Since a member of NT has been posting a number of articles on NT pointing out the bad things Israel has been doing, mostly allowed by or caused by an extreme right-wing government and a Prime Minister more concerned with keeping himself out of jail that in benefiting the nation, I've decided to bring to your attention that Israel has also been a benefit to the whole world with amazing medical, technological and military inventions and creativity.  I think that the extreme right-wing government and Prime Minister in Israel will soon end, certainly by the next election, and Israel is known to have an awful lot of elections in a fairly short time span.

I am not going to copy and paste but ask that you open and view these web sites:

If anyone is contrary to Israel, or feels Israel should not exist, or is just a good old-fashioned anti-semite, then DON'T take advantage of any of the things Israel has benefitted the world with, or else you're nothing more than a common hypocrite.

And I'll add this:

Alexander Haig , a then-former U.S. Army general, and U.S. secretary of state under president Richard Nixon once said that, “Israel is the largest American aircraft carrier in the world that cannot be sunk, does not carry even one American soldier, and is located in a critical region for American national security.”

"What have the Palestinians accomplished?"

That is a very good question.  Now, because as I've posted elsewhere, and my avatar underlines the fact, I believe in balance.  I am inviting anyone and everyone to provide a list here of the benefits that the Palestinians and Gazans have brought to the world.  I am aware that members are not the only ones who read what we post on NT, but that our articles and seeds are also seen on Google or Microsoft Bing or any other search web site.  Although those who are not members can read what we post they cannot post anything unless they are members, so I am also inviting them to join us on TheNewsTalkers, apply for membership so they can post here and as it is my duty to check out every new member to make sure they are not spammers then as long as they don't post or link to spam I will accept them as new members.  We have all seen the news videos of hundreds of thousands of people who march and demonstrate in favour of the Palestinians and Gazans and Hamas and Hezbollah, and so I am asking them to join NT and post a list of the benefits brought to the rest of the world that their heroes have accomplished.

Since a member of NT has been posting a number of articles on NT pointing out the bad things Israel has been doing, mostly allowed by or caused by an extreme right-wing government and a Prime Minister more concerned with keeping himself out of jail that in benefiting the nation,

Since that member of NT is me I'll respond to that comment.

First off I have supported Israel from the beginning and have stated that they have the right to defend themselves and if that means destroying Hamas, so be it.

I have posted articles on the different peoples that support Israel in their wars and they are not Jews but citizens of Israel, I believe that most people on NT had no idea about these people, and I will be posting more. What Israel is doing in the West Bank and now Jerusalem isn't democratic nor morally correct and it will hurt Israel in the long run, you cannot claim to be a democracy and use those tactics. The excuse that it is the right wing government is fast becoming invalid. A vote can be called for at any time. If pointing out what I think is hurting Israel doesn't fit your agenda, that is on you.

As you're aware I have more invested in the ME than 99% of people on NT so I will continue to express my thoughts no matter your feelings or anyone else's.

I hope that clarifies everything on my part concerning this situation.

You are without a doubt a strong supporter of Israel, as am I.  That does not mean, however, that we cannot be critical of Israeli actions and policy when we believe the criticism is warranted.  That said, I'm not sure the NT member referred to is you.

Your comment is overly sensitive.  I know you are supportive of Israel.  I never said that posting negative stories about Israel was wrong, and in fact I have agreed with your stories and disagreed with what the ultra-religious have been doing to the other citizens of Israel.  At least two or three times I posted the fact that one of the reasons I despise the ultra-religious Jews because they are reported to have spit on Christian clerics, and my wife was insulted by locals shouting at her when we walked through the Meah Shearim ultra-Orthodox neighbourhood of Jerusalem because what she was wearing did not comply with their requirements.  In fact there is a personal reason why I despise them that I do not wish to reveal.  However, because negative stories about Israel were being posted I thought that perhaps a little BALANCE was required to indicate some positive things about Israel - BALANCE, as my avatar indicates.

OK, balance is also why I post what I do. Now for you and any other NT readers, there is no doubt where I stand on the situation.

I wouldn't call them negative stories about Israel more negative stories on the Israeli leadership and the right-wing orthodox followers.

Okay.  I've known you a long time and I know you are a strong supporter of Israel.  I'll consider what you've posted negative stories about some of the people in Israel rather than negative stories about Israel as a whole.  After all, I've posted negative things about some of the people of Israel myself.  What I've posted above is about what some of the people of Israel have done for the world rather than what Israel as a nation has done for the world.  Hope that settles it.
