Let's Chill, For a Bit! Videos!
You know, there's not much we can do about much of anything. We can't change the weather-- all we can do is dress for it's effects. We can't change the price of gasoline, stop the flow of the Niagara Falls, nor run up and pluck drowning polar bears from the sea. We can't do much of anything sometimes, but worry.
I can't turn back the hands of time and change the time I used a granular lawn care product and poisoned a bird, that ate it. I've said sorry, but I still weep for that bird, and I will NEVER EVER buy another granular product to put on the lawn again.
There is just not a whole lot I can do about a lot of things, but worry about them. And frankly, that's a bit counter-productive. So, in honor of all the world's problems, about which I can really do nothing, I'd like to chill out a bit.
Would you like to join me?
Here is one of my favorite songs! About friendship and Harmony , by Elton John, (follow link for lyrics).
I love this next song-- especially sitting next to water. In fact, it makes me feel like I'm sitting next to a peaceful place, with blue water, whether I am or not! A Good chilling song! Sailing by Christopher Cross!
And lastly, one of my very favorite songs. What a Wonderful World , by Louis Armstrong.
You know, it IS a wonderful old world out there. It's a wonderful old world in here, too!
Hope all of you have a lovely evening!
Thanks for coming by!
What a wonderful world! If only we can stop and see the wonder--
Love one another, and please be kind! Take care and have a lovely evening!
Happy Anniversary to my dear husband, Magnum! Love you, honey!
You put a smile on my face Dowser...I love Louie singing ''It's a Wonderful World''...Classic.
Happy anniversary to you and Magnum.
Hugs to you.
Yaaayyyyy! Happy Anniversary Dowser and magnum!
Dearest Kavika, thank you so much!
Having Magnum in my life has made me the happiest I've ever been in my life. He is a very dear man!
HUGS to you too, my dear friend-- I love all of you, very much!
First Happy Anniversary to you and Magnum. Matt's and mine is in 6 days!
Next what a great idea for an article. Two of my favorite songs that I haven't thought of in a very long time, Harmony and What a Wonderful World.
So now I want to add to your songs that make me and you smile. This one is for you and your hubby.
Mine and Matt's wedding song
And finally one I couldn't resist...
Thank you my dear friend!
Since I met him, it seems like about 5 minutes have passed!
Time sure flies when you're having fun...
Perrie, these are PERFECT! Golly!
I've got to go to Amazon and buy that Michael Buble hit, and "fragile", both of them are simply beautiful! Perfect! I was "sailing" with them both!
The Association is one of my very favorites-- always has been. I don't know if I have that one, or not-- I'll have to dig around in my music files! So Happy Together is one of my very favorites, too! Somehow, I used to drive around in the car, singing to that one at the top of my lungs-- same for Day Dream Believer! I KNOW I have both of those in my music library!
How wonderful! What fun! Thank you, so much, for the lightheartedness, and the beauty!
((((((((((((Perrie)))))))))))))))
Was that sung by Howard Kaylan, (The Turtles)? He was born in NYC!!! GOLLY! I looked him up-- last time I saw him perform, late 1960s, not in person, on TV, he had really wild hair-- he was a handsome boy, wasn't he? That song is so great...
Ok, I thought of another one-- I love this song!!! Let it Be , by The Beatles...
I used to play this over and over and over. I bet my parents could have KILLED me!
Warmest wishes on the anniversary, Many happy returns.
Thanks so much for being you, and sharing your goodness with the rest of us.
This is an inside joke, but who does not love this cut ?
Much Love as always, 84.
As a fellow "Loony", I LOVE that song! It's one of my favorites! thanks for those lyrics, too-- I have the most awful time understanding them, sometimes!
If I ever go to the dark side of the moon-- I hope you're there, too! Meaning that only in the fact that it would be nice to have your company! ("There's someone in my head, it's not me" Yeah, I know that feeling!
I'm never worthy!!!
Much love to you, my dear friend! May your day tomorrow be a happy one-- I hope that you can enjoy sunshine tomorrow!
Sailing - Christopher Cross! yay!
One of my very favorites! Again!
I love you, too, dear Mike! Thanks so much for your wonderful contributions!
Those are great songs! We had the best of it, didn't we?
Kids today have no good music to choose from... And yeah, I sound old, but it's true!
So, on the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young-- I can pick out David Crosby, on the far left, but which were the other two up front? One of my favorite songs... I love that one!
Here is another favorite they sing: Southern Cross!
Peace!!!!
One of my favorite songs I think fits in here...
I have always loved this song. Many many years ago, we sang it at All Campus Sing-- 80 girls in putrid lime green dresses-- but we won 1st place-- and all of us loved that song.
John Lennon was such a soulful person! Sigh! Wonderful! I miss him...
Thank you, my dear friend, for your wonderful contribution!
Aand this is for Dowser and Magnum,...happy anniversary....
I love that one too! He has a strange voice, but it is oddly pleasing! Harvest Moon!
Thanks, so much, for telling me who was who-- I never got to buy albums when I was a kid, so still have trouble putting names to faces. Are they all still alive, I hope?
Note: to me, the guy on the harmonica looks like Billy Bob Thornton... But I guess that is Neil Young... LOL! What do I know? Not much!
Yes, they really do! GREAT song!
Thanks so much! Yep, that's us, except I'm not as skinny as Alice/Wilma!!! LOL!
The three songs that have meant the most in my life are,...in this order,...
Gotta admit. I'm drawn to the dark side musically. I'll trade politics for art, music, and literature any day of the week though so I'm gonna give it a shot. Guess I'll just pick some that make me smile, tap my feet or, make me want to pick up my guitar.
Currently my favorite love song.
What beats a Johnny Cash cover by a lovely Canadian? I ast you that.
The Gourds cover The Snoop.
Mike Farris, frontman for The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, gets all gospeled out.
Just because it kills.
Daniel Johnston. Yo La Tengo gives a hand.
What a wonderful collection of feel-good music, Dowsie! Yes, the Louis Armstrong is one of my ablolute favorites of all time. No, we cannot change most things going wrong in the world, but we can find solace in the beauty of music and the harmony within ourselves, if we try. Thank you for posting these! Love you bunches, my friend!
I love you, too! Take care, dearest Neetu!
Why, thank you, Mike! Now we have a wonderful weekend-collection of music to listen to and forget about the world!
just a small observation,...but with a few more video post here on this article,.... ....you tube may be changing its name to Dowser Tube....
Old School! Sweet.
Ever hear Tom Waits cover of Sovine's Phantom 309?
Some New Old School:
I love this one and always have! Glen Miller was SOOOO good!
We just got back from a "day trip"-- and I'm WHUPPED-- Anyway, I'll be back later to listen to these lovelies!
Much love to all and thanks for the contributions!
LOL! Maybe...
This could possibly be interpreted as more inappropriate as my last entry. I don't think so. Time is the true test of any relationship, One that can grow and flourish in any relationship is a testament to our humanity. I think that the music here pays tribute to that. In any case, I still offer this for your listening pleasure, it has treated me well, I can only hope you find some joy in it.

and what would Dowser Tupe be without this video,....
Wow! That's your son? He's good! And I really like the second one, too!
Great "chill" music!
I remember this! It's a great song! I love it!
Golly, they were young, and so clean cut to be singing about the House of the Rising Sun!
Very popular song, back in the day...
Now THAT would be fun!
Sweet! Tell your son I Tip My Stetson and wave my Telly in his direction. Very nice. I've got an early '70's cream Strat too. Hey, if you can talk him into more vids, please do. I like the second one as well. Never heard of em prior to.
Some Indy Hick:
And, some smokin blues
Maybe you're old enough to appreciate that it's always best to follow your heart... I don't blame you! He has a lot of talent! I wish he could teach Peep for a bit. Peep has some talent, but is unfocused. He's got this erhu, and while I love it, he still can't bow it right. It drives me NUTS.
I think you're a great dad! You love your son, and it shows. What more could anyone ask?
I love you too, my dear friend! Thank you so much for your contributions!
Here is a very pretty song-- erhu and piano:
Don't feel bad.
I'm a crappy Dad too. One daughter is a singer/song writer, the other a social worker/artist/musician. I encouraged them both to live a life of poverty, rejection and little respect. Hey, it works for me.
Well, I do hope he'll get around to sharing a little more when he gets the chance. Nothing like slow burning blues on guitar. It's good for what ails you.
"Music is the only religion that delivers the goods." Frank Zappa
You know, I was really lucky to be in the world the same time that Louis Armstrong was here... He's always been someone I just wanted to hug and say, Thank You, sir.
Sigh! I surely do miss him!
Louie did indeed, and still does, rule.
He was a very nice man, too. Beloved!
This makes me think of Uncle Louie and Aunt Lois, taking tea on the veranda... I think I have this song on a big old 78, somewhere. How I love that music! Cheerful!
Thanks Tex, you've brightened my day in so MANY ways today!
Well, I think it was all this music that brightened the day but you are welcome.
Ever get into Bix Beiderbeck and the Wolverines?
Here's a nice one.
Uncle Louie was a big fan of Bix Bieder--- he and Aunt Lois had no children, so they had quite a record collection! Fortunately, I have most of them!
Oh yes. Stars Fell on Alabama... Uncle Louie used to play this on the organ. What a beautiful voice the woman has-- WOW!
GREAT songs!
Happy anniversary Dowser and Magnum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awwww, shucks!
I love those songs! I'll be sure to share them with Magnum when he gets home tonight! Karen Carpenter always made it sound so easy... I sure do miss her!
Thanks so much for your wonderful good wishes!
