Washington (CNN) The FBI has information that indicates associates of President Donald Trump communicated with suspected Russian operatives to possibly coordinate the release of information damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign, US officials told CNN.

This is partly what FBI Director James Comey was referring to when he made a bombshell announcement Monday before Congress that the FBI is investigating the Trump campaign's ties to Russia, according to one source.

The FBI is now reviewing that information, which includes human intelligence, travel, business and phone records and accounts of in-person meetings, according to those U.S. officials. The information is raising the suspicions of FBI counterintelligence investigators that the coordination may have taken place, though officials cautioned that the information was not conclusive and that the investigation is ongoing.

If this bears out, it could mean the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency.

Meeting can be strong evidence of collusion, especially since all 17 of our intelligence agencies agree that the Russians were actively involved in disrupting our election in 2016 and there is no reason to think that they have stopped. Since this is a unique case, we have never had this happen before where a Presidential campaign has been accused of such a thing, one wonders exactly what crimes they would be charged with? Espionage? Treason? Certainly it would go beyond impeachment and into criminal court.

There was one scary comment I heard on TV to day which was that Trump could just preemptively pardon any all persons being investigated, effectively stopping any and all investigations.

If the Trump campaign is found to have co-ordinated with the Russians I believe it will eventually end his presidency, long before his first term is up.

I saw this today

The FBI probe into Trump and Russia is huge news. Our political system isn’t ready for it.

Imagine someone had told you, a few years ago, that the FBI would soon be investigating a possible plot by a Republican presidential campaign to help Russia interfere in the US election — and that this interference had ultimately helped Donald J. Trump become president of the United States. You would have laughed in their face, or maybe accused them of confusing reality with a particularly lurid Tom Clancy novel.

But we learned on Monday morning that this is absolutely, 100 percent, without a doubt our reality. FBI Director James Comey confirmed it in testimony before the House Permanent Subcommittee on Intelligence, telling the assembled representatives that his counterintelligence investigators were looking into the Trump team’s links to Russia.

“[The FBI is] investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia’s efforts,” Comey said.

We’re so used to reports on Trump’s Russia ties that it’s easy to lose sight of the enormity here: There is an official FBI investigation into a presidential campaign’s possible collusion with a hostile foreign power for the first time in US history . Seasoned national security reporters, like the New York Times’s Matt Rosenberg, can scarcely believe it:

CM, we are living in an alternate reality than most of us grew up with.  Our reality tv president, who could not tell the truth if his life depended on it, is defining down our national morality.

Can't get anymore damning than anonymous sources saying "possibly."

No surveillance.  Nothing to see here, but what about the investigation that has been going on since last June?  Who ordered it and what about all three top brass saying they have found no connection between the Russians and the Trump campaign?

They can't have it both ways.  What's really troubling for me is the lack of concern about who are the people who are supposedly leaking any information.  We know Obama opened the door to all the agencies to receive information right before he left office, right after he stabbed Israel in the back and before he tried to give the Palestine Authority millions of dollars after the British took their money back after discovering the Palestine Authority was suspected of supporting terrorism.

I think a few top brass are trying to save the ass.

All you have to do is listen to what the man said and see this is twisted fake news.
