolic or exaggeration, this is the plain fact. What does that say about our country? other than that we are down the tubes.
He was mostly on his script with little random ad lib sections. It was a great message. It clearly energized his base and me and appealed on many issues to moderate and independent voters too. I thoroughly loved the speech and the message in it.
All the endless lying has never bothered you so it didn't bother you last night either.
