In most states, marijuana is a bargain compared to beer
Marijuana is really cheap relativeto beer in most statesand really not in, well, only a few.
We used marijuana street prices from crowdsourcing site priceofweed.com to estimate the price of a single marijuana joint (or roughly 0.4 grams of weed, because academia says so ) in each state. We alsotook the listed price for a six-pack of beer fromonline alcohol retailer wineaccess.com and applied state-specific beer taxes toapproximate the cost of a 12 ounce bottle of Bud Light (or roughly one drink, because the government says so ) in each state. What wefound is that the relative affordability of each drug varies quite a bit depending on where you live.

Pot smoker here John. Do you think that everyone smokes, and that they get stupified when they do? Have you never experienced the pleasure of catching a buzz around the campfire, or while playing a game of pool with your buds, or after a nice date with your wife, before bed? Regardless of your description, people don't smoke aJ and turn into zombies.
I think that both have their place in the market place. Nothing will replace the beer as part of a social activity, but pot is good if you feel like you need to mellow out from a tough day.
I hear what you're sayin' John. You have an open invitation to visit my campfire and enjoy a beer anytime (or bud, or coffee, ...or whatever)!
I'm guessing they tried to compare mid-grade quality. If ya go to the site where this seed got it's info...
ya might get a better idea, but I really didn't see the article stating one way or another. I do notice that North dakota is the most expensive...I'm assuming that's because of logistics.
