A conference to boost the development of ancient water towns in the Yangtze River Delta region was held in Lili ancient town in Suzhou on Feb 16, leading the joint application of the region's ancient water towns for world heritages.
Built in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), Tongli ancient town in Suzhou is home to a collection of cultural relics and historic sites, including well-preserved buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

When I was in China, I spent a day in Suzhou and a day in Zhouzhuang. They are two of the most beautiful and interesting places I have ever visited.

I knew you were there and I expected to see your comment about it. Unfortunately we only got to Suzhou, although we took a night cruise through the canals that was quite worth while. As for the Humble Administrator's Garden, here is my wife standing in front of a garden there similar to the one you posted.
