Russia And China Send Troops And Tanks To North Korea Border As Ramp Up To War Continues

Vladimir Putin is sending troops and equipment to Russia's border with North Korea over fears the US is preparing to attack Kim Jong-un. The Russian President fears there will be a huge exodus of North Korean refugees if his American counterpart, Donald Trump, launches military action against Pyongyang.

Russia’s troop movement comes after China has already sent 150,000 troops to its own frontier with North Korea

Vladimir Putin is sending troops and equipment to Russia’s border with North Korea over fears the US is preparing to attack Kim Jong-un. The Russian President fears there will be a huge exodus of North Korean refugees if his American counterpart, Donald Trump, launches military action against Pyongyang.

It comes days after it emerged that China is also sending 150,000 soldiers to its southern frontier to cope with the tidal wave of North Koreans Beijing fears would flee across the border if war breaks out.

This morning, footage emerged appearing to show how Putin is reinforcing his 11-mile border with North Korea by relocating troops and equipment.

Putin sends troops to Russia’s border with North Korea:

A video purports to show one of three trains loaded with military equipment moving towards the 11 mile-long land frontier between Russia and the repressive state.

Another evidently highlights military helicopter movements towards the North Korean border and manoeuvres across rough terrain by army combat vehicles. Other reports suggest there have been military moves by road as well.

There have been concerns that if a conflict breaks out Russia could face a humanitarian exodus from North Korea. But Putin has been warned, too, that in the event of a US strike on Kim Jong-un’s nuclear facilities, contamination could swiftly reach Russia.

‘Railway trains loaded with military equipment moving towards Primorsky region via Khabarovsk have been noticed by locals,’ reported primemedia.ru in the Russian far East – linking the development to the North Korean crisis.

‘The movement of military equipment by different means of transport to southern areas is being observed across Primorsky region over the past week,’ said military veteran Stanislva Sinitsyn.

‘Many relate this to the situation in the Korean peninsula.

‘The video shows artillery systems that either support troops in assault or meet the aggressor.’

He said: ‘The movement of military equipment means that authorities of our country are keeping up with the situation – and take appropriate measures.’

The movements were ‘a preventive but necessary’ measure.

‘If the situation worsens, especially related to military events, the armed forces of all the neighbouring countries obviously monitor it more closely, and we are no exception. ‘It is not the first time that North Korea has broken the peace in the region, that’s why this situation deserves attention.’

Russian military spokesman Alexander Gordeyev declined to give the exact reasons for the troop and equipment movements but said exercises had recently ended in the TransBaikal region of Siberia.

However, a number of local sources appear to believe the movements are linked to the Korean crisis.

The naval port of Vladivostok – where Russia has huge military forces – is less than 100 miles from North Korea. Expert on the repressive state, Konstantin Asmolov, said: ‘Should the US strike with missiles at North Korea’s nuclear facilities, a radioactive cloud will reach Vladivostok within two hours.’

Russian bombers near Alaska twice in 24 hours:

Asmolov, from the Russian Far Eastern Institute, warned that in the event of full-scale war ‘hungry asylum seekers will flood into Russia.’

Russia on Wednesday blocked UN Security Council condemnation of Pyongyang’s latest missile test – even though China, which has a major frontier with North Korea had backed the strongly-worded statement put forward by the United States.

The proposed statement would have demanded that North Korea ‘conduct no further nuclear tests’ and halt missile launches. Pyongyang carried out a failed test on Sunday. Russia wanted to include language contained in a previous statement stressing the need to achieve a solution through dialogue, according to council diplomats.

Moscow’s deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov said: ‘Unfortunately, we have to admit that the risk of a serious conflict in this region has substantially increased.’ He called for a ‘demonstration of responsibility’ from all sides to avoid escalation. source

One thing you never hear about is North Koreans sneaking into Russia.  I guess Putin wants the world to think that their 11 mile border with NK needs to be fortified to resist something that would never happen.

Interesting, it seems that Russia wants to take advantage of the current situation, which is not surprising at all.

"‘The video shows artillery systems that either support troops in assault or meet the aggressor." The troop movements are for more than just a possible influx of refugees...

Two of the three world powers share a border with North Korea. We are thousands of miles away.

Talk about a flash point.

Mike Pence was in Australia today repeating the same line he has been throughout Asia. That if China does not take care of North Korea, then the US and our "allies" will. First of all he needs to keep his fucking mouth shut. The number one reason Kim Jung Um is so paranoid right now is the aggressive talk from D.C. and Trump and Tillerson and Pence are making it worse. Un's whole reason for building Nukes is the fear that the US is going to invade from the South. China is working it's ass off to try to convince him that that is not going to happen and to keep the peace, but they work hard to say it's not going to happen and one of the Three Fucking Stooges rattles a saber and stirs up the war shit all over again! Trump, Pence and Tillerson need to have their fucking mouths sewn shut!

The only possible reason they can have for their constant threats is one. They WANT a war in Korea! They are BEGGING for a war in Korea! They are thirsting for a war in Korea! Their pricks are hard at the idea of a war in fucking KOREA! They are just about ready to cum IF they get a war in Korea because they think it will make TRUMP look strong (when it will only make him the single worst terrorist on the planet!) and they hope it will rally America behind their heroic (moronic) war President and make everyone forget that he is nothing more then a turned Russian asset kneeling in front of Putin who gave him the Oval Office and who, with Tillerson, will pull off the greatest grand theft of money in world history when EXXON/Mobil gets to start drilling in Northern Russia. And none of them. Not a one of them, not Trump, not his boss Putin nor their co-conspirator Tillerson, give a flying FUCK how many innocent Koreans in Seoul or in the South or American soldiers or Sailors or Marines or Airmen will DIE for this to happen because they just plain don't care about anyone but themselves and how much money they can make and FUCK THE DEAD MEN, WOMEN, CHILDREN AND BABIES THEY WILL MURDER TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Of course if they can't start a blood bath in Korea, there is always Iran. Either one will work for their plans. They really don't care either way.

Yesterday the Treasury Dept turned down Exxon request to drill in the Black Sea.

I wish that all of the administration would just keep their mouths shut. Let's try to keep things from getting out of control.

The Chinese have moved fighter jets and 150,000 troops to the NK border. Yesterday Russia moved tanks and troops to their border with NK. (11 miles of common border)...Things can quickly go wrong in this environment.

Ok folks let's get back on topic.

The comment by Barney was so ridiculous that it isn't worth time of members that can actually think.

''Russia on Wednesday blocked UN Security Council condemnation of Pyongyang’s latest missile test – even though China, which has a major frontier with North Korea had backed the strongly-worded statement put forward by the United States.''

Interesting, it seems that Russia wants to take advantage of the current situation, which is not surprising at all.

This all needs to be put in context. Trump violated international law and unilaterally attack on Syria to punish them because he believed they had used chemical weapons. Afterwards, Trump went to the UN seeking a resolution condemning Syria. Russia said that was backwards because the incident should have been investigated first and appropriate action taken afterwards. Trump blew Russia off and Russia vetoed the resolution.

Shortly thereafter, Kim started missile tests. Trump responded by threatening Kim with unilateral action. Both China and Russia objected to this saber rattling as unnecessarily provocative. China, in particular, has urged that Trump restart the six party talks with NK. Trump ignored them and proposed a UN resolution opposing the NK plan to launch a liquid-fueled ballistic missle.  Russia wanted the resolution to repeat earlier UN language that welcomed any effort by other members seeking a peaceful resolution "through dialogue." Trump declined to include "through dialogue" but didn't say why. Russia wouldn't agree to the resolution without the language and Trump responded by tabling the whole thing. China abstained on the vote.

To me, this entire dance is about Russia insisting that Trump follow international law and stop dictating to everybody else while Trump is doing whatever he wants and looking to the UN for a rubber stamp.

Russia and China are moving military assets to the NK border, presumably to show Trump that their national interests are at stake and that this is not a situation to be taken lightly . . . where he can cavalierly wave his hand and just blow something up for his personal satisfaction.

1ofmany, I agree with most of your comment. The sable rattling by the administration is doing nothing but inflaming the situation.

I stated earlier, you have two world power with common borders with NK. The US is thousands of miles away, except for the troops that we have in South Korea...A retaliatory strike by NK would set up a series of events that could soon spin out of control.

Once that genie is out of the bottle it's not going to be put back in.
